{I Love You}
Underswap
If you guyz don't know what Underswap is, then... You ain't *trash at all, since Underswap is practically the most popular Undertale AU ever created (based on my own research).
*trash = Undertale Fan
Underswap, known by its name, is where the characters in Undertale's roles are swapped, e.g. Papyrus becomes Sans, Sans becomes Papyrus, Frisk becomes Chara, Chara becomes Frisk, etc.
If ya still don't get what I mean, google is right around the corner!
This oneshot is specially requested by GalaxyLunaMoon, and considering the fact that I call this 'first of firsts'.

“I hate you.” She cried, giving him the darkest expression anyone could ever do.
“I LOVE YOU TOO!” he smiled eagerly, his star-shaped pinpricks lovingly gazed at her stern figure.
“No, Blue. You don’t understand… I. HATE. YOU.” She growled, venom spitting out with every word that comes out of her strong but pained voice.
“YOU ALWAYS SAY THAT EVERY TIME, HUMAN.” He beamed at her goofily, scratching the back of his blue scarf-covered neck.
“Can’t you get the point, bonehead?! I don’t wanna see you anymore! Just the sight of you makes me want to rip that silly smile of yours and burn it down to who knows where! So you better stay away from me, and leave me alone! I don’t want you around me all the time, Blue! I’m tired! Tired of everything.” She screamed, hoping that naïve skull of his could absorb all the darts she’s been giving.
“I-I, DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE SAYING, FRISK.” He spoke a little quietly, slowly taking in everything that she had said. But as he realized what she was about to say, his soul beat faster, wishing what he just heard wasn’t true.
She, on the other hand, couldn’t help but break in a verge of tears, but she tried her best to hold it back inside. Just the sound of her name coming out of his permanent grin made her heart break and cry, wanting to run up to him for a comforting embrace, yet she held back.
“W-we’re…” she paused between shaky breaths.
“We’re over, Sans.”
________________________________
Days had turn to weeks, yet the memory of being dumped by his girlfriend pained his very soul. He couldn’t believe that a very day like that would even muster up to come out and ruin everything he had worked hard to claim.
He really thought everything was… okay. That he finally made the usually grouchy human happy all day long. She may look at other people with so much hatred, but it seemed whenever he’s around her, it made her laugh and smile all day, like he was the best thing that ever comes to her. He was the only one who could do that to her.
A year… Was all that it took him to get this far.
A year… He had been together with the girl he loved the most.
He would even sacrifice his dream to become a Royal Guard if it meant being with his human.
What… happened?
Why did all of a sudden, she… changed her view? Did he do something wrong?
The same questions haunted him every day and every night, it’s a wonder he didn’t get crazy. Though Papyrus stated he is for all the nights he’d be seen crying and sleepless, the only thing that really seemed to change in his lifestyle is the fact that he was still cheerful and energetic, despite succumbing from his thoughts of Frisk.
Did she hate him? He knew she’d always say that in a way of telling him she loves the skeleton, but this time, it’s different.
It sounded… real, as much as he hated it to be.
Wait, he hated it?
NO, SHE STILL LOVES ME… WOWZERS, I MUST BE GOING INSANE!
“eh, bro?” a voice asked, snapping his trailing mind back to reality. He jerked his skull to look at his tall brother who sat at the end of their wooden table in the kitchen.
“YES, BROTHER?”
“ya might wanna look at what ya’re slicing.”
Blueberry gave him a look of confusion before looking down at the knife he was holding. He was supposed to slice a piece of lettuce (Reminds me of something…) for the tacos he was making, but instead, he seemed to be slicing his own bony fingers, missing the said vegetable. Luckily, he is a skeleton, so it didn’t went through, just rubbing its sharp edges through the soft ivory surface of his phalanges.
He then quickly took his hand away, proceeding on chopping the vegetables, before chuckling nervously, “I GUESS I WASN’T LOOKING.”
“ya guessed? blue, ya clearly weren’t looking! ya were thinking about that bratty she-demon again!”
“DON’T CALL HER THAT, PAPYRUS!” he scolded, still defending his human even though they weren’t together anymore.
