Story Blurb

Margo has always dreamed of competing in the Sorcerer's Duels at her university, desperate to prove everyone wrong and become the kind of sorceress her late father used to tell stories about.

But no matter how hard she trains, she's never passed the initiation trials.

When she watches another woman succeed, only to be rejected anyway, Margo begins to question whether the Duels were ever meant for someone like her.

Just as she's ready to give up, a surprising opportunity arises—and with it, an unlikely partnership that rekindles her hope.

With her new teammate by her side, Margo finally earns a place in the legendary Duels. Meanwhile, a frustratingly charming newspaper intern from one of her classes keeps showing up at the worst possible times. As their paths continue to cross and sparks begin to fly, the two uncover troubling secrets beneath the Duels' glittering surface, forcing Margo to rethink what it truly means to prove herself.
