This kind of goes under the mary-sue OC category, but oh well.

I hate when people give super long names to their characters! I mean, cmon people, we know it's gonna be some basic, OP character that's a child of all the gods. And seriously, let's be honest here- no person is going to name their kid Luna Galaxy Star Butterfly Destiny Gold Maria Jasmine Lucia Smith JR.

I also hate when people give their characters really, really, really wierd names. I mean, I love unique names. They're cool! My name's Athena, and I love being the only person at my school with that name. But some people just take random things and give those to their character as a name. Unless they just really love New Mexico, I doubt anybody's going to name their kid Albuquerque. If you need help finding names, I'd recommend going to nameberry.com. They have a lot of cool names on there, plus their meanings. I used that website to name my one OC. She loves dark colors, so I named her Kiera, because, according to Nameberry and a couple other websites, Kier, and it's other spelling Ciar, means dark in Welsh.

I just wish people would put a little more thought into their names, and try to be more... rational. You can be unique, but try to be real too.
