Code's POV

"This is for you..." Nang makalabas kami ng store ay ini-abot ko na sa kaniya ang headphone na gusto niya.

Nang lingunan ako nito ay nakakunot na ang kaniyang noo. "Huh?! Ayoko nga! Ang mahal n'yan!" Itinulak niya ang kamay ko na hawak ang headphones palayo sa kaniya.

I tilt my head, "Isipin mo nalang early birthday gift ko 'yan, by the way kailan ba birthday mo?" I asked and he rolled his eyes

"No, hindi ko sasabihin at mas lalong hindi ko 'yan tatanggapin." he replied, my lips parted before a scoff escaped my lips. 

This boy is so stubborn."Grey, just accept it okay? Hindi ko na 'yan pwede ibalik, don't worry next time hindi na kita ibibili nang hindi mo alam." I said before pushing the box towards him, he accepted it with his hands or else it will fall. I faced my back at him and start walking.

He was calling my name over and over but I didn't look back. Instead I just took a turn to the bathroom. It didn't took me too long inside the bathroom since there's no much people. After doing my business, I just look at myself on the mirror before heading out.

Nang makalabas ako ay nakita ko ito na nakasandal sa malapit sa isang food stall, hawak-hawak ang kahon ng headphone at inuusisa ito.

"Let's eat lunch, I know a place, let's go." I said that caught his attention, he stood up straight and nod before we head to the restaurant.

I brought him to a fancy restaurant that I used to eat with my friends back in high school. The restaurant offers VIP rooms for more privacy and of course I asked for one and they guided us to an available room.

They gave us the menu and left the room for us to decided what to order.

"Bakit pa VIP? Artista kaba?" Grey asked while we're looking through the menu.

Sa gwapo kong 'to? Mapapagkamalan talaga akong artista.

"No, gusto ko lang, nakita mo ba? Ang daming tao sa labas, so I decided to get a VIP room." I replied, eyes focused on the menu.

"Mhmm, by the way, thanks for the headphones. I really like it." he said, almost came out as a mumble.

A small smile crept on my lips, I tried to hide it before the menu so he wouldn't notice me. It took us few minutes before we both decided what to eat and I pressed the button near the table to call a waiter.

"Yes sir?" One lady comes in.

"I'd like to get Roadhouse Prime Rib, two orders of Lasagna, also the Creamy Spinach Stuffed Salmon in Butter and Italian Stuffed Flank steak please." I ordered, the waitress slowly nods as she write it down. 

"What about you sir? Anything else?" The waitress looked at Grey.

Grey's eyes widened and look at me with panic, he wasn't expecting the lady to ask him.

I smiled at him, "You order the dessert you want, i-order mo na rin ako" I said and he nods.

"Ahm... two Blueberry Cheesecake please." he said and I squinted my eyes.

"And, " Napalingon si Grey sa akin nang magsalita ako. 

"And Beignets please." I added and the waitress nod.

"Is that all sir?" she asked once again,

"Water too." Grey awkwardly smiled, the lady nodded and leave.

"This place is really nice, this is a huge table, Code. There's only the two of us, you should have asked your driver to join us." Grey said like an excited kid. This is the first time I am seeing him this happy and excited. I wonder if his family ever goes to this kind of place. Their family's company is pretty huge too. 

I slowly shake my head, "My driver doesn't want to go with me at times like this. He think that it'll be awkward if he joins me and a friend. But anyways... where's your dad?" I asked, changing the topic.

He squinted his eyes, "Sinabi ko na diba? Nasa business trip si dad, busy." he replied and I slowly nod. 

"Business trip sa?" Pagkukulit ko rito, napabuntong hininga siya at sumandal sa bangko.

"Canada, 'yong mga big companies daw ay kasama doon, its a great opportunity para sa company namin kung makakapunta si dad. Supposedly kasama si mom, pero sabi niya mag papaiwan nalang siya para mabantayan ako." he replied and a smile slowly prints on my lips. 

I wish mom is still with us.

"But isn't your company already doing great?" I confusedly asked, 

"Not as big as yours, we mostly focus on machines, cars, and other... thing." he unsurely replied which made me giggle. He surely is not interested in their company.

"Your company is big, I've heard of it already." I said and his eyes widened. 

"What?! No! Yours is still way bigger!" he replied which made me chuckle and shake my head. We continue talking about our family's business. It also seems that both of us is not interested with our family's company but at the same time doesn't hate it. We're both cool about the business industry.

"Ang dami naman nito." Grey said while putting food in his plate.

"I ordered the best selling in this restaurant, of course para naman matikman mo ang sarap ng isang Costa." I joked, I giggled when he choked on his food and had to drink water.

