"Everyone goes a bit insane sometimes",

You said, eyes glowing by the street lights reflected in your pupils.

Pressing the gas pedal down, making the car match your own purr of excitement,

You said, "everyone needs to live a little", beads on your forehead glittering as the water beneath us.

I hadn't realised you had to end your life to live it

Until you tried to send us off that bridge that day.

I guess you think it was a shame we lived.

But wasn't that the point?

To live a little.
