Akinori: How?!

Mountaineering: I second that! Us CGs are not supposed to be seen by humans! Only a certain few can!

Frisk: (sweatdrops) Well... My family is involved with CGs, so I can't really say much.

Mountaineering: E-Eh? (suddenly eyes widen) W-Wait, could you be Frisk from Undertale?

Frisk: That's my name alright! (smiles)

Mountaineering: (eyes widen) You have a family?...

Frisk: Yeah. (looks confused) Did you believe that I was an orphan?

Mountaineering: N-Not really... (shakes head) I-It's just that the game never said anything about you having a family.

Frisk: (shrugs) The truth is a bit horrible. Remy was sent away to an orphanage JUST BECAUSE he was born 24 hours after me. (sighs) It was a bit unfair to him, to be honest.

Akinori: (curious) Remy?

Frisk: (smiles slightly) He's my twin. (takes out their phone) Want to see my family?

Mountaineering: (enthusiastic) Sure!

Akinori: Sounds like it'll be okay.

Frisk: Alright. (opens it, clicks on the gallery)

After scrolling for a while, Frisk shows the picture to them.

The picture was taken in Shinjuku Park. In the picture, Hana is chasing Semo around with murder clear in his eyes, while Akame and Takato are laughing to a joke Remy had made while eating a sandwich. Doun is chatting with Takehiro, Akame's dad, GARGAMEL, and Tok Aba. Nearby, Airi, Makoto, Duri and Cha Dongtak are discussing something. 

Someone else is also in the photo, but only a white star on their left shoulder can be seen. Mountaineering frowns a bit seeing the white star, feeling that it felt familiar, but then her eyes focus on Gargamel, which causes them to bulge. 

Mountaineering: (shocked) Wait, hold up! Why is GARGAMEL from the Smurfs there in the photo?!

Frisk: (blinks) You don't know? 

Mountaineering: Know what? 

Frisk: Ah, so you DON'T know. (sweat drops) Sorry. I thought the non-fictional world already knew. 

Mountaineering: It's okay. Now what truth? (eager)

Frisk: Aha... So basically, Gargamel disguised himself as a woman to try to make a dark heir out of Akame. But he failed, and we reformed him. That's how he's ended up being so happy in that picture. (smiles) 

Frisk is right. Gargamel DOES look happier, what with the sincere smile on his face, the lack of evilness on it, and the black shirt, dark blue trousers and light grey shoes. 

Akinori: Impressive how you managed to make him smile like that! 

Frisk: (modest) Oh it's nothing. We don't do much honestly. We just choose to believe in them and stuff. In the end, it's all their choice. 

Akinori: (blinks) We? 

Frisk: (shrugs) The SRS.

Crick crick. Crick crick.

Akinori, Mountaineering: Wait WHAT?! 

Mountaineering: The Supernatural Rescue Squad?! 

Frisk: Yep! (nods) Why? Shocked? 

Akinori: Shocked? More like in disbelief! I can't believe you're part of the SRS! 

Mountaineering: Do you have ANY idea about the respect all of us mythical creatures have for your group?! 

Frisk: (shrugs) We're just people who want to help others.

Akinori: Woah... 

Mountaineering: Amazing! 

Frisk: It's not much-

Naandenaan: Frisk, naandenaan! 

Out of nowhere, Naandenaan appears and crashes into Akinori.

Akinori: (winces) G-Gah... 

Frisk: (shocked) Naandenaan!

Mountaineering: (recognises the Youkai, eyes widen as she slowly looks at Frisk) Y-You know of Youkai?...

The scene is cut off at that moment, with Frisk looking away from them while Akinori stares in shock... While rubbing his head in pain.  

(The music starts playing as Natsume Amano turns into Shuka's awakened form, then Akino Kin opens up the game system as Ryaku Mizuya opens up his Magical Gates and Young Aruke Kin activates the Nature power.)

