When will the machoism end
Too scared to express feelings because
"Thats girly"
"Don't be such a bitch"
And "grow a pair"

The state of my mental illness is laughed upon
I can't cry because it's not how men do things
I can't tell you im depressed because you'll say
"Thats a fancy word for feeling sad"

And if you can't see it
It doesn't exist.
I have to reach out for help
But its been ingrained in my head
If you open up
They will leave. Im too much for them
Even too much for myself

Take these expensive pills and talk to a therapist
Thats all you can do
Because seeking help from a friend for the sadness built up inside me
Isn't manly.