“i can’t help it, sans. ya’ve been thinking about her every day, and I’m just worried for ya, bro.” Papyrus shrugged in concern. Blue, however, smiled at his brother, appreciating his worry.
“DO NOT WORRY, DEAR BROTHER! NOTHING THE MAGNIFICENT SANS CAN’T HANDLE.” He cheered happily, though masking the sadness through his wide everlasting grin. But he knew he couldn’t fool his older brother with his supposedly childish antics, so he only continued to chop, hoping it could stop the skeleton’s sympathetic stare.
“ya’re not okay. ya should’ve listened to me in staying away from her, but ya didn’t. ya’ve grown too attached to her, now this happened. this is all her fault, i should’ve blasted her away when i got the chance—“
“THIS ISN’T HER FAULT!” Blue suddenly interrupted, harshly setting down the knife to glare at his brother, “NONE OF THIS IS! IT WAS ALL MY FAULT, I SHOULD’VE ASKED HER BEFORE IF ANYTHING WAS WRONG, BUT I DIDN’T! I WAS TOO SELFISH TO THINK THAT I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO COULD MAKE HER HAPPY, BUT LOOK… I MADE HER ANGRY!” he sighed, breaking into tears as the feeling of tiredness drowned him in, “I made her angry.” He softly sobbed, which surprised Papyrus to actually hear his brother mutter quietly.
Guilty, the taller skeleton approached his sorrowful little (Sans: this may be in another au, but this is just too much!?) brother, embracing him in a brotherly comfort.
“i-i’m sorry, blue. i didn’t mean to upset ya this way. i just… wanted to help.” he frowned.
“IT’S REALLY ALRIGHT, BROTHER.” Sans pulled away, looking up to smile at his brother reassuringly, “I KNOW, YOU WERE JUST WORRIED, BUT DON’T BE. I’M FINE, I JUST THINK… I SHOULD’VE JUST GAVE HER SPACE BACK THEN.”
“ya know… I know this would sound bad, but I think ya should let go. Forget her for once, it’s only pulling ya down, and it’s not really healthy for ya. I’m concerned about ya, bro.” he advised ‘as-a-matter-of-factly’.
“THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONCERN AND WISE HEED, BROTHER.” The shorter skeleton shrugged as he smiled, “BUT WISH NOT TO FORGET HER ANYTIME SOON, OR ANYTIME AT ALL. I LOVE HER TOO GREATLY, SORRY.”
“suit yourself.” Papyrus only sighed in defeat, returning back at his seat, only for him to stand once more after hearing the doorbell ring. The two gave one knowing glance and decided to check on whoever was at the door.
“chara? what are ya doin here, kid?” he asked, gesturing the human girl to enter.
She took off her brown leather snow boots and red scarf as she went inside to be welcomed by the warmth the skeleton brothers’ house gave. She plopped down their green couch and sighed.
“It’s about Frisk.”

Gusts of wind gently swooped to a soft breeze as perfectly-shaped snowflakes fell down from the sky to the snowy atmosphere around her. Holding out her lavender mitten-covered hands, there she attempted to catch a tiny sparkling snowflake. She lets out a sigh, cold mists of cloud-like puffs coming out of her soft pink lips. Everything was peaceful.
Everything, except for her daunting mind.
Sitting down the blankets of snow that covered the forests of Snowdin, her crimson red eyes gazed at the horizon before her, her thoughts travelling to a completely different trance.
“Everything all right, sis?” a soft and gentle voice asked, breaking her slightly dazed expression.
“Yeah heck, it’s alright!” she shrugged nervously, trying to hide the fact that she was crying. But as she was about to turn to look at her red-haired sister, her face met with a hard but cushioned impact. A pillow.
“Pillow fight!” Chara giggled excitedly, throwing more of the soft cushions at the now surprised human. She smirked at her evilly.
“Oh~ You asked for it!” Frisk exclaimed, hitting her back with a pillow, “You defenseless little brat! Come here!?” she shouted, as her sister only laughed, running around the room for her to chase. As the pillow fight continued on with Chara tickling Frisk down to her last breath, they came to a halt due to exhaustion.
“I… won!” she panted, throwing a victorious fist pump in the air.
“No fair! This is supposedly a pillow fight, not a tickle session?!” groaned Frisk in defeat.