Episode 17: Monster Havoc

The scene is silent. No one wants to speak, fearing that the tense atmosphere would only grow darker with another word. 

Akinori is looking at Frisk, disbelief evidently present in his black eyes, while Mountaineering stares as Frisk, as if she never thought of the possibility that Frisk knew about Youkai. 

Said Monster Ambassador is looking away from them, trying to not look at them as a sign that what Mountaineering had said was true. Naandenaan looks VERY guilty, which makes sense, since she had spilled on them. 

 Luckily, Frisk decides to break the ice. 

Frisk: Y-Yeah... I know of Youkai... I've known of them for a long time... 

Mountaineering: (eyes widen) No way! That's so cool! (eyes sparkle)

Frisk: It's nothing much, to be honest. (sheepishly rubs their head) I just help Youkai when I can. 

Mountaineering: That's amazing!

Akinori: (nods) Agreed!

Frisk: (REALLY modest) It's really nothing. It's just second nature to me. 

Mountaineering: (eyes go sparkly again) Just like Takato and Boboiboy! (grins) You're the chivalrous type!

Frisk: (blushes a bit) N-No I'm not! Please stop complimenting me!

Akinori: (sweat drops, then realises something) Hey, Frisk-san. 

Frisk: Y-Yeah? 

Akinori: You being a Youkai Acknowledger... Did it have anything to do with how you ended up falling down Mount Ebott? 

Frisk: (blinks) Y-Yeah.... How did you know? 

Akinori: (shrugs) Lucky guess I suppose. 

Frisk: However lucky, you're right... I went to Mount Ebott on purpose...

Mountaineering: (jaws drop) Wait what?! 

Akinori: Why?! 

Frisk: I know how dangerous it would be. But at the same time, I found it to be really strange that they would just go to die like that. That's why I decided to go look into it. I promised myself that I would find the truth behind this, no matter what, for the sake of those people who disappeared.

Mountaineering: That's amazing! That proves how much you care for others! (smiles) You're my role model Frisk!

Frisk goes red in the face, while Naandenaan just smiles at them. 

Frisk: A-Anyway... I also discovered a mythical species while there...

The two freeze up before they lean in to Frisk again, interest now dancing in their eyes. 

Akinori: Another mythical species? 

Mountaineering: And here I thought that CGs and Youkai were the only ones around.... 

Frisk: That's kind of ridiculous. There are many kinds of animals around, so why can't mythical creatures be like that?

Mountaineering: A-Ah... (smiles sheepishly) You're right. Sorry about that. 

Frisk: (waves it off) It's natural to assume that, since you guys were raised without awareness towards the other mythical species, so don't worry. 

Mountaineering: (smiles) Thanks!

Frisk: (smiles back) It's fine. Anyway, I can introduce you to that species, if you want. 

Akinori: (enthusiastic) Sounds great! Let's go!

Frisk, Mountaineering: OH! 

With that, the 4 of them set off for the hole, which now has a ladder heading down. 

Frisk: The ladder can help us get down to the beginning of the Underground. 

Akinori: Woah... Was this built after making peace with monsters?

Frisk: Yep! (smiles)

Naandenaan: They built it in honour of Frisk's bravery, naandenaan.

Mountaineering: Bravery? I would describe Frisk as a determined person more, to be honest. 

Frisk: (laughs a bit) True. Determination is me in a nutshell. The only positive thing about me was turned into something new that saved all monsters and freed them from the Underground.

Akinori: The only positive thing? (confused)

Frisk: (nods) I was quite lonely as a child. My parents barely had time for me, which was thankfully filled in by Naandenaan. She directed me to spend my time on helping Youkai.

Mountaineering: I can relate.

Akinori: So can I... My sister went into a coma when I was 7, leaving me to be alone for 6 years. No one in school wanted to associate themselves with the "whistle blower who caused his sister's coma".... (shrugs) My friends eventually found out and gave them a HUGE talking-to, even though it wasn't necessary. But it DID help them warm up to me. (smiles) I'm glad that they're my friends.

