He fell from the highest mountain,
He painted her eyes from his memory,
So vividly,
Like they were precious jewelry
He lay at her delicate feet,
He caressed her sunshine yellow hair,
He kissed her hand like it was splendor,
With such tender,
In a battlefield, where he'll surrender
Just to wrap his arms around her
Yet, there she stood still
There, she never looked at the eyes
Of this brave, young suitor
There, she never even glanced at his way,
Or even took notice of his disarray
So he sank,
He fell,
Like an angel from hell,
Broke his wings just to be with this mademoiselle
And he sank,
He fell,
As he lay still on the cold floor,
With his scarred back,
He was done for
