The next morning the two were on their way out as soon as they both woke up and got ready, Kayce walked into the office to return the room key. She smiled at the guy behind the desk "hi there, my friend checked us in last night just checking out." he nodded at her as she slide the keys back to him before she made eye contact "you are gonna give me your car keys and once I walk out the door you are going to forget that my friend and I were ever here."

He repeated what he said back in a monotone voice and then handed the original his car keys and once they were in hand she walked out of the office with a smirk on her face. She clicked the unlock button on the keys to identify which car they were for "got us a ride," she walked over to the car and got in the driver's side "get in, I know exactly where we can go." He nodded and got into the car and Kayce pulled out of the parking lot once he was in.

It was quiet between them as Kayce drove, "where are we going?"

"New Orleans it's where my family is currently... there is no safer place that I can think of than to be surrounded by my family, with the way people fear us no one would think twice to look there."

"Okay."

She glanced over at him"Once we are safe in the compound then we can work on your memories."

There was a comfortable since between them once again.

Six hours and a couple of stops later they made it to the outer limits of the French Quater and Kayce parked the car "it's better if we walk from here." Bucky nodded and followed her lead getting out of the car, she joined his side and grabbed his arm and, looping hers through it she felt him stiffen "it's okay just act natural so we don't draw unnecessary attention just until we get inside the Abbatoir." he relaxed a little after that and Kayce plastered a smile on her face as she leads him through the Quater.

Once they made it to their destination Kayce pulled a knife that she had stolen and cut her palm placing her still bleeding hand on the entrance she put up a quick barrier spell as an extra precaution. "what was that?"

"I just put up a barrier spell for extra measure my blood was added to it so that anyone my family knows can get through to enter or leave but no one else can unless they're invited in by someone that shares blood with me."

"Smart."

Kayce gave him a look "I'm not taking chances here, after the blood bath that we (mainly me) left behind they will call in anyone they can spare to find us so the barrier keeps anyone that we don't know out."

The walk through the compound Elijah notices his sister first "Kayce?" which catches Klaus, Kol (who is still in Kaleb's body because in this fic Finn didn't hex him), and Rebekah's attention.

She gave him a little three-finger wave "Hi, Lijah."

The remaining eldest Original gave her a look "Where have you been it's been months since anybody has heard from you."

"You look terrible Kayce."

She gave them a look "it's a long story, and thanks Bex that is just what I wanted to hear right now."

Kol looked at his twin she couldn't feel their twin bond since he wasn't in his original body "you look exhausted too Kace."

Her attention turned to the unfamiliar voice "well what can I say it's been a rough few months apparently... who are you exactly?" Bucky is standing behind her his eyes scanning the room as if assessing for a threat and it doesn't go unnoticed by Klaus and Elijah, while Rebekah was looking at Kayce.

Kol just smirked at her "Damn K that stings a little..."

Her eyes widened slightly Kol is the only one that calls her K everyone else calls her Kace. Her eyes tear up slightly as she stares at him "oh my god... what? how?"

Klaus noticed the tears and of course had to comment on it "well that's different last I saw you... you had turned it off." Kol got up and hugged her making Kayce bury her head in his chest as she couldn't stop the tears that fell down her face seeing that her twin was alive.

She saw Klaus over Kol's shoulder as she kept hugging him "a lot has happened since then Nik and like I said it's a long story."

After the twins pulled away from the hug Kayce noticed the looks on Elijah's face as he was looking behind her. She turned around to look at Bucky and noticed him glancing around and she knew what he was doing so she laid a hand on his arm making him look at her "it's okay... there's no threat."

Bucky nodded at her "right safe place... sometimes my training kicks in and I do stuff like that without realizing it."

She turned to her siblings "I will explain everything later, promise but first I promised I would help him" She pointed at Bucky "with something and then I'm gonna take a hot bath and after that, I will explain what happened so I am going to my room now."

She grabbed Buckys arm again and led him out of the living room area towards her bedroom. "We will do this a little at a time so it's not overwhelming for you."

He nodded to hee "what do you need me to do?"

Kayce smiled at him "all I need you to do is relax a little bit this is a lot easier if you're relaxed because your mind is calmer."

She got everything she needed together and got started with her spell she stood behind him placing her hands on either side of his head and she started the spell.

Kol had decided to go and see what he could get out of her only to find his sister mid spell standing behind the man that had come in with her that she didn't even introduce before disappearing with him into another room.

He knew better than to disturb Kayce when she was doing a spell so he just sat on her bed waiting for her to finish so he could get some answers out of his twin sister

So this is season 2 of TO but more going by my own plot and stuff so this is after the whole Dahlia thing and Kayce will meet Freya, Hayley, and Hope as well as her telling the basics of what happened to her in the next chapter (:
