There's not many things I find more annoying on Wattpad than the peculiar fashion of vote for vote. Now comment for comment is fine, but vote for vote is something I will never understand.

Writers like most people on here want to know what people think of their latest work. Comment for comment gives us the feedback we so desperately need. What does vote for vote do? Are we writer or contestants on some tacky reality TV show exchanging votes so one of us wins some awful prize like meeting 1D.

I am a writer with over 10 years of writing experience and a list of titles to my name. I don't care about votes in the slightest. If someone likes the book, I prefer a nice comment instead of a vote. At the end of the day, a vote is worthless. If I get 10000000 votes am I going to win a publishing contract, someone to type up my Vampire novel and edit it so I don't have to? No.
