SEVERAL WEEKS have already passed since the last time that Glyde meet up with Hershey. It's already been several days since the last time they've talked.

It's not like they argued, but it was just Glyde became more busy after getting another opportunity for promotion.

If Jaycee wasn't there to remind Glyde about how he was acting, he would've failed to notice it as well.

"So, how is it going with you and Hershey?" Jaycee asked during their phone call.

Glyde smiled as he just heard his lady's name. "We are good, although, it is indeed been a while since I've last seen her or have talked to her"

"What?!" Jaycee shouted which made Glyde to pull the phone away from his ear. "What do you mean good when the both of you don't even have any communication?!" she yelled.

Glyde blinked.

"Gosh, Glyde! You and Hershey are almost together for 2 years now! Yet, the both of you still do this? Both of you are so weird when it comes to relationships! I can't believe you could handle not seeing her nor hearing her voice! And I can't believe that she is fine with this kind of set up! Tell me, Glyde, are you even serious about her? Are you really just gonna let this kind of things happen everytime?"

Glyde was left speechless after what Jaycee said. Hearing it now, it does seem he did something incredibly wrong. He haven't paid any attention to Hershey these past few weeks. Even though this was common for the both of them, this should not be the norm. He knew that he should do something about it as what Jaycee have said.

"When was the last time you talked to her, huh?" Jaycee continued to ask.

Glyde bit his lower lip as guilt filled deep inside of him. "February. During my birthday," he said in an awfully low voice.

"Seriously?! And you didn't even got worried when she didn't gave other words after that day? You didn't even doubted her, when you just suddenly couldn't contact her?" Glyde was aware that Jaycee was worried for him and Hershey and at the same she was mad for their actions. It was indeed not something two partners would normally do.

"I'm sorry. It's just... After that day, I got too occupied with too much work... It's not like I completely forgotten about her, but  just thought this was one of her another episodes where she would suddenly disappear from me."

"And what? One day she'll just return again?"

Glyde didn't answer as Jaycee completely read him.

"What if that's not the case, Glyde? Grow up, man! Is this really how you want your relationship to proceed? I know you could make time for her if you wanted to. Why are you not trying?"

Glyde lowered his head. "I'm sorry,"

Jaycee sighed. "Quickly go to her now and see how she's doing. You never know, she might be already mad at you for not contacting her"

"Yes. Thank you for waking me up, Jaycee" Glyde said before he ended the call.

His colleagues were confused why Glyde just suddenly left the office and took an early leave. However, some concluded that it's probably have something to do with his girlfriend. They knew that Glyde would only act that way when it comes to Hershey.

After all there were a lot of times when Hershey would just suddenly ask for Glyde's presence, and Glyde would willingly drop any agendas he had for that day just to go to where Hershey was. Even if he have an important meeting, just one call from Hershey and if she demands it, he wouldn't even hesitate.

What Glyde lacks is the initiative to contact Hershey when she just suddenly disappear once in a while. Glyde thought of this as giving her some space, or Hershey giving him some space. It was like an unwritten rule from the both of them, yet they don't know when it started and why they should've even followed it.

When Glyde arrived at Hershey's house, he saw her falling from the stairs.

"Shey!" panicked and worried was written all over his face. He immediately went towards her to help her get up. He even carried her to the couch. He noticed how incredibly light she was. Was she eating properly?

"I missed you," Hershey whispered as she embraces his neck.

Glyde gave her an apologetic look, "I'm sorry. I only came to visit you today."

He should've went to see her earlier, that way he could've taken good care of her better. He was well aware how Hershey missed him that much, yet she was not giving any tantrums at him. She forgave him that easily and just asked for a kiss.

When their lips parted, Glyde knew she wanted something more. He does as well. He missed her so bad that he couldn't believe that he was able to contain himself from not seeing her!

"You're sick. Let's make you get well first." Glyde said as he also reminded himself that they should not do anything further that might worsen her condition.

Hershey made him to tell some stories, so he did. However, in the middle of it, she cuts him off and said : "Let's be together."

He was confused by what she meant, "We are together."

"Marry me." Hershey said while staring directly in his eyes, which made Glyde to be stunned by what he have just heard.

So many things suddenly went through Glyde's mind. He doesn't know how to answer Hershey. He didn't expect that she would suddenly ask him of this.

It's not like Glyde doesn't want to. He did say that he would give anything that Hershey wants and needs. It's just that, Glyde thinks it's too early for that.

He don't think he is well-ready to marry her yet. He thinks that the current assets he have won't be able to satisfy what they'll be needing as a family.

That's why when Hershey suddenly asked him that, Glyde wasn't able to think how to answer her properly and was only able to say, "I'm sorry"