"Just kidding, I mean, just so you could taste what's tasty here in La Cuisine, marami pang masarap dito but I ordered the best." I replied and he nodded.

We went silent for minutes, eating and enjoying the food. Kahit ilang beses akong kumain diito ay hindi ako magsasawa.

"Madalas kaba kumain dito? Mukhang master mo na 'tong restaurant na 'to." he said, reaching for the glass of water.

"This is ours, actually-"

My eyes widened when Grey choked on his water and cough hardly.

"Grey, are you okay?!" I panicked, I immediately stood up and rush to his back to give him some soft rubs.

"That was really surprising." he said once he cooled down, wiping the side of his lips.

I grab a napkin and went close to his face, I can sense is nervousness and tension when our faces are inches apart.

I carefully wipe the side of his lips, "You know... soundproof and VIP room." I seductively said, 

He pinched me by my side which made me step back, "Fucker!" Parehas kaming napahagalpak nang tawa nang sumigaw ito. Bumalik nalang ako sa bangko ko at nagpatuloy na kaming kumain. 

After we finsihed our food after more than an hour, I paid of course. I know how business works at kahit sa amin ito ay nagbabayad pa rin ako sa tuwing kakain ako rito.

"Uuwi na ba tayo? 2:30pm na." Grey asked while we're walking.

"I'm not really in mood for arcade, let's go to the Department Store." Pag-aaya ko, he just nod and followed me to the Dept store.

When we got inside, I immediately brought myself to my favorite section, the clothes and shoes.

"Are you sure sa anim na polo na 'yan?" tanong ni Grey habang nakatingin sa mga polo ko na hawak. Ilang minuto palang kami rito pero ilan na agad ang nahanap ko. 

"Of course, why not, diba? I love Ralph Lauren, Grey. Polo shirts and long sleeves, heaven." I said which made him giggle. 

After picking up around 3 more and trying it on, it came out nice. So I decided to get the polo and proceed to pants.

I got 4 new black pants and slacks in different colors. I usually wear slacks and polo to school, it's my go-to-outfit.

It did took us awhile shopping. Grey would just follow me around. I would ask him suggestions and opinion and he would also help me look for more clothes. 

"How much is the total?" Grey asked whiel we're walking back towards the car.

Natawagan ko na si Kuya Top na pabalik na kami kaya namna inaasahan ko nang handa na yung sasakyan.

I shrugged, "Awan, hindi ko na tiningnan." I shortly replied and he just hummed. 

We got inside the car and the whole ride back to his house is silent. I'm checking the new phone I got while Grey is just staring outside, probably tired from the day.

"Thanks for hanging-out with me. It was really nice, I hope there's a next time." I replied once we got in front of their house. 

He flashed a smile and raised the headphones. 

"Thank you dito, ingat kayo pag-uwi." he said before getting inside their gate. I wait for him to get inside the door before I get back inside the car and leave. 

Grey's POV

When I get inside the house, I immediately saw mom by the couch, busy on her laptop. 

I walked towards her, "I'll just be in my room." I gave her a kiss on the cheeks and she just hummed in response. 

When I got inside my room, I go through my clothe and grab a pair of sleeping wear. I took a warm shower since it was a tiring day. After showering I slightly dried my hair so water won't eb dripping from it. 

I'm trying to hide the headphones Code gave me when the door opened, I immediately hid it under my bed.

"How was your day?" Mom softly asked, 

I gave her a smile, "It's fun, it was nice." I replied, she nods and sat down on my bed.

Mom gave me a smile before caressing my hair, "Grey, I know you and... Code are friends, good friends rather. But his family... their company, their corporation is huge. I think it would be the best if you two won't hang out that much." Her statement gave confusion in my head. 

"What do you mean? What's wrong with hanging-out with him?" I confusedly asked. I don't get it.

"Just... do it, Grey. I just don't think it's a good idea. They are huge, I am sensing a bad feeling about it. It's not Code who seems like having a dark aura, but his surname and everything behind him is." she said and my lips parted. 

I don't get a thing on what she's saying.

Mom stood up from my bed, "Bumaba kana maya-maya, I'll cook dinner na." she said before exiting my room, leaving me dumbfounded.

A sigh escaped my lips before I lay down on my bed. Hands on the stomach, staring by the ceiling. 

I feel... sad and... upset.

Why does it have to be that way? Based on the movies I watched and some books I've read. People like Code, who came from a wealthy and well-known family in business industry, a lot of people who also have their companies wants to be friends with him. They want connection from him. A friendship with someone who's from a wealthy family can give you a lot of benefits. 

But why is it the other way around? Why do I need to loose connection with him?