Hearing that, Mountaineering's eyes widen.

Mountaineering: (thinks: Wait... That description.... I-It fits Nade's brother... What was his name again?... Arikori?...) (freezes) S-Say, we haven't introduced ourselves, have we?

At that, Akinori blinks, before he facepalms.

Akinori: (embarrassed and sheepish) Ahaha.... Sorry for forgetting... I was too engrossed with the possibility of a new mythical species. 

Mountaineering: Same here...

Frisk: (waves it off) It's fine. You guys are the excitable types, from what I can see so far.

The two go red in the face hearing that observation from the Monster Ambassador, causing them to laugh softly.

Naandenaan: But anyway, I'm Naandenaan!

Frisk: As you guys probably already know, I'm Frisk. 

Mountaineering: I'm the CG Mountaineering! You can call me Mountain, though. Most people would say that Mountaineering is a mouthful to say. 

Akinori: And I'm Arihoshi Akinori! Nice to meet you-

Mountaineering's eyes are now wide in shock as she backs away slightly.

Mountaineering: Y-You really are him.... 

Akinori: H-Huh? (looks confused) Do you know me? 

Mountaineering: My best friend knows you...

Akinori: Your best friend?.... 

Mountaineering: A-Arihoshi Tenade.... 

At that, Akinori's eyes widen, and he goes silent, stopping the descent as he looks down at his feet, unable to move after hearing that. 

Frisk notices, which makes them stop moving as they turn to look at Akinori.

Frisk: (concerned) You okay? 

Akinori: I-I....

Mountaineering: A-Akinori?...

Akinori: (depressed) You probably hate me, Mountaineering-san. 

Mountaineering: E-Eh?! (stares at Akinori in confusion) Why would I hate you? 

Akinori: B-Because I sold Neesan out.....

Mountaineering: O-Oh... (thinks: So he has leftover guilt.... Huh.... He's just like Nade...) (sighs softly, hops on top of Frisk's head) Akinori-kun, she doesn't feel that way. If anything, she feels angry at herself, not at you. 

Akinori: H-Huh? (looks up at her)

Mountaineering: She used to beat herself up, saying that she should have been strong enough to beat the necklace. She would say that you did the right thing. If anything, (smiles) she could never hate you, no matter what. She loved you very much, Akinori-kun. 

Akinori: (eyes widen) R-Really?

Mountaineering: (nods with a smile) Really. I know it as her best friend. She loved- no, loves- you. She would forever love you no matter how much you hated her. 

Akinori: ...... (sniffs) T-Thank you.... (slowly leans to Frisk's shoulders) 

Mountaineering is confused at first over the sudden action, but soon she hears some soft sobs coming from the shaman-in-training. Mountaineering's eyes widen in understanding, before they soften and pat Akinori's head.

Mountaineering: It's okay, it's okay.

Akinori: (wipes his tears happily) T-Thanks... 

Mountaineering: Really, it's fine. (grins) I'm just being honest. 

Akinori: (smiles back) So... How's my sister? 

Mountaineering: She's fine! 

Mountaineering proceeds to ramble about her adventures with Tenade, moving to sit on Akinori's shoulder before they continue to descend down the hole. 

They eventually arrive at the bottom, where a white monster is tending to the sunflowers planted on the ground. 

Frisk: Oh, Asriel!

The white monster looks up from his watering, and smiles.

Asriel: Frisk! (smiles) It's been a while! How have you been?

Frisk: I could say the same about you. (grins) How goes the sunflowers? Are they still as soft as I remember? 

Asriel: Yep! I gave some to Chara and Dad! They said that they smelled great! 

Frisk: I'll check then! (leans in to the flowers, sniffs them) Woah! They're really great!  

Asriel: (smiles) Thanks! (then notices the duo) E-Eh? Who's that? 

Akinori: I'm Arihoshi Akinori!

