Jake Pov

I followed Shadow into the dark. He kept talking to me but I wasn't even listening.

How did I forget my own birthday?

Was I too busy with everything else?

It's strange..

"We're here". I heard His voice.

I stopped walking and looked around.

A graveyard?

"Uhhhmm".

Shadow looked at me.

"If you want to kill me I have to tell you that this won't work. I'm already dead soo--"

"Jake, just wait".

Shadow stepped forwoard and raise his arms.

After a while I heard tiny footsteps.

"That's a Pumpkin-Child"

Shadow said and pointed at the cutest thing I've ever seen In my life.

He stopped in front of me.

"Happy Birthday Jake!" He said with his high pitched voice.

"Huh cute" I muttered and just looked at him.

Shadow bend down on his knee.

"Hey, Is Yulong done now?"

"We have prepared everything for Jakes Birthday Party".

The pumkin-child answered and vanished into the air.

A Birthday Party for me? That's Shadows surprise.

I smiled softly and looked at Shadow.

"Really Hyung?"

"C'mon, You don't want to be late to your own Party, don't you?"

Shadow held my hand and breathed out.

I looked around and saw a whole crowd of people. When I looked closer at them I understood that they weren't "normal" people.

One of them had orange eyes.
The other one had fangs.
I even saw dancing skeletons.

"You must be our Birthday-Boy Jakey".

I turned around and saw a young man.

"U--Uhmm yeah".

"Haha, no need to be shy! Tonight is your night!" HEYYY FRIENDS JAKE IS FINNALY HERE!"

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAKE!!" The whole crowd shouted.

"I'm Yulong, It's nice to meet you". He shook my hand.

"He's always shy to strangers" Shadow said from behind. I just gave him a death-glare.

"Well, But I'm not a stranger anymore. Please enjoy your party Jake".

Yulong spread his wings and flew to the crowd.

Shadow put his arm around my neck and we went to a golden table.

Later...

"Have fun?" Shadow asked and put more food on my plate.

I just nodded while eating my tacos.

"So I'm not a monster anymore?"

I looked at him.

"Hyu--"

Shadow! BABY!

A girl with long brown hair and red lips came and sat on Shadows lap.

Is this his girlfriend?

"Fa, long time no see" Shadow put his hand on her thigh.

"I know baby, I've missed you soo much"

Urgh she's annoying.

"That's Jake, my friend, Jake that's Nats sister Fa" Shadow introduced us.

Poor Nat.

"Aha...Shadow baby I have to tell you something!"

That's it? She didn't even look at me!

1 hour later..

I sigh and put my head on the table.
The two lovebirds won't stop talking!

If I weren't already dead, I would've stab a knife into my heart to avoid them.

It's my birthday!! Well...yeah I forgot it! But it seems that Shadow begings to forget it too!

He is here with me so why is he spending time with her?

Why is he even together with her?!

"My friends are calling me, I'll be back"

Fa gave Shadow a kiss on his lips and disappeard.

Urghh I have to throw up.

I crossed my arms and bit my lip.

"I hate this Birthday!" I said.

"B-But why? Don't you like tacos?"

"I'm not talking about the food Hyung!"

"But?---Aaahhh It's because of Fa".

"No, It's not because of this thing!" I rolled my eyes.

Shadow laughed and clapped his hands.

"I know she's annoying sometimes, but she's hot".

Hot? He likes those typ of girls?

"Don't you think so?" He asked me.

Should I insult his girlfriend?

"She's your girlfriend, so doesn't matter what I think of her".

"Wooow wooow slow down" Shadow put his Hands in the air.

"I said that's she's hot not that's she's my girlfriend!".

"So friends with benefits?"

"Kind of".

"Disgusting" I whispered and rolled my eyes.

"Why? Don't you ever thought of having sex with Ji-woo?huuhh Jake?"

What's wrong with him?!

"Hyung!!"

"Chill, I'm just joking" he smirked.

"You're not funny. And why are you talking about Ji-woo?"

"Why not? You don't visit her anymore, don't you miss her?"

I said nothing.

I do miss her. A lot.

"Or are you beginning to regret?"

Shadow came closer and his black eyes appeared.

