This morning, Kuroko Tetsuya expected to wake up and go to school like he would any other day.

But...fate didn't exactly cooperate with that plan.

It all started when he was waiting to get his milkshake at Magi Burger. Kagami was who knows where and Kuroko had had a long enough day where the best thing at the moment for him was his favorite vanilla milkshake.

He had been waiting an awfully long time for his turn to order and Kuroko finally looked at the person in front of him to see what was happening.

The first thing he noticed was how you was strangely pointing at the things you wanted without saying anything. You were furiously tapping the menu on the counter at the drink you wished to order.

The cashier had confusion plastered over her face, and the fact that you weren't saying anything made it even worse.

"I'm sorry ma'am but if you can't tell me what you want, I'm going to have to ask you to leave." The cashier said as she sighed. You immediately looked like you were about to cry. Kuroko's heart didn't understand why he felt the urge to help you at that moment, but he did anyway.

Kuroko stepped up beside you and said,

"Excuse me, but I think she'd like the vanilla milkshake. Make it two please." The cashier nodded. You, who was now looking up at Kuroko with emotion filled eyes mouthed a "thank you".

His lips turned up in a grin and he nodded in acknowledgment.

Once the drinks came, Kuroko carried both drinks to his usual booth and sat down.

You hesitated but sat down across from him anyway. You quickly got out a notepad and scribbled a few words down before vigorously turning it around for Kuroko to see.

"Thank you so much. I was so frustrated and apparently if you can't tell them what they want, they don't want you as a customer." Kuroko shook his head and replied,

"You're welcome. If you don't mind me asking, what's your name?"

You smiled and wrote,

"(Y/N) (L/N)."

Kuroko's eyes skimmed over the writting and said your name out loud.

It sounded like music to your ears. You had never heard someone say your name with such delicacy. You smiled and gestured a hand towards him, indicating you wanted to know his name in return. He said,

"Kuroko Tetsuya, it's nice to meet you (Y/N)-chan."

(Time Skip)

Going to Magi Burger together became a daily thing for you and Kuroko. You would wait at the door, Kuroko would come in, he would order, and then you guys would enjoy your drinks together enjoying the silence you two (thankfully) had in common.

You pulled out your notepad and wrote,

"Don't you ever get tired of me?" Kuroko smiled sweetly and shook his head.

"Never." You blushed slightly and wrote again,

"But I'm boring." Kuroko sipped his milkshake and said,

"Yeah well so am I. I enjoy your company more than I've enjoyed anyone else's in years. Even though you can't speak, I can still hear your voice. I can hear everything from right here." He pointed to your heart. You looked into his eyes and furrowed your eyebrows in confusion.

Kuroko got up and sat down beside you. He took your shaky hand into his own and placed it where his heart was.

"Can't you feel it (Y/N)? It's beating for you." You blushed harder and noticed Kuroko getting closer. You leaned your head back and just as your lips were about to touch, a guy with tan skin and navy blue hair crashed a car through the window of the building.

He got out and ran up to Kuroko.

"I'm sorry Tetsu but I can't allow this. You're my bæ and I won't allow anyone else to have you." He then picked Kuroko up, strapped him to the roof of his vehicle, and backed out of the window. He then sped away into the night.
