Aruke: Ha... Ha... Ha...

Aruke is running through an alley, looking very tired. Shouts of warped words fill the air as Aruke dodges green spells sent his way by a Japanese-looking girl with brown hair, brown eyes, a black shirt and blue jeans.

Girl: (growls) You won't get away this time! I won't let you! (sends more spells his way)

Aruke: (dodges) You can try, Karan Kenyu! But I won't let you! (tries to turn, but finds he's in a dead end) What?! 

Karan: (laughs as a green mist slowly engulfs Aruke) Good night, Headmaster~! You'll be asleep for a while~

Aruke: N.... No.... (struggles to fight the sleepiness, but fails and falls to the ground, unconscious)

Karan: (smirks, snaps her fingers)

The green mist become ropes as they wrap themselves around Aruke, binding and gagging him effectively. 

Karan: I'll get my revenge soon... Just you wait, 小(ちい)さな探偵(たんてい) (Chiisana tantei =Small Detectives {Japanese}).... MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! (snaps her fingers again)

A purple portal opens up underneath the two, dropping them in before closing, as if it hadn't been there at all. The only thing that was left was a shadow watching from above. 

Screen fades to black.

The opening begins.

(The music starts playing as Natsume Amano turns into Shuka's awakened form, then Akino Kin opens up the game system as Ryaku Mizuya opens up his Magical Gates and Young Aruke Kin activates the Nature power.)

(Keisuke Amano is shown leaning against a wall, while a silhouette who's hugging a monochrome bear grins maliciously as Keisuke curls up, crying a bit.)

(Rau Maui looked determined as he readies his mirror with Bao En Sae and Konju Rudi by his side, also doing the same thing.)

(Tenade takes it, and it's revealed to Bloody, Chilly, and Mountaineering, who all smile at her. She smiles back.)

(Everyone is smiling for a camera, and it goes CLICK! Then the title of the story is stamped on the picture.)

Episode 1: Kidnapped Fate Changers and Burnt Books

Keisuke: (is staring at 6 people in a courtroom with an eerie smile) So, this is how it ends huh? I lost....

Natsume: Keisuke, stop this! This isn't you-

Keisuke: Aw~ Are you trying to sweet-talk me? So cute~ However, rules are rules~ I must die~ Oh, this is going to be beautiful!~ (his hand hovers over a button)

Touma: NO! KEISUKE! (reaches out)

Akinori: Please! Don't!

Ayame: You're our friend Keisuke!

Keisuke: Eh~ What makes you say that?~ (goes depressed) No one cares for me anymore. Not since Ken-chan died.

??????: (has bone-white hair, brown eyes) Don't give in Keisuke...

Keisuke: Eh? Who gave you the right to say that?~ (goes perky again)

??????: H-Huh? (is taken aback, blinks)

Keisuke: A murderer should know her place. Especially you, Neechan. (looks at ??????)

Natsume: K-Keisuke?...

??????: I-I.....

Keisuke: But anyway, I have to go now~ This is going to be so (eyes swirl a bit) much fun~ IT'S PUNISHMENT TIME! (hits it)

Natsume: NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Keisuke: AHHHHHHHHH! (shoots awake, his eyes are frantic, hands move to his neck to rub a ring which is strung around his neck, soon gets his bearings) Ah.... (sighs) It was that dream... Again...

Keisuke: (rubs his eyes) That was really vivid though. I felt deja vu come after me like a wrecking ball..... (shrugs) Ma, ma, I guess it's nothing. (gets off the bed, begins walking to the bathroom)

The scene soon shows Keisuke walking down to greet his family, including Natsume as they all sit down to eat breakfast. After that, the 2 kids head up and grab their school bags before heading off to school.

Keisuke: (is talking to himself as he walks) What WAS that dream though? There isn't any logical reason behind it. It's been weeks since I started dreaming that up. It's definitely not because I watched anything related to that. I remember clearly that I hadn't watched anything that terrifying. Not since.... (hands go to rub the ring again) Not since Ken-chan.... Died....

Keisuke: (puts his chin on his hand) But if that's the case, where did it come from?... And why do I always see that monochrome bear in my hands?... It doesn't make sense at all.... .... (sighs) Ah... Whatever. I guess I can always ask Neechan about it. (arrives at school, his frown turns into a smile, as if the frown had disappeared of the face of the earth)

Later on, at the Agency, Keisuke arrives first.