"Babyy I'm baaaack"

No!not her again!

"Shadow let us go to my place" Fa grabbed his hand but Shadow pushed it away.

"I'm not in the mood. Leave me alone I want to be with Jake".

"With him!?! BU--"

"Didn't you hear what I said?! Leave now Fa!!" He said louder.

Fa began to cry and ran away.

Haha!!

I can't help but smile.

"There's your pretty smile, C'mon let us dance".

Shadow took my hand and lead me to the dance floor.

A while later..

After dancing Me and Shadow sat on our table-place and laughed.

When we were dancing he did the electric- thing again.

Should I tell him to stop?
Maybe his powers are still loading?

Hmmmm....

"Hahaha You did not!"

Shadow has a funny laugh.

"Yeahh haha and than--"

"Jake?is that you?"

I turned around and saw a young woman coming to us.

"Do you know her?" Shadow asked.

When she came closer I realized who she was.

"Aunt Leia..."

I stood up. She smiled and hugged me.

I was 10 years old when she died.
She was at the wrong time at the wrong place.

"My sweet boy, My Jakey what happened to you?"

"I missed you Aunt Leia" I said in her neck.

This is the best birthday -present ever.

Shadow cleared his troath what made us look at him.

"Where are my manners, I'm Shadow It's nice to meet Jakes Aunt"

Shadow kissed her hand and smiled at me.

"Didn't know Jake had a handsome gentleman as a friend".

Really Aunt Leia?

"And I didn't know that Jake had such a lovley young woman as a Aunt"

Really Shadow?

I just rolled my eyes.

"I hope my Jakey is always nice to you".

"He's sometimes a pain in the a** and very stubborn."

After he said this My Aunt began to laugh.

"Haha, I see he hasn't changed a bit"

Aunt Leia put her hand on my cheek.

"Happy Birthday my sunshine. I wish we could have spend more time when I was alive. You look just like my beautiful sister".

My mom...I completely forgot my own mother. The whole time I was focused on Ji-woo and the lost souls that I forgot the woman that gave birth to me.

I wonder what she's doing now.
Is she okay? Does she miss me?

"Aunt Leia, Are you okay?"

I put my hand on hers.

"Of course I am. Are you?".

"I would like to spend more time with you two but the pumkin-children must go to sleep now"

Aunt Leia gave Shadow a hug.

"You're such a pretty boy!" She said and pinched his cheeks.

Is Shadow blushing???

"Goodbye Aunt Leia" I said and kissed her cheek.

"Goodbye Jake, take good care of yourself...My Jakey please don't be afraid."

Was the last thing she said befor she vanished into air.

Why is everybody vanishing???

"A great woman" Shadow said and sat down.

"Uh-hum"

I also sat down and put my hand under my chin.

"Why is she still here?? Is she also a lost soul?"

"Naahh, I don't think so". Shadow answered.

"Why is she not in heaven?"

"Am I god? You should pray if you want answers".

"How come that you believe in god?Should't you hate religion?"

"Just because I'm a demon doesn't mean that I don't believe in god. That's a sin the devil himself didn't even do".

"Sometimes I think god doesn't like me"

Shadow shook his head.

"That's the problem with you humans. Just because something bad happens you blame it all on god. The worst part is that some of you pretend to be god".

I kept listening to him.

"If you do this god won't forgive you
If you do this you will burn in hell and bla bla bla"

"Sounds like you don't really care about humans".

"Ttzz, why should I? Humans are stupid and have no heart".

"Just like demons right?"

Shadow just looked at me.

I swallowed.

Why did I say this?!??!

Shadow sigh and smiled.

"The difference is that demons know that god Is a friend to humans but humans think that god is their enemy."

"And do you really think that It was just a small fluke that you meet your Aunt,here on your birthday?"

His words made me think about my whole life I lived as a human.

"I forgot to buy you a present"

Shadow said and nudges me out of my thoughts.

"Present? You just gifted me a whole Party."

"A Party is not a real present, You're my friend and I want to make you happy".

He really wants to cheer me up.

"Make Any Wish,You Want"

"Any wish?"

"Don't get too excited, I'm talking about 1 wish".
