I just bought the Undertale Art Book (YOU CAN'T HEAR IT BUT I'VE BEEN THE SOURCE OF MUCH UNHOLY SCREECHING FOR THE PAST FEW DAYS BECAUSE OF IT). And in it, Toby confirms that Papyrus was initially supposed to be inspired visually by Dedan.

And that's just one of those things that you kind of think about. Because imagine our local Papyrus and Dedan hanging out. 

I would honestly pay money to see that.
