And so it snowed
and the world sighed as it lay down to rest.

And so it snowed
and the people came together,
to watch the billion shards of sparkling ice drift past their windows.

And so it snowed
and the children threw their hands in the air and laughed the summer away.

And so it snowed

and all the darkness was somehow

at bay.