Mountaineering: And I'm Mountaineering! 

Asriel: Nice to meet ya! I'm Asriel, or Flowey to most people. 

Mountaineering: Nice to meet you too!

Just then, a voice calls out. 

Asgore: Asriel, is there something wrong? 

Asriel: Oh, Dad! Frisk brought 2 new friends! 

Asgore: Did they now? (chuckles) Very well. Allow me to make some tea for them before I come join you. 

Asriel: Great! 

Frisk: We'll wait out here, Mister. 

Asgore: Great to know, Frisk. I can't wait to meet them. 

Frisk: (grins) You'll love them. 

Asgore: (chuckles) I'm sure I will. 

Akinori and Mountaineering can only watch the interaction, wisely choosing to stay silent throughout this new conversation.

Well, not in Asriel's eyes, because the moment Asgore's footsteps can no longer be heard, he turns to them, curiosity clear in his eyes.

Asriel: What's with the silence from you two? I thought that the two of you were the lively types.

Frisk: (sweatdrops) You mean, the easily excitable types, Asriel.

Asriel: Eh? What are you talking about, Frisk? Isn't it obvious that they're like the sun?

If anyone put some real thought into it, that's a true statement. Akinori and Mountaineering share a trait, which is their optimism and chivalry despite the hardships that they endured. For Mountaineering, it was the pain of losing her parents in the First CG War, while Akinori's was losing Tenade to the necklace and the guilt of being the one who did her in.

Asriel's analogy fits them well, especially seeing how Mountaineering can give energy to her friends, and how Akinori is always fired up to solve a case, which spreads to his friends as well.

Frisk: Hm... I suppose you're right!

Asriel: I know I'm right! They give off this warm aura that just makes me smile!

Mountaineering: (blushes) R-Really?

Akinori: W-We didn't do anything special, to be honest...

Asriel: It's fine! That's what makes you two super cute!

Hearing that, the two begin sputtering, faces officially red.

But as Mountaineering turns to look at Akinori, she is shocked to see an Oni-like face looking back at her.

Mountaineering: A-AH! (backs away, tumbles off Akinori's shoulder onto Asriel's head) W-Who are you?!

Akinori: E-Eh? (looks confused) Mountaineering-san, it's me. 

Mountaineering: (blinks, it goes back to Akinori) A-Ah... Sorry for that... I just thought that I saw someone else...

Akinori: Someone ... else?

Mountaineering: (nods) Yeah.... Looked like an Oni... 

Akinori: O-Oni?... (eyes widen, thinks: C-Could it be... Hakushu?....)

Mountaineering: (notices) You okay? You look like you recognise the person.... 

Akinori: M-Ma... I guess you can say that..... I've only seen him a few times... 

Mountaineering: (blinks) E-Eh? Who is it?... 

Akinori: W-Well... He's my incarnation.... Hakushu... 

Mountaineering: H-Hakushu... (thinks: I-I see....)

Asgore: Tea is here! (footsteps are heard getting closer to them)

But who greets them doesn't look like Asgore at all. 

No, this one looks like a walking plant with some green leaves acting as leaves. 

Asgore?: Welcome to our humble-

Akinori: AHHHH! IT'S A TALKING PLANT! (jerks away, shock in his eyes)

Mountaineering: (does the same, falling off Asriel and landing on Akinori's belly)

 Asgore?: How rude. This is merely my Plant Demon form, also known as Mister Shepard. 

The two blink.

Akinori: Plant... Demon? 

Asriel: Yep! (smiles) I'm also a Plant Demon, like Dad. We're the Souls of plants who were blessed by Lady Hecate herself. 

Mountaineering: (eyes widen) Hecate-sama?! You were blessed by HER?! 

Mr. Shepard: Indeed we were. 

Mountaineering: (eyes go sparkly again) SO COOL!

Akinori: Agreed! 

