17 # Unspoken

Hi All

A very little part. I had plans to update over the weekend but something has come up. I will not be able to . Hence I am posting it now as I didn't want to prolong the wait and  this is what I managed to type. Please ignore errors and typos.

Thanks for all loving words left in the last chapter.  Happy Reading. Do let me know your thoughts.

Oh! How badly I have fallen into his trap.

It's not my fault! He talked me into this.

You are stupid Swara. Admit! You can't resist him.

For the next few hours, Swara sulked like a petulant child much to the amusement of Sanskaar who was at receiving end of her glares everytime he stepped out to catch a glimpse of her with one or other excuse.

Ok! So He is in serious trouble. Madam is really angry. Would a sorry do? He wouldn't have minded at all, but he no way felt the same. He was not sorry...and he knew she was not as well. Her sour mood was because he outsmarted her.

In a bid to calm her down, he dropped a message with cute emoji and was gifted with red fuming and smoke out of ears ones. Sanskaar laughed out. How about some hugs and kisses XOXO. He would have loved to fill her inbox with dozens and dozens of them but alas....he can't afford more fumes. Time to cool her down.

----------------------

Swara was thankful, a session for interns, kept her feelings at bay and turned her mood around. She had lunch with a bunch of interns post session. Feeling cheerful, She walked back and waiting for her a little pack on the table. With curiosity shining through her eyes, Swara grabbed it.

A choco lava cake! Swara already had her taste buds tingling at sight of it. A freshly baked cake with luscious gooey middle oozing with chocolate. Yummy! Her eyes fell on a note below it which read

A treat from my side

S

Oh! So he thinks he will buy her a chocolate cake and she will melt like lava. He got it wrong. She is no kid to fall for a chocolate though its tempting but no! Swara determined and placed it back on the table and the note too. She's not gonna focus on the cake but on her project. Yes!

Just then she saw Rosy walking in.

"Hey! Didn't you have your cake? Well...It's treat from Sir for the whole department. Looks like he is in a generous and good mood.So sweet of him right!." She remarked smiling.

Oh! That's a news. Swara felt a prick of disappointment. It's not exclusively for her but a part and parcel of the whole group. What did she think? He will come around to pacify her. Such an idiot you are! Swara shook her head. But on a brighter side, she can have the cake. Well, it's for everyone so...

Not a bad idea! Swara smiled and reached for her cake.

"And the note ?" She asked

"What Note?" Rosy's question made it clear no one received a note. Feeling much brighter, Swara nodded no and quietly slipped the note inside her bag. 'It's for her'. The feeling was warm as cake.

Sanskaar smiled watching her. He wouldn't mind feeding the whole office just to make her have her favorite chocolate cake and he had more sweet surprises planned. He buzzed the intercom.

Rosy...

-------------------

Swara stepped into the cabin putting a poker face on. By now her heart was rather prepared for his looks and smiles, she wished. He looked absolutely serious and 'I am all business' mode as they discussed titbits of the project since they are in last week.

At the mention of same, for few moments, Swara and Sanskaar fell silent. Just a week, Sanskaar's heart dipped. The idea of not having her around felt terrible, the prospect itself. Swara didn't register it first lost in her sour mood but now ...last few days and she would never see him again.

Never again? No way!. He will figure out a way to be around her even if this internship stint ends. He has no idea of letting her go. Sanskaar determined. That made him feel better. Bracing himself into a good mood, he diverted the topic.

"Did you like the treat?" He asked with a small smile.

Swara nodded.

"I have one more for you." His smile widened.

One more! Swara tried to downplay her excitement, though her eyes gave her away. When was the last time someone made her feel special? First the note, then this. Her eyes fixed on the little box he pushed towards her. Swara tried her best not to grab it for she recognized it at once... Icecream

"Yes! "He said just like he read her. that's my fav ..I assumed you might like it too. It's Death by chocolate."

Death by chocolate. That's the most blissful ice cream she ever tasted, her all-time favorite. Vanilla ice cream and chocolate cake topped with cream, honey, chocolate sauce, peanuts, and cherries. It's just...

"Did you have ?' Swara asked hesitantly out of courtesy.

"No! My pants were on fire. I was busy putting them off." Sanskaar replied with a teasing smile and that had Swara pouting as well a re-run of morning kiss fiasco.

"No thank you. I think a cake should do ." Swara pushed back the ice cream. He should know she is not yet over and how dare he tease her with her own words.

