[Continuation: Chapter 2]

There is no remedy for the scars that are inflicted on the heart. Meng Ziyi stroked his back when he vomited out all the apple he was forced to eat minutes ago. Sometimes the food would replace the blood when he coughed. There is only so much a body can do when the soul itself is barely holding on. 

After washing after him, they both stepped out of the bathroom and Xiao Zhan halted at seeing the person standing in the entrance. 

He just met him today? 

Zheng Fanxing stopped with 'Ah' expression when he entered into the house. 

"Welcome back A- Xing, How was your day?" 

The day they all were aware of!  

"Sir Liu  assigned me a new task, which required some preparation." Zheng Fanxing said eyeing Xiao Zhan. 

Xiao Zhan gave Meng Ziyi an inquisitive look. Meng Ziyi read his expression and gestured him to go back into the room. Xiao Zhan obediently went back inside and Zheng Fanxing went to his room.

Meng Ziyi brought a glass of water for Xiao Zhan and he reluctantly drank it. 

"He's my cousin." Meng Ziyi replied. 

"How come I never knew about him?"  Xiao Zhan questioned. They had known each other for so long, Xiao Zhan knew about all of the family members yet he had never heard of Zheng Fanxing.

"A- Xing lived with Uncle Zhang in Changchun. He came back when... when A- Peng was sent away." 

Xiao Zhan widened his eyes. No matter how much he tried to forget about it, there were many stabs that still bled till this day. 

It might come as a surprise but his enemy was once his friend. He Peng and Xiao Zhan were friends. Not just any friends, best friends. They would often hang around at He Peng's place His father Xiu Qing was fond of Xiao Zhan a lot. If it weren't for He Peng, Xiao Zhan would still be mourning over the people he had lost. Wang Hao Xuan later joined them and the three of them made iconic trio. Enjoying life to the fullest. But when Xiao Zhan had begun to patch the broken picture in his mind, it begun to burn from the sides. He Peng and Wang Hao Xuan soon turned against him, adding another member to their group, Nyle Feng. But things only took for the worst when Wang Yibo came into the picture. 

Xiao Zhan was ecstatic to see Wang Yibo, he never thought he would meet him again after their abrupt departure but he later wished it wasn't the case

The little star was burnt beyond recognition!

"Is that why you wanted me to see that specific Psychiatrist? Because of your cousin?" Xiao Zhan never liked expressing his agony. He scolded himself for overreacting at every little thing. But little drops join to form an ocean. 

"That's part of it..." Meng Ziyi acknowledged. Xiao Zhan stared at her for a while but when no further statement was added he replied.

"Ziyi Jie, I can trust you right?" How much you can tear a person apart for him to not trust his own brood?

"Zhan!" Astounded and hurt, Meng Ziyi retorted. 

"I'm sorry. I will take my leave now." Xiao Zhan said when he stood up from the bed. Just when he was about to exit the door, Meng Ziyi called,

"A-Zhan... there is still many days before weekend..." 

Nothing more was needed to say as the unspoken words were clearly heard. 

"To be really honest Jie. I no longer know how to live." His reasons to live were all taken from him.

Meng Ziyi held her face in her palms and sighed visibly. She knew it was selfish of her to ask Xiao Zhan to go back, back  home. She prayed for him day in and out but that was all she could do. Meng Ziyi went to Paul Yubin's room to see if he had taken the supplement or not. She peaked through the door only to find Yubin rapping a song. She chuckled seeing her brother so enthusiastic about something. If it weren't for his heart, he might had been a good Rapper by then. But Yubin didn't let go of his dream and would sometime assure his sister the same. Meng Ziyi's dream was to fulfill her brother's dream, To see him happy. That's what all sisters pray for their brothers.

 But if it weren't for Paul Yubin, Maybe Xiao Zhan wouldn't be in this much pain.

"What's the deal?" Meng Ziyi asked entering Zheng Fanxing's room. He was jotting down few things in his journal.

"He's barely holding on." Zheng Fanxing said looking up, a tear was visible in the corner of his eyes. 

"What do you expect, he's been put through a lot since  a very young age." Meng Ziyi said monotonously. 

"I am aware." Zheng Fanxing said. 

"Now how would you know?" Meng Ziyi raised one of her eye brows to question him. Zheng Fanxing only came to Beijing when Zhang Bin heard of Meng Ziyi completing her medical degree. Zheng Fanxing fought his trauma and decided to pursue medicine as well. Meng Ziyi however studied it because she wanted to heal Yubin.  Maybe it was intentional, but for his internship she selected a hospital with a familiar face.

"He told me....Wang Yibo told me everything."
