Happy 50th Chapter!

Finally, we reached the 50th Chapter. It's my second book touching 50th Chapter. If you ask me, how many chapters are there more, then my condition will be like this the image below, because I don't know how many chapters it will take. *scratches head*

Since in this chapter, Zhan and Hao Xuan are going to play badminton matches, so I will be using a lot of terms related to badminton. Please don't get bored because of that.
(Actually, I played badminton a lot when I was young. I started playing badminton when I was 5. At that time, my hands were so smol that whenever I tried to serve the shuttlecock, it never touched the net part of the racket, instead, it used to fall down. Hehe,😅 Even I played tournaments at my school level, so I know a little bit about badminton. And... it's my favorite game as well.)

That day after the games, Zhan strictly forbade Yibo from walking. He even carried Yibo in bridal style to his house and gave piggyback ride when he went to the parking site from the university building. He thought of taking care of Yibo all by himself, but he had a badminton match the next day, as a result, he had to focus on the match as well. So he decided to stay that night at Hao Xuan's place and Jiyang stayed with Yibo while Xuan Lu and Ziyi stayed together.

*At Hao Xuan's residence*

"Zhan, what's going in your mind?" Hao Xuan, who was sitting on his bed asked Zhan as the latter was walking to and fro in the room like a busy bee. "Zhan?" Hao Xuan called again when he received no response. "Master?"

"Hm? Little Devil." Zhan stopped and looked at Hao Xuan only to find the latter smirk.

"Master..." Hao Xuan titled his head while a smirk plastered on his face. "What are you thinking? Don't tell me some twisted things are going on in your mind."

"Twisted things?" Zhan arched his brow as he walked over to Hao Xuan and leaned in towards him keeping a few inches distance between their faces."What do you mean by twisted things?" Zhan smirked.

"Master, you already know." Hao Xuan looked into Zhan's eyes and moved back, allowing Zhan to get into the bed.

"Do you have what I need for tonight?" Zhan wiggled his brows while Hao Xuan smiled showing his sharp canines.

"Yes, Zhan." Hao Xuan replied confidently. "I have everything which my master wants."

Zhan smiled while Hao Xuan stretched his hand to the bedside stand and found the 'essential thing' which Zhan wanted.

"Here you go, ZhanZhan." Hao Xuan said handing the 'essential thing' to Zhan. "This is all you wanted, right?"

"Perfect!" Zhan smiled as he took that thing into his hand. "You are the best Little Devil. From where did you manage to get this pen drive?"

"Isn't it the essential thing which you wanted for tonight?" Hao Xuan chuckled as he took out a few papers from the drawer of the bed stand. "Here, take them."

"Hao Xuan, you are really Mr. Heartbreaker." Zhan smiled and inserted the pen drive into his laptop. "How many girls' hearts did you break to get this information about the Wens team?"

"Not even a single heart." Hao Xuan said proudly. "That girl who accused Jiyang gave all the information about them."

"Are you sure it's reliable?" Zhan looked at Hao Xuan while a frown formed on his face.

"Yes, Zhan." Hao Xuan replied with determination. "I won't let the Wens go. They dared to hurt my Jiyang and your Yibo."

"I know Hao Xuan." Zhan's facial expressions grew colder. "I won't let the Wens go. We need to win the match tomorrow with major points."

That night they kept going through the information in pen drive and spot mist of the weak points of the Wens. It was about 11 pm when they decided to sleep.

*next morning, at the university playground*

Zhan and Hao Xuan were sitting on a bench while waiting for their friends. Zhan and Xuan were discussing their plans about the game when suddenly a pair of soft hands covered both of their eyes.

"Ziyi, I know it's you." Hao Xuan said without touching the hands.

"Yibo darling, first remove your hands from my eyes," Zhan said without moving his hands which rested on his thighs.

Hearing to Zhan's words, Yibo removed his hands and sat beside Zhan while Jiyang removed his hands and glared at his boyfriend. Meanwhile, Xuan Lu and Ziyi joined them.

"So, Zhan, we should count you as winner right?" Ziyi said taking her seat on another bench.

"First of all tell me who let Yibo to come here?" Zhan glared at Jiyang.

"I insisted Jiyang to bring me here." Yibo interrupted as he sensed anger in Zhan's eyes.

"Is your leg fine now?" Zhan asked with a voice full of concern.

"It's fine now. I can even participate in a three-legged race." Yibo said patting his chest.

"Wang Yibo ah Wang Yibo, what made you disobey me, huh?" Zhan leaned towards Yibo. "Don't move hither and thither, otherwise, I will be compelled to punish you."

"Excuse me!" Ziyi snarled. "Can you guys please keep your private talk within yourselves? And Zhan, don't you have to focus on today's win?"

"We have to win for sure." Hao Xuan replied in a low deep voice to which Zhan titled his head while his facial expressions grew into a determined one.

Soon the announcement was done and the badminton match against Gusu Lan University and Quishan University started.

