Xiao Zhan's phone slipped from his hand after receiving the news. Yibo quickly held the phone, protecting it from touching the ground. Zhan stared at the wall blankly while his lips were parted. Shock was clearly written all over his face.

"Zhan?" Yibo shook Zhan softly. "Zhan?" He again shook him. "ZHAN!C Yibo shook his really hard, pulling Zhan out of daze. "What happened? Why do you look so pale?"

"Y-Yibo, my shijie had an a-accident!" Zhan looked at Yibo with hopeless stare.

"What!?" Yibo blurted out.

"We don't have time. Let's go." Zhan fixed his shirt and ran to the garage to take the car while Yibo followed him.

Zhan drove the car above the normal speed. Yibo could sense that the speed wasn't normal but he didn't dare to interrupt Zhan. As soon as they reached the hospital, Zhan quickly got out of the car and rushed inside the hospital. Yibo parked the car and quickly followed Zhan.

Zhan asked a nurse about Xuan Lu and she told the room number to him. Thanking her, he rushed towards the room. His pace was stopped by a doctor who was standing outside Xuan Lu's room.

"Are you Mr. Xiao Zhan?" The doctor asked.

"Yes," Zhan said breathlessly. "How is my shijie doing? Is she fine? Nothing serious happened to her, right?" Zhan panicked.

"Mr. Xiao, please calm down." The doctor smiled gently. "Your sister is perfectly alright. She just has few scratches on her hands and small injury on forehead. Otherwise, she is alright. We will discharge her tomorrow."

"Thank you, doctor." Zhan bowed to him. "Can I go inside to see her?"

"Sure." The doctor smiled and left the place.

Zhan quickly entered the room. Tears swelled in his eyes witnessing his only sister lying on the bed with her eyes closed.

"Shijie..." Zhan's lips parted as the words escaped which was nothing more than a whisper. He slowly walked and knelt down beside Xuan Lu's bed and took her soft hand into his. Tears escaped from his eyes without any hesitation while his eyes stared at her bandage on her forehead.

"It's all my fault." Zhan sniffed. "I shouldn't have let you go alone. It's all my fucking fault." Zhan's tears fell on her palms.

The sobs of Zhan made Xuan Lu open her eyes. She slowly turned her head towards him. Her lips curved into a soft smile at the sight of her brother sniffing like a kid.

"Zhan." Xuan Lu said softly. "I am okay. Don't cry."

"Shijie..." Zhan looked upwards to meet his sister's gaze. "I am sorry. I shouldn't have allowed you to go. I am really sorry." He sobbed.

"Zhan I am okay." Xuan Lu pushed her body back, adjusting herself to sit comfortably. "Why are you blaming yourself, come here." Xuan Lu moved a little so that Zhan could sit beside her. Zhan looked at her will swollen eyes and followed her words. Xuan Lu smiled as her brother softly obeyed her words. Zhan looked at her with his bog almond eyes, while tears flowed freely from them. "ZhanZhan, don't cry. I am okay. See." She wiped his tears and gently kissed his forehead."

"Shijie..." Zhan was about to say something but got interrupted by a loud bang of the door.

"Jiejie..." Ziyi ran to her. "What happened to you? How did it happen?" Ziyi cried. Her eyes became red, which showed that she had been crying for a long time.

"Honey, I am alright. Just a small scratches." Xuan Lu smiled, showing her hands to Ziyi.

"Aish...they look painful." Ziyi looked at Xuan Lu's hands and then at her. Tears flooded her cheeks.

"It's not a big deal, love." Xuan Lu smiled, assuring her that she was alright. "Look at you two. You are crying like kids. Stop crying. Did you bring your entire army here?" Xuan Lu chuckled.

"Hao Xuan, Jiyang and Yibo are standing outside." Ziyi sobbed.

"Aish...why did you let them stand outside?" Xuan Lu said worriedly. "Ask them to come here. I want to see them."

Jiyang, Yibo, and Hao Xuan were listening to every single word as they kept their ears stuck at the door. No sooner they had heard the words 'I want to see them' than they rushed inside.

"Jiejie..." That's the only word the three of them can say when they saw Xuan Lu. Her condition wasn't that serious, but the juniors were too concerned about her that they started behaving as she had been diagnosed with a serious disease.

"You guys talk to her, I need some fresh air. Excuse me." Zhan said in a serious voice and left the room. Yibo wanted to follow Zhan, but he realized that Zhan needed some privacy. So he didn't disturb him.

Zhan went to the balcony of the hospital and stared at the black sky. The eyes which had tears a moment ago has blazing fire of revenge in them. He slid his hand inside his pocket and fished out the phone. He quickly called Bowen and Yu Bin and asked them to come to the hospital as soon as possible.

Soon Bowen and Yu Bin joined Zhan at the balcony.

"Zhan, do you suspect anyone?" Yu Bin asked, wearing in complete black attire so that he could merge easily with the background during his mission.

"Wen Chao," Zhan replied coldly.

"I guessed it." Bowen snarled. "They can stoop so low!"

"Bowen, don't raise your voice," Zhan said coldly without looking at him. "We are in hospital."

"Your next move?" Yu Bin looked at Zhan, trying to find answers in that cold, expressionless face.

"Find the clues," Zhan said and looked at Yu Bin. "Bowen, hack into their system and find every single detail from their system while Yu Bin and I will search for clues."

"Sure." Bowen nodded his head briefly. "I am leaving then. Take care." Bowen left the hospital building at a fast pace.

"Zhan." Hao Xuan called, catching the attention of Zhan and Yu Bin. "What are you doing here?"

"Hao Xuan, I will be staying at my apartment for a few days. Don't tell Yibo about my apartment. Tell him that I will stay with Yu Bin. Pack all my things from Yibo's house and sent them to my apartment. And yes, take Yibo to your apartment along with Jiyang. Three of you stay together. Ziyi will stay here with shijie."

"What about you Zhan?" Hao Xuan asked worriedly.

"I have to take care of few things. So I will go with Yu Bin." Zhan said. "Don't let anyone target us. Both Jiyang and Yibo are your responsibility. So take care."

"I will Zhan." Hao Xuan said with determination. "Don't worry."

Zhan nodded his head. Later, Zhan and Yu Bin went to see Xuan Lu and told about his plans. Yibo at first opposed the idea, but he couldn't say no to Zhan. So he finally accepted his defeat and decided to stay with Hao Xuan.

After Hao Xuan left with the two, Zhan looked at Ziyi who was still in tears.

"Ziyi, I am going with Yu Bin. Take care of yourself and shijie." Zhan said softly as he sat beside her on the couch. "Call me if you need me, ok?"

"Zhan..." Ziyi looked at Zhan with hope in her eyes. "Please don't take a huge risk for us. You need to stay safe as well."

"I know Ziyi." Zhan let out a deep breath. "Take this." Zhan handed a black thing to Ziyi.

"Zhan!" Ziyi's eyes widened as she recognized the object. "It's a gun!"

"I know," Zhan said calmly. "Keep it with you for protection. I trust you." Zhan looked into her eyes to find the answer.

Ziyi nodded her head and Zhan found what he was looking for. He looked at his sister and smiled before leaving the room.

"Where shall we go first, Zhan?" Yu Bin asked.

"The accident site," Zhan said putting on a black nose mask.
