Shadows lingered
with every step I took
only when did the sun
shine that the shadows
vanished from light
though I missed them
their comfort I got

was only at night
when the moon shined its
light that I enjoyed
the shadows
like a friend being united
with his long, lost best friend

Looks I got
but I could careless
I had the shadows
I had my friends
