It was Xiao Zhan's engagement eve. Many guests had already arrived at the avenue. The room was decorated with soft silver shade, bringing royal vibes to the guests.

Most of the big business groups were invited to the engagement of Zhan. Everyone respected CEO of Xiao Groups as one of the most powerful CEO of China. It was about 7 pm, almost all of the guests already appeared at the avenue.

Wang Yibo whose engagement was scheduled on the same day made his presence in the avenue at 7 pm. He was wearing a white shirt with all black pants and a black blazer with a bow tie. He looked like a prince waiting for his dreamgirl to make her appearance.

Many young girls envied the young CEO who was going to get engaged to Wang Yibo. He silently stood beside his father, waiting for Xiao Zhan's appearance. He wanted to drag Zhan, pin him against the wall and ask him why he didn't fight for their love, why he believed the mere evidences. But he knew that those were only his imaginations. The Zan family already made its appearance. Zan Jin was smiling from ear to ear while his father was too happy for his son. Zan Jin looked so soft in his attire that even men would envy because of his ethereal beauty.

Xiao Zhan's parents were waiting for Zhan to arrive at the avenue while his sister, Xuan Lu and Meng Ziyi were already waiting for him. Hao Xuan, Jiyang, Xuan Lu and Ziyi were chatting with each other while expressing their discontent about the engagement. In the meanwhile, Li Bowen made his appearance.

"Good evening, jiejie." Bowen greeted Xuan Lu to which Xuan Lu responded with a warm smile.

"Good evening Bowen." Xuan Lu smiled. "Where is Yu Bin? I cannot see him here."

"Oh! He said he is busy. So he might join later." Bowen smiled and looked at Ziyi whose face didn't show even a tint of happiness. "Meng Ziyi, aren't you happy for your friend?"

"Bowen, I know you know Zhan the best, still...I feel bad for Yibo." Ziyi said looking at Yibo who was standing at a distance with his parents.

"I feel happy for Yibo." Bowen smiled. "At least he already got someone to take care of him."

"Bowen, I know that the CEO is very rich, well known and popular among girls, but still, Yibo loves Zhan." Hao Xuan said in a disappointed tone.

"Did you see the invitation card of Yibo's engagement?" Bowen asked.

"We didn't even take it," Jiyang said in a disappointed tone.

"Leave it." Bowen chuckled, " you all look very beautiful today."

"Bowen, you really know how to impress people." Xuan Lu smiled.

"Ah! Jiejie, please excuse me. I need to meet with some of my clients." Bowen smiled and excused himself.

After a few minutes, Zhan walked into the avenue like a Prince for whom a beauty waited for years. He was wearing all black clothes with a designed jacket. His side parted black jet colored hair with a few locks over his thick well-defined eyebrows, really made him look like a Disney prince.

As Zhan entered the hall, the girls started to look at him like a rare piece of art while guys envied Zhan for his extremely handsome looks.

Zhan went to his parents while Mrs. Xiao smiled at his son's choice of attire. He smiled at his mother's compliment and shook his head gently, trying to withdraw a naughty lock of hair that kept falling on his left eye. His eyes accidentally met Wang Yibo's black orbs.

Yibo's eyes were filled with questions as he saw Zhan smiling so happily as if nothing happened to him a few days back. Xiao Zhan's eyes lingered on Yibo for a few seconds before he averted his gaze. Zhan's eyes searched for Mingjue but ended up finding Zan Jin who was smiling ear to ear. Zhan smiled and went to him.

"You look so handsome, honey." Zan Jin smiled as he eyes Zhan from head to toe.

"You too." Zhan smiled and held his hands.

Zhan smiled and went on the stage, holding Zan Jin's hand. He then held a mic and welcomed the guests. Everyone cheered for the couple. Zhan then turned towards Zan Jin and smiled.

"Honey, give me your hand." Zan Jin spread his palm so that he could put the engagement ring on Zhan's finger.

Zhan smiled and gave him his left hand. Zan Jin gently held Zhan's hand with one hand while he tried to put the ring using another hand. Zan Jin tried to put the ring on Zhan's finger but the ring stopped in midway. Zan Jin's brows got knitted together as the ring didn't fit on Zhan's finger's.

"How did it happen?" Zan Jin mumbled. "Why isn't it fitting? How did the ring size became smaller than your finger size?"

"It's okay honey, let me put my ring on your beautiful finger." Zhan smiled and took out his infamous model that ring.

"Isn't that the infamous ring worth $4000?!" One of the girls screamed among the guests.

"Omg! Yes, it is." Another girl almost shouted as she recognized the ring.

Zan Jin's eyes sparkled and looked at Zhan. Zhan held Zan Jin's hand. Before the ring could fix on Zan Jin's ring finger, Zhan took out the ring and pressed it using his all force. As a result, the ring got crumbled.

Zan Jin's eyes widened at Zhan's action. "Zhan...what is this!?" Zan Jin's voice almost sounded as whisper.

"Zan Jin, do you know why the ring didn't fit on my finger?" Zhan's voice became cold indicating a deadly danger ahead. "Because...we are not made for each other," Zhan smirked. "I never let you hold my hand in such a way that you could measure by finger size. Moreover..." Zhan titled his head and looked into Zan Jin's eyes. "...this ring is just a model of that infamous ring of $4000 dollar."

"Zhan...how could you?" Zan Jin's voice trembled as millions of his dreams got crushed in front of him just like a destroyed fortress.

"Just like you caused the accident to my shijie, MENG YAO." Zhan's voice emphasized the last words.
