Writing this chapter to prove this book was not an excuse to talk about why I love RWBY-

So before the American anime stole my heart, I was obsessed with this small visual novel psychological horror dating sim game called Doki Doki Literature Club. Y'all may remember that, way back when...

It's actually been a year since I got into it and holy crap, time flew by-

This game, despite never playing it for myself, was able to make me care about the characters enough for it to pull it it's dramatic twist...

Gruesomely murdering them.

I was never exposed to any kind of visual novel, any type of anime thingie, or any of those dark themes before this game.

Hell, being a fan of this game kinda... proved to me that I'm stronger and able to handle more things than I thought.

Being the "sheltered homeschooled Christian girl" I was and am, I wasn't exposed to the same things you non-sheltered public schoolers are.

This game opened up my eyes to a lot of issues I was aware of but.. never really thought about.

It made me care, it made me think, it made me want to help people in these girls situations and now... now I hope I'm doing a good job at helping my friends go through similar experiences as Sayori, Yuri, and Natsuki.

Monika, however. She's a different story.. her struggle isn't like the other girls'. It's not exactly something "common" in our world, becoming aware you're in a video game and you can control it and all that ish.

Now, as many know, Monika is my best girl. And I would talk about why but I've talked about it way too many times in my randomness book (the first one) so I'll spare y'all the spiel.

In conclusion, Doki Doki Literature Club has shaped be, helped me, AND allowed me to meet so many amazing and beautiful people who I am proud to call my friends and I love them so much and wanna protect them and hug them and sksjjsjssjjsjsjsjsjsjsjjs-
