Everything happens so quickly.
They haven't had a wedding yet, but they both agree to marry each other and suddenly everything is on blast.
From picking out rings, talking about Jungkook moving in with Seokjin, and getting a wedding planner to help them out— it happens quickly.
By the second month, Jungkook still feels as if a piece of his heart was ripped away, but he at least is planning to move on with his life anyway.
It's not that he doesn't like Seokjin— he's an amazing guy, he's funny, and he's really good-looking— but Jungkook loves with all of his heart and he can also be broken and stay that way for months, up to a year or more, like when he's lost loved ones or how he was sad when he graduated and hadn't seen some of his friends since then.
With Daehyun, he really thought he would be the one to love and marry and be together forever.
So how is it that Jungkook found himself packing boxes of clothes to go and move in with his new fiancé?— not Daehyun.
Not only that, but the fact that Jungkook went from his own home to his parent's home and now to Seokjin's home— he hates moving back and forth and he hates how uncertain he is at times.
He can't be certain that he's making right decisions, but his friends and parents reassure him, along with Seokjin, who doesn't even know the half of Jungkook's worries, yet still just somehow knows what to say.
Even as he helps Jungkook carry boxes into their now shared apartment, Seokjin stops and glances back at him, giving him a knowing look.
"You good? Is there something wrong?"
Jungkook quickly denies it, shaking his head as he sets a box down by the door. "No, just tired is all."
Even after the denial, Seokjin steps up to Jungkook and places his palm over Jungkook's cheek, earning his attention.
"If there's anything you don't like, just tell me, okay? This is your home now and I want you to feel at home too."
A shiver runs down Jungkook's spine, but his shoulders drop and he suddenly feels his throat swell up, tears threatening to form in his eyes as he thinks over Seokjin's words.
It reminds him all too much of when he moved in with Daehyun. It reminds him all too much of the heartbreak he felt while walking into his very own home and catching his boyfriend with someone else.
Home isn't even a safe place.
"I- I just wanna finish unpacking so I can take a shower. Please?"
Seokjin must've noticed the way Jungkook zoned out because now he has worry in his eyes and Jungkook gulps as he wonders if he gave himself away.
"If you want, I can unpack your things while you shower. Then you can just relax, yeah?" Seokjin tries to work with Jungkook, but Jungkook doesn't let that happen.
"I don't want to bother you, hyung."
"You're not a bother, Jungkook-ah." Seokjin goes over to the box labeled as self-care and takes Jungkook's bath bag out, handing it to him, letting Jungkook have his soaps and stuff. "I'll show you where I keep the towels and you can put your toothbrush in the bathroom too. Come on."
He gently takes Jungkook's hand and leads him away from the boxes, not taking no for an answer. Jungkook doesn't mind or else he'd say something. He just lets Seokjin take care of him anyway.

Jungkook took a bottle of water from the fridge and since it's raining, he gets comfortable on the soft sofa and watches the rain hit the window.
It's cold and he probably should be under a blanket right now, but it's whatever. And he's so incredibly exhausted, but it's hard to sleep when all he can do is stare up at the ceiling.
"Jungkook-ah?" He's pulled from his half-sleep and glances over to Seokjin, who was walking out of his room. "Aren't you going to sleep?"
Jungkook holds up his bottle of water and gives him a small smile. "I was thirsty. I already finished the drink you gave me earlier. Hope you don't mind."
Seokjin steps up behind the sofa and smiles as well. "Anything here is yours. I don't mind whatever you want— except maybe my gummy snacks. I'm greedy with those," he jokes, cracking up.
Jungkook laughs lightly and nods, telling him he won't take them, to which Seokjin offers some anyway.
After Seokjin goes off to the kitchen and comes back by the living room, he walks around the sofa and apparently thought it was too cold because he has a blanket in his hands and doesn't ask before settling down next to Jungkook and wrapping the fuzzy warmness around him.
The heat from Seokjin's body is warmer than the blanket and in all honesty, when Seokjin pulls Jungkook a little closer until he's lying back onto him, Jungkook feels his heart melt.
He snuggles closer into Seokjin and tries to share the blanket with him as they both watch the rainfall.
"Is this too much?"
Jungkook shakes his head gently. "It's perfect, hyung."
Lying in Seokjin's arms like this reminds Jungkook just how much better off he is, being in the arms of someone who means no harm.
Seokjin is warm, he's the perfect fit, and Jungkook turns over to wrap his arms around him easily. He's comfortable. He's safe. The sound of the rain is relaxing. It's perfect.
For the first time in a while, Jungkook falls asleep easily.