Mr. Shepard: Lucky us, we suppose. Anyway, it's a pleasure to meet you, Akinori, Mountaineering. (smiles)

Akinori, Mountaineering: Likewise!

Mr. Shepard:  (smiles) But we were lucky enough to meet Leader too!

Asriel: (nods with a smile) After all, Leader could help separate me from Cha-

He is interrupted by a BOOM! as a green attack hits them, sending them back flying. 

Akinori: (winces) A-Argh.. 

Mountaineering: (rubs her head) I-It hurts... 

Frisk: Who's there?! 

?: Don't you recognise me, Frisk?

Asriel: (eyes widen in shock) Y-You're...! 

?: (chuckles darkly)

Someone drops down from the hole, landing right in front of them before looking up, revealing... 

Frisk: (stunned) J-Jianliang....

Yep, it's Li Jianliang from Digimon Tamers.

Well, LOOKS like Jianliang, to be honest.

This Jianliang, though, is wearing an Enma tribe uniform, with a brief similarity towards Sun Wukong. Green and red mix together on his crown, which sat snugly on his head. Plus, there's this dark aura surrounding him that just doesn't fit Jianliang.

Jianliang?: Hey, Frisk~ (smiles maliciously) How are you?

Frisk: J-Jianliang! What's going on?!

Jianliang?: Oh nothing much~ Just came here to exterminate some pests~ (eyes land on Akinori and Mountaineering, eyes widen with a dark smile)

Mountaineering: Pests? (eyes narrow) To what exactly?

Jianliang?: (shrugs) Who knows~ I'm not telling you~

Asriel: Snap out of it, Jian! This isn't you!

Mr. Shepard: Agreed! What would Leader say?!

Jianliang?: Eeh~ Like I care~ Leader's too busy for us~ That's why he went MIA~

Frisk: You should know better than that Jian! You're his brother, after all!

Akinori: Wait what?!

Jianliang?: Meh~ Like I care~ Anyway~ Stop distracting me from my aim here~~ (eyes glow red before he lunges for Akinori and Mountaineering, a sword in his hand)

Frisk: As if that's happening on my watch! (blocks Jianliang's attack with a sword)

Mountaineering: F-Frisk! (eyes widen in shock)

Asriel: (steps forward, turns into his Adult form) Stay back you guys!

Mr. Shepard: We'll take care of him! (gets his leaves ready)

Jianliang?: Whatever~ (uses his feet to sweep Frisk off their feet, then kicks them to a wall)

Frisk: (grunts) A-Ah...

Akinori: Frisk-san! (rushes over to them) Are you okay?!

Frisk: Y-Yeah... (tries to get up, but winces in pain) A-Argh...

Akinori: Stay down! I'll heal you! (hands glow green, Frisk's wounds start healing, but not fast enough)

Jianliang?: (grins, lunges for Akinori)

Asriel: Not so fast! (shoots out vines that block Jianliang?)

Jianliang?: Tch! (turns to Asriel) Looks like I'll have to deal with you Plant Demons first huh?

Mr. Shepard: (determined) You're not going to touch them! (rushes at Jianliang?)

Asriel: OH! (does the same)

Jianliang?: Hmph! Time to show you the true power of an Enma! (summons a black sphere, lobs it at the duo)

The two get caught up in the blast, sending them flying to a wall too.

Asriel: U-Urgh... (reverts back to his Child form)

Mr. Shepard: My head hurts...

Jianliang?: Serves you right. Now.... Time to deal with the nuisances. (turns to Akinori, slowly walks to him)

Akinori: (is still healing Frisk, notices, thinks: I have to finish healing them! But my magic's not enough...)

Mountaineering: Not so fast! (turns into her human form and charges at Jianliang?) 

Jianliang?: (blocks her attack) Foolish idea. Did you really think that I would be that prone to surprise attacks? (lunges for her)

Mountaineering: (blocks, thinks: I just need to buy time..... I just have to buy time for Akinori to heal Frisk....)

Jianliang?: (grins darkly as he summons multiple dark spheres and lobs them at Mountaineering)

The spheres miss Mountaineering as she dodges them. However, Jianliang's dark grin remains. It confuses Mountaineering. 

Suddenly, the dark spheres turn into fire spheres that surround her, effectively trapping her there. 

Mountaineering: (growls, reverts back to her CG form, but the fire spheres burn her, she hisses in pain)

Akinori: M-Mountaineering-san! 

Jianliang?: I'll deal with you later. For now... (slowly turns Akinori's way, evilly smirks) Time to end the worse nuisance. 

Frisk: (eyes widen) L-Let me be, Akinori! H-He's coming for you! 

Akinori: What?! 

Jianliang?: It's too late! (lunges for Akinori) 

Time slows down for Akinori as Jianliang? gets closer. 

But out of nowhere, an orange aura separates from him and lunges for Jianliang?. 

Jianliang?: H-Huh?! (eyes widen)

The orange aura hits Jianliang? and sends him back flying, dispelling the fire spheres around Mountaineering. 

Mountaineering: Yes! 

Jianliang?: (hisses in pain) A-Agh....

Frisk: W-What the...? (shocked)

Mr. Shepard: W-Who....? 

Akinori: (thinks: H-Hakushu?....) 

Mountaineering: Akinori! Now's your chance to finish healing Frisk!

Akinori: (snaps out of it) G-Got it! (quickly finishes the job) H-How do you feel, Frisk? 

Frisk: I feel much better now... Thanks, Akinori! 

Akinori: (smiles slightly) No problem! 

Jianliang?: (growls) You're not going to win!

Frisk: Don't think of yourself so highly! 

Asriel: A-Ah! (slowly gets up again, helps Mr. Shepard up)

Mr. Shepard: It's time for our counterattacks guys! 

Frisk: (nods) 가자 (gaja! = Let's go! {Korean}) 

All: OH! 

Mountaineering: Magical Gates Open! (her eyes glow black before a dark blue aura surrounds her) Nature Attack! (earth spheres appear, she lobs them at Jianliang?)

Akinori: (draws a pentagram, catches it) Take this! (throws it at Jianliang?) 

Asriel: Dream Game! (forms a light pink attack, kicks it too Jianliang?)

Mr. Shepard: Branch Whip! (his leaves extend and cut themselves off before they turn into an attack as it soars towards Jianliang?)

Frisk: (a tail grows from behind Frisk and goes behind the other attacks and crash into them, making them stronger as they aim them towards Jianliang?)

Jianliang?: G-Gah! (backs away)

However, the attacks hit him, and send him to the wall, finally dispelling him as his body dissolves into a dark blue mist that disappears. 

The rest look at one another before it finally sits in.

Frisk: WE DID IT! (excited) 

Asriel: Yes!

Mr. Shepard: All in a day's work! (smiles) 

Akinori: Yeah!

Mountaineering: (grins) That was awesome!

Frisk: (laughs) Agreed.

Asriel: (grins, but soon gets serious) Anyway, I think you should go home now.

Surprised by his sudden change in tone, the two turn to him.

Akinori: H-Huh?

Mountaineering: Why?

Asriel: That proved that the multiverse is destabilising.....

Their eyes widen, before they look at each other.

Just like how Akino, Rau, Choiseung, and Chenhua had bonded with Ayame, a silent conversation occurs between the two before they turn back to the trio.

Akinori: We're heading back then. (serious)

Mr Shepard: Very well. (quickly uses his magic to open a portal)

A purple portal opens up, and the two turn to the rest with a smile before they wave goodbye at the trio.

Seeing this, Frisk, Asriel and Mr Shepard do the same l.

After that, the two turn back and run through the portal, with it closing behind them.

Ayame: Please!

???????: We must keep London safe!

Lizzy: Let's do this!

????: Be careful!

Lizzy, Ayame: Next time, on Universal Collision!