Wen Zhuliu and Wen Enjie took their position in the court while Zhan and Hao Xuan took on another side.

"Little Devil, I am not interested to play three matches," Zhan said spinning his racket. "I want to win the first two matches in a row."

"Master, don't worry." Hao Xuan's eyes scanned the opponent players. "I am not interested to play three matches either."

The Wens took their position in the serving side. So they had to serve the shuttlecock first. No sooner had they served the shuttlecock, Hao Xuan used clear shot and the shuttlecock landed on the baseline of the Wens court, as a result, Hao Xuan scored a point.

(Damn! I cannot use the short form of shuttlecock, otherwise, my sweet readers will pinpoint me about it. Whenever I used to play badminton, I used to use the shot form and now writing the total word makes me somehow tired. Hehe)

The game continued with Zhan's team-leading with 10-0 points. Hao Xuan and Zhan played efficiently using major shots like drop shot, Smash shot, net lift, net kill, etc. Soon Zhan's team won the first match with 20-5 points. After a break of 1 minute, they changed their side of their court and the game started again.

This time Zhan's team served the shuttlecock first. Zhan served the shuttlecock as low badminton serve, making the shuttlecock land just after the short service line. The Wens thought that the shuttlecock won't cross the short service line, so they didn't move their body even an inch. As a result, Zhan scored the first point of the 2nd match. Soon the game started with full swing were Zhan and Hao Xuan used their best shots to continue the game. But what made them spellbound was, the Wens were too playing well.

After a time of 10 minutes, the scores between the teams were 10-10. Hao Xuan changed his strategy and he played drop shots and net kills while Zhan used his infamous jump smash and net shots. But the Wens were using similar ways to defend themselves by using overhead defensive clear and underarm defensive clear shots. After a tough play of 25 minutes, their scores became 20-20 ie game point.

Zhan still had the capacity to play another match while Wens were totally worn out. Wens served carefully in such a way that the shuttlecock passed just above the net and landed on Zhan's service court. Zhan used underarm clear defense.

As a response, Wen Enjie used the overhead defensive clear. But he did a mistake while performing that shot. Taking that advantage, Zhan took a few steps back and used his infamous jump smash, making the shuttlecock land on Wen Zhuliu's head.

No sooner it landed on Wen Zhuliu's head, the entire groundwater filled with screams of girls and boys of Gusu Lan University, indicating the major win of Zhan and Hao Xuan.

Ziyi rushed to Zhan and Hao Xuan with water bottles and towels in her hand. Zhan was breathing heavily, gasping for air while Hao Xuan already laid flat on the badminton court.

"Hao Xuan, sit first." Ziyi chuckled as she handed water to Zhan.

"I cannot..." Hao Xuan struggled to speak. "I have never played such a match before!"

"Hao Xuan..." Jiyang came running and took the towel from Ziyi. He helped Hao Xuan to sit and wiped his sweat, that was dripping down his muscular features.

"Little Devil, you did well." Zhan smiled while drinking his water while Ziyi helped him to wipe his sweat.

"Zhan..." Yibo walked slowly while Xuan Lu supported him. "You won." Yibo hugged Zhan's sweaty body.

"Yibo, I am already drenched in sweat." Zhan tried to break the hug. "I am dirty now."

"I don't care." Yibo broke the hug and held his hands. "Since we don't have any event now, let's go home, hm? Tomorrow Ziyi and jiejie have their events. We need to rest."

Zhan smiled and nodded his head in agreement. Zhan and Hap Xuan went to the changing room and changed their clothes to plain white t-shirts and comfy pants. Then Zhan drove Yibo to the latter's apartment while Hao Xuan and Jiyang went to Jiyang's apartment while the girls went to Xuan Lu's house.

Perhaps it really became boring as I gave too much information about badminton.

Normally badminton matches are played in three sets. One match consists of 3 sets. The team which wins 2 sets will win the match.

Actually what I have written now is what I experienced when I used to play badminton. Once I played in a sports club in my area. There only my friend and I were the only girls while others were boys. So basically only one team was the girls' team while other teams were boys' teams. During the first round, we won the matches with points 21-10 and then 21-14 which was a major win. Later the 2nd round we won with points 21-15 and 21-14. But we lost during semifinals. During that match, the first set was won by my opponent while the second set was on my team. After the second set, both my opponent and my team were so so so tired that we felt that we will die if we don't drink water. Both teams were drenched with sweat, even my hair became wet due to sweat. Then a 1-minute break was given when I drank water. After that tug-of-war match started. After a play of 15 minutes, our scores were 20-20. At that time I was almost running out of breath. I felt like I won't even stand for a few minutes more. Finally, our opponents won the match with the score 25-23. I felt so bad at that time that I even cried. The prize for the winners was a beautiful blue school bag and a pencil box. When I joined the competition, I thought of winning the finals and claiming the bag, but I lost the competition halfway. So I felt really bad at that time, hehe. That's why that match left a deep impact on my mind.
