Brent Williams
Interview # 15
Hello Sir, you can introduce yourself and tell us what's it like be head over forty individuals.
I'm Brent Williams, Alpha of the Blue Crescent Pack. To be the head over so many people can be quite stressful as it comes with a lot of responsibility and demands. However it's as well an honor that so many people have chosen to put their safety and trust in me.
What are some things you have learned over the years of being a alpha?
First and foremost, never take yourself too seriously. You need to learn to laugh at yourself. Well in my case it's been a necessity. My son, Dean, can't take anything seriously and if I wanted any kind of decent relationship with him I heard to learn to deal with his jokes. Patience and kindness can garner obedience a lot easier than violence.
What's the best thing you like about your role?
Getting to interact with my pack on a daily basis. It's why I choose to live in the pack house instead of in my own home.
How do you handle failure?
I'd love to say with grace and maturity but I'll leave that as a goal instead. *laughs* I get angry and frustrated like everyone else but life is what we make of it and I refused to be defined by failure. So when all is said and done I just pick myself up and keep moving.
What motivates you in life?
My family. They keep me going when everything else fails me.
Do you have any pet peeves? If so, what are they?
Usually anything Dean does to purposely annoy me. I also can't stand when someone takes doesn't finish off the orange juice, milk or whatever. They just leave a drop in the jug and leave it there. Who does that?
If you could give advice to upcoming leaders in the world, what advice would you give and why?
To be a leader you need to remember to be strong and true. An alpha is a guardian not a king. The good of the pack must be top priority. A leader or alpha must be fair and just to everyone, even to themselves. A leader or alpha must never compromise their own happiness for the pack or he'll begin to resent them. So mostly balance and well as I said before...a sense of humor always help too.
What does success means to you?
Success is when my pack and family are healthy, happy and safe.
Your fans would like to know: how did you meet your mate, Luna Emily?
I met Emily when I had to the ER because my friend Diego brought a big fat fluffy cat into the pack house. I'm severely allergic and had to go to the hospital. I know a werewolf, an alpha werewolf, allergic to cat dander. How Ironic. Anyways, she had come from the Still Water Pack down in Southeast Louisiana for her residency. I got to be her first patient *grins smugly* though I guess it wasn't the greatest of first impressions now that I think about it.
