So, as some of you know, I've been working on a April Hale comic for a few months. I'm not much of an illustrator and I usually draw realistic faces, so this has been A TRULY PAINFUL PROCESS AND I'M STILL PROCESSING WHY I TORTURE MYSELF LIKE THIS.

Okay, that madness aside, I'm so proud to present you the very first chapter of the COMIC. The whole comic can be found on webtoon, all free of charge and forever will be free of charge. You know, just subbing the webtoon or reading it made me so happy because being an illustrator is like a failed dream of mine (maybe in another lifetime).

I've been getting help from one of my friend to ink the picture, and there are LOTS of new material for the comic. You know, when you translate a novel to a comic, there are going to be a LOT of changes.

My changes, for example:

I need to shorten my sentence and cherry-pick the winning dialogues that can stay in the comic.

More MOMENTS to think for, because I feel in a romance comic, I can be more lenient with my plot.

MULTIPLE POVS!!

(okay, so if you've read a couple of my books, I almost never alternate POVs. It's just not my style because I think a novel should be a private experience between the characters and the reader of said characters).

But in comic, I find that the storytelling can be done within the POV of several characters at once! So expect Quentin chapters, or Ryder chapters, or Alex chapters! <3 I know that I'm expecting them.

I'm updating twice A MONTH on webtoon, because of time constraint and whoever made the world only put 24 hours and not 48 hours on it (I TOLD YOU, UNIVERSE, THAT PEOPLE NEED 48 HOURS BUT YOU DIDN'T LISTEN, DID YOU?)

As you can see, there's a more... Asian feel to this compared to the original wattpad novel. Growing up with Sailor moon and countless Shojo manga, drawing this feels nostalgic to me. I hope that you can like the comic, despite its shortcomings! And that's it for my wattpadblock post!!
