Chapter 16
Get ready for water works!
---------------------------------------------------------
All of our guests left with a "I'm sorry for your loss." Or a "Stay strong." They told Mabel they will miss her. Even Robbie and Pacifica gave her a hug. Candy and Grenda came over to say goodbye to Mabel. Candy must of cried a waterfall, but I couldn't blame her. I was upset ,too. Ford rolled his eyes and walked out. He said emotion was "for children" and said that I was "a waste of time". When he said that he seemed upset that I wasn't his mirror.
Stan ,however, stayed with us. I guess I was wrong about Grunkle Stan last summer when he opened up the portal.
As for Mabel and I, we had some time to hang out before she left. She became very weak so Soos made her a wheel chair.
"Dipper! Where should we go?" She said happily.
"Well, its up to you. But I did set something up for us while Soos is built this chair for you." I said with a grin on my face.
"Then let's go there!" She said braiding her gray and brunette hair.
I walked her into the enchanted fairy forest for her surprise. She started to cry as she saw what I put together.
"Mabel, what's wrong?"
"It's amazing." She said with amazement. I set up an enchanted picnic with everything Mabel loves. I also made a vine swing covered in enchanted flowers. I wheeled Mabel over to the picnic blanket and helped her off. We must of spent the entire rest of the day there. I even let her bedazzle me. But, this day only made me feel worse. In an half an hour, this would be over. Mabel would be gone.
"Well. Mabel, I hate to end this day, but there's thirty minutes to midnight. Its time to go home." I mumbled.
I expected her to cry, but she was strangely excepting. Like through this experience she became, more adult like. Wow. Happened a little too late. I helped her into her wheel chair and drove her home.

Everyone said there goodbyes to Mabel and left her and I alone for final goodbyes.
"Dipper, I want to say sorry for showing Soos and Wendy that picture of you and Mermando." Mabel choked out. She seemed even weaker than before.
"It's okay ,Mabel, just rest." I said to her.
"Thanks Dipper. Promise you will take care of Waddles for me?" She asked.
"Promise."
"And no more fights in school, right? I can't defend you anymore." It was true. The bullying got worse than it was last year than it was two years ago.
"No more fights." I agreed.
"Can you promise to make new friends?"
I started to tear up at that question. "Yeah. I promise. It's just, your my only friend. I don't know what I what I'd do without you." I choked out.
She started to cry. She hugged me tight. "I'm sorry I have to leave. Promise you won't forget about me?"
"Forget about you? How could anyone forget about you."
"Thanks for defending me against Ford."
"That was nothing compared to what you've done for me in the past. I'm going to miss you."
"I'm going to miss you too, Dippin'dots. Oh. I almost forgot. See that folded piece of paper," she pointed at the night table where a folded paper sat. "Read it when you miss me."
"I will."
"Goodbye. I love you."
"No don't leave. Please. I love you, too! Please." She was gone.
