Scene 5, Act 5

Monday morning, the classroom is filled with students finding their seats. Evan is sitting in the seat behind Abbey, while Sarah is sitting in the seat to th left of her.

Abbey turns to look at Evan and asks: "Did you find out who sent you that message?"

Evan picks up his phone and goes back to the message that Abbey had shown him a few days earlier. The ID is unknown.

Evan says: "Nah, I didn't. But it's okay. They haven't messaged me back, so I think I should be fine."

Sarah twisted back in her chair to address Evan. She says: "Have you heard from Christian and Elijah? Maybe it was them."

Before Evan can answer a conversation amongst other students can be overheard.

A random girl says: "I heard that Christian was arrested for drug possession..."

Another girl says: "Really? Well, I heard that his parents found out that he was doing drugs and they sent him to military school!"

Abbey shrugs and looks back at Evan as she says: "I think that Christian is off our suspect list... I don't think that he can use a phone from prison... don't they have a 'one phone call only' policy?"

Sarah smiles at Abbey's joke and says: "Or maybe that counts him in as a suspect. I don't buy into those rumors... He's probably going MIA to play tricks on you, Evan."

Evan opens his mouth ready to speak but their teacher Mrs Parker speaks up demanding the entire class's attention.

Mrs Parker says: "Okay students, I need you to open your books to page two-hundred and twenty-four... Alex, would you start the reading?"

The student known as Alex begins reading his textbook.

Abbey, Sarah, and Evan all begin to silently read along in their books.

There is the occasional distracting chuckle in the class, making them all look up for a second and then back down at their books.

Suddenly, Abbey's phone begins to vibrate from in her pocket. She subtly pulls it out of her pocket to see that she has received a forwarded message.

The message is of a video that instantly leaves her in shock.

The video shows Evan sitting on a couch with another female student sitting on his lap, kissing him. Evan is clearly very drunk in the video. He looks close to passing out.

Abbey is frozen in her seat. A mixture of shock, anger, and misery is wiped across her face. A couple of stray tears appear in her eyes. She immediately stands up, drops her phone to the floor and marches out of the classroom.

Mrs Parker says: "Abbey... Abbey? Come back! We are in the middle of our reading... This will be covered in your exams."

Sarah looks over at Evan and then at the teacher. 

Sarah says: "Mrs Parker? I'm going to go after her!"

Sarah gets up from her seat and leaves the classroom after Abbey.

Evan picks up Abbey's phone and pushes play on the video revealing his crime from the party.

The eye of every student is on him. He slumps down in his seat and covers his face with his book in embarrassment, anger and regret.