Keisuke: Hey, Fudou Myouou Boy, Junior, Micchy, Whisper.

Fudou Myouou Boy: Oh, Keisuke! Did you bring Chocobo?

Junior: Chocobo! Chocobo!

Keisuke: (laughs) Sorry, I didn't.

Fudou Myouou Boy: Aw.... Why not?

Keisuke: I didn't pass by the chocobo store earlier, so yeah. 

Fudou Myouou Boy: Don't give me a "so yeah"! My life depends on Chocobo! (begins shaking Keisuke back and forth)

Keisuke: Stop shaking me already!!!!! (is getting dizzy)

Fudou Myouou Boy: (doesn't notice) GIVE ME CHOCOBO!!!!!!!

Keisuke: I don't have any!!! (then sees swirls and a girl's silhouette) H-Huh?

Fudou Myouou Boy: DON'T HUH ME!!!! GIVE ME CHOCOBO!!!!

Keisuke: AHHHHH!!!! (eyes swirl)

Fudou Myouou Boy: (misinterprets it as a sign of his victory) So you've finally shown your true colours!! HOW DARE YOU!!! (shakes him even more)

Keisuke: (doesn't know what he's saying) Hahahahahaha~ More... more... more... Give me-

Akinori: ただいま (tadaima = I'm home) - (eyes widen) Keisuke! (rushes over, separates the two)

Keisuke: H-Huh? (rubs his head) Ah... I think I got some brain damage... (thinks: What was I saying a while ago?...)

Fudou Myouou Boy: Oi Akinori! Keisuke was being mean! He didn't buy me chocobo!

Akinori: That is no reason to shake him like that! Besides, I bought Chocobo! (takes out a plastic)

Fudou Myouou Boy: YAY! (takes one out) いっただきます！( begins eating)

Akinori: Your manners, Fudou Myouou Boy!

Fudou Myouou Boy: Huh?! What?! I already said-

Akinori: Apologise to Keisuke!

Fudou Myouou Boy: I don't want to!!

Akinori: Apologise now!

Fudou Myouou Boy: (pouts) Fine. I'm sorry Keisuke. Is that good enough?

Akinori: Much better.

Keisuke: (laughs a bit) Thanks Akinori.

Akinori: No problem!

Natsume: We're here! (walks in with Touma and Ayame, blinks) Eh? What happened here?

Akinori: Keisuke was being tortured by Fudou Myouou Boy for chocobo. 

Natsume, Touma, Ayame: Ah.

Ungaikyou: (sweat drops) Is that all you can say? 

Jorogumo: Lesson number 1, don't underestimate them. 

Rasen: Lesson two, don't go waging war on them. 

Mister Movien: Lesson 3, don't EVER make them mad. 

Keisuke: (sweatdrops again) No comment. 

Akinori: But anyway! Now that everyone's here, we can get to business!

Touma: The case we're taking is the Burnt Books case, right?

Akinori: Yeah. (opens up a news video on his laptop)

The video shows a lady reporting from her studio.

News Reporter: The world is in turmoil as more books are being burnt. The worldwide book arson case, as it has now been dubbed, isn't showing signs of ending until every single book is burnt and gone, which is why people have now been told to keep their houses safe from book burglars.

Akinori: (stops the video) This is quite the case, don't you think? 

Touma: It might be the work of a bunch of Youkai who don't like books. 

Ayame: It's kind of unbelievable, though... It's happening everywhere, even here.... 

Natsume: (takes out some news reports) I've collected the ones that have happened here so far. (passes it out)

Keisuke: (gets 4, while the rest get one) Wait, hold on, Neechan! Why do I get 4?

Akinori: Because you're the one with nothing else to do these days. We still have to start studying for our exams-

Keisuke: Which ended yesterday. (blunt tone)

Akinori: O-Oh right... (sheepishly rubs his head) Sorry. 

Keisuke: It's fine. 

Ayame: If you want, we can take in more-

Keisuke: (sighs) No need. I'll just comb through these on my own. (begins looking at them as he stands up and goes out)

The 8 look at one another, worry evident in their eyes. Then Mitsue comes in.

Mitsue: (mumbles) This isn't good.... This isn't good at all...

Touma: (blinks) Obaba-san? 

Ayame: どしたんですか？(Doshitandesuka? = What happened?)

Mitsue: This case must be solved! Otherwise, the Fate Changer may die!

All: HUH?! 

Natsume: What are you talking about, Obabasan?!