Ah! As expected. "Are you sure you don't want to, Swara?" Sanskaar posed a question opening the box "Wow! Just look at this nuts ..chocolate chips and on this a nice dose of hot fudge ...I just can't wait to taste.." Sanskaar ignored murderous glares coming his way. All set to tempt her

Swara looked murderous. Look at him. Hogging the ice cream with no shame and did he need to make those hmm yum sounds. Kanjoos .....Well wasn't this for her as he mentioned. So he's literally gobbling up her ice cream.

"That's mine," Swara grabbed the box back leaving Sanskaar with a spoon of ice cream which he licked smiling wider. The ploy worked.

"Haww, "Swara exclaimed looking in the half-empty tub she threw him a mock glare, picked an extra spoon and dug into ice cream and as it melted in her mouth, she was in some other world ...She instantly relaxed, her breath now calm and slow as the chocolate melted into her mouth, Swara sighed contentedly closing her eyes, grinning like a Cheshire cat.

This is just ...

Bliss ...watching her. Did she always have this magic around her which would throw one out of senses and leaves with a lovely feeling of being lost? How could someone cast a spell effortlessly just by listening to some song and munching on an ice cream? Oh ! Swara Bose could with no doubts. A smile, A bat of eyelids...She definitely could.

One moment when she licked her lips, Sanskasr had to curb every urge to have a bite of her. Badly. He could imagine just walking up to her, claiming those chocolate dripped lips ...and show her the real bliss. Before Sanskaar could lose himself totally, Swara opened her eyes ...gave him a cute smile which instantly calmed all his inflated senses, all he could feel was sheer love, not heated desire.

She could turn him insane with not a word said. She evoked such raw primal desires at one moment and this tender feeling at other. What is she? A sweet torture indeed. All his.

Then he noticed how Swara was stuffing herself with no gap.

"Baby, Zara aaram se.."

Swara smiled with a spoonful in her mouth first ..then as the words played in slow motion. Baby? Did he just call her

"Baby?" Swara tried to confirm and his nod irked her further." I am not a baby. Don't call me that," Swara cried in protest.

"Of course you are, The way you have chocolate smeared all over your face. You definitely look like one." Sanskaar pointed back. "But since you look uncomfortable I will never call you again that way." He replied earnestly.

Swara watched him for a minute in awe. Is this guy for real? He sensed her discomfort in a minute and was willing to take a no from her. She fell little more for him at that moment. Only if they were together ..she wouldn't mind getting called by that nickname for hundred times. But with a week to go, she can't really afford those satin dreams of being cuddled up to him, as he would stroke her hair softly and lovingly call her baby....

"Did you save some for me?" His words diverted her. Swara silently pushed back it to him. Sanskaar peeked into the tub only to find a spoonful. " Did some tell you, Miss Bose, that sharing is caring. There's no cream or ice. That's very bad of you."

Swara gave a guilty look but little smile peeking on his lips hinted he was just playing around.

"I think I should go. Thank you for such a sweet treat." She said in a low tone.

Sanskaar smiled softly in reply but he didn't exactly like the formal way the discussion was going on. She is going back to being closed again. Didn't she look like a little firebrand in the morning? Didn't he love that shade of her? What would take to bring her walls down and make her fight back? He seriously needs to figure out with a week to go.

He silently forwarded tissue box, tangled in his thoughts, his eyes on hers. Swara nodded, picked few and wiped the chocolate off her face. A buzz on the intercom. A reminder for a meeting.

"I will be out in 5 minutes ..get the team in." He replied switching to the formal mode. Swara took the cue. Time to get out. Sanskaar picked his laptop and as Swara gathered her book and notes. As he came around...he noticed a little speck on her cheek.

"You have some left over here "He pointed and as Swara tried to figure out. Sanskaar sighed.

"Don't bother." In an instinctive movement, He leaned forward and his lips flicked it off in a swift move. Swara froze first, He did too. What the hell... He just didn't. Did he? When was last time he acted this disoriented and lost control over own actions? And she was not making it any easy. Her warm breath on his face against his heated one, her widened eyes gazing into his and that small shaky gasp, he wanted her with an ache he couldn't explain.

Swara was the first one to step back holding her breath. Everything felt hazy and all he did was to just move dangerously close and not even a proper kiss, but her body was all on fire. One more minute with him, she was not sure if she can take it. This unyielding forbidden need he managed to stir in her.

Everything fell back into silence as they stood few feet away either of them refusing to move. The air in the cabin crackled with shimmering heat as they gazed at each other...their eyes speaking ... yet a lot left unspoken.