Mitsue: Books are the roots for some of the most prominent worlds in the fictional world! If their roots are destroyed, the worlds will fall! And so will the Fate Changer! This will cause him to slowly become sicker and sicker until he's gone!

Touma: (alarmed) Then we have to hurry! 

Ayame: Agreed!

The scene then changes to the non-fictional world in a certain Indonesian town, where a bunch of kids and adults are watching the news as well.

News Reporter: (is interviewing a civilian) What do you think of this extraordinary case? 

Civilian: This is madness! Whoever is burning these books must stop! Stop I say!

Ryaku: (is lying on his bed) Agreed. 

Manuel: This madness has to end. 

Bao En: (growls) That's the thing these days. No one seems to like books. 

Kuriwa: (looks worried) But this is taking it to extreme heights, don't you think? 

Lizzy: (sighs) I've been poring over the cases with the others for so long, and yet I have nothing. 

Ceels: A-Ah... 

Lucy: I still can't believe this is happening.

Kai: Neither can I....

Tadeoniu: None of us can believe it... 

Tireni: (frowns) Who knows what might happen if this continues... 

Tenade: Huh?

Bloody: What are you talking about, Tireni?

Reaper: (is sitting on top of Tadeoniu's head) Well, books stabilise the magic. So if they're being burnt like this, the magic will grow increasingly unstable...

Chilly: That's a good point.

Mountaineering: This can't be a mere dislike for books, though. Something's going on. Something big.

Lucy: (groans) Why did Cellyne and Friendliness have to go away during this time?

Kai: (sighs) True.

Bao En: Let's not think about it, guys.

Ryaku: Yeah. We have to keep protecting the town.

Tireni: (laughs) Ah.

Tadeoniu: (small smile) Agreed.

Tenade: (grins) Let's give it our all then!

All: AH!

Soon, it switches to an apartment in Singapore, where 4 adults sit in a dining room as they cut off various articles.

Akino: (photocopies an article which will be cut) This is one confusing case, don't you think?

Chenhua: (is choosing the articles) Ah. Who on Earth would want to burn every single fictional book in the world?

Rau: (shrugs) We can never know. (cuts up the articles and passes the papers to Choiseung, who sticks them to their case board)

Choiseung: Not really. We can only know that it's someone who knows Uncle Aruke.

Chenhua: True... I mean, it's kind of obvious seeing that Aruke disappeared the same day these book burnings began.

Akino: I'm really worried about this. What if Dad got into trouble?! What if he ended up getting into another mess?!

After they had returned to the real world, Aruke had named them honorary Borrowed Actors and explained everything to them regarding his job. To Akino, that explained why he never seemed to have to go to offices to work (Apparently, he did part-time jobs to keep an eye on things), and could spend time with him when he was a kid. In a way, it both comforted and worried him.

Rau: (pats him) Hey, it'll be fine. You don't have anything to worry about.

Akino: (sighs) I hope so...

Then the scene changes once more to 1992, in Yukon, Canada, where 2 teens are talking.

Konju (15-year-old): (concerned) You okay?

Young Aruke: (rubs his head) Yeah... (gets a headache, winces) Agh... These headaches are getting worse....

Konju: Maybe there's something going on in the fictional world?

Young Aruke: Already checked... Nothing's going on....

Konju: Hm... Maybe it's from the future? Chaos DID say that Fate Changers could feel any problems in the future.

Young Aruke: Good point. (sighs) I just wish this pain would stop.

Konju: Hey, it'll be fine, Ruke. (pats him on the back) You can handle this.

Young Aruke: (cracks a smile) Yeah, I suppose so. Thanks, KonKon.

Konju: No problem! (grins)

Young Aruke: (grins back)

What none of them knew was that they were about to fall into an unforgettable adventure.....

Tenade: I am perplexed Ryaku. 

Akinori: Ahhhhhh! What's going on?!

Konju: Let's go, Ruke.

Rau: Come on. Let's go find Uncle Aruke.

Tenade, Akinori, Konju, Rau: Next time, on Universal Collision!

Portal Problems

Welcome to the Fate Changer series' finale! This story is going to be a lot more action-packed and serious as the 33-membered cast faces their demons and fight to find Aruke, who has been kidnapped by Karan Kenyu. If you are confused on who she is, go ahead and read chapter 16 of Hidden Friends, which has Lizzy explaining her past. I will try to make this match with the first trailer as much as I can, so expect some deviations from the trailer.