“Everything’s fair in love and war, Frisk. You should know that by now.”
“Ha! I’ll get you next time, you’ll see.” She grinned competitively. Silence continued for the next two minutes as they catch their breaths. So at that moment, Frisk was able to forget the earlier incident with Blue, but not until…
“I noticed you avoiding Blue all day. Did something happened?”
She flinched at her words, sighing, “That’s none of your business.”
Chara’s expression became serious, “It is, since you’re my sister. Now tell me what’s going on?”
“I don’t want to, you little nosy twerp!” although she sounded defensively threatening, she knew too well her sister could see her through.
“Ok, then. There’ll be no more chocola—“
“We broke up.” Frisk softly interrupted in defeat for two reasons; one, for her sister’s incredible Determination to keep meddling with other people’s lives, and two, she’d definitely can’t survive without eating chocolate. I mean, seriously, who couldn’t?
“W-wha? But… You love each other! You’re supposed to be meant for each other. Why would yo—“
“I hate him! So could you please just stop, and leave me alone!?” she growled, then sighed heavily in frustration, “Y’know what? I’ll just have some fresh air!” she grumpily exclaimed, quickly suiting herself in a brown winter coat, lavender mittens, and headed out to stroll down the forests of Snowdin.
Why can’t people just leave her be? After all, she did nothing to deserve the kindness they’re all giving. For all she knew, she was a killer. A murderer. A fricking reaper. Yet here she stood, rich with love from the two persons she loved the most, which also came out to be the two very persons who suffered the most because of her stupid acts of Genocide.
Why can’t they just act like that fricking smoke belching trashbag? And anyways, his glares aren’t even enough to satisfy her guilt. She knew she deserved more than glares, more than bones and blasters. More than death!
Her gaze landed on the frozen lake beside her. There she was face-to-face with her own reflection through the gleaming transparent ice. She laughed at it like it was the funniest thing she’s ever seen.
“Ha! Look at yourself, you ugly whore! You think you even deserved a second chance with all things that you have done? With every single monster you have killed? I don’t think so, you fricking murderer! You’re nothing but a hopeless britch, ya hear me?!” she panted, tired of screaming her heart out as she laughed a bit maniacally.
Recalling her current actions, she couldn’t help but giggle at how funny she seemed to act. Not in a crazed manner, no. Just thinking of herself acting weirdly such as talking to herself, made her forget things a little.
“YoU dO LoOk fUnNy.” A frighteningly familiar glitched-out voice giggled crazily. Instantly, she was on her fighting stance, quickly holding out her hidden knife that she kept in case of emergencies. Like this one.
“Who’s there?” she cried threateningly, not seeming to be daunted by the voice, but deep inside, she was totally afraid. She knew too well whose voice it was, and she didn’t like the sounds of her.
Hesitantly, she looked down her at her reflection to see it phase into what seem like a HATE-infested version of herself, the very one that haunted her thoughts every single day.
The figure shot her a smile through her black-liquid filled mouth, her empty eye holes flowing with the same liquid down to drip to her black-stained blue and purple sweater.
“YoU aRe.”

“WHAT ABOUT HER? IS SHE ALRIGHT? IS SHE SICK? WHAT HAPPENED TO HER?” Blueberry hurriedly asked his human friend in utmost panic, it’s as if he was going to have a heart attack if anything happens to Frisk. MY FRISK.
“Woah, relax, Blue. Nothing’s wrong, it’s just that… I’m worried about her.” She softly explained, sadly looking down at the ground below.
“I know something has been bothering her these past weeks, I even caught her crying once. Naturally, I’d ask, but when she’d refuse to answer dismissively, of course I didn’t push further, knowing what she’s capable of doing. Then I’ve thought of a plan to just make her spill the beans, and it worked!”
She frowned, remembering the earlier incident, “She said you guys broke up. Why?”
“I ACTUALLY DON’T KNOW, HUMAN. SHE JUST SUDDENLY BECAME ANGRY AT ME FOR TELLING HER THAT I LOVED HER.” Said Blue in hurtful sorrow, “I WISH TO KNOW WHAT IS THE MATTER.”
“We need to know what’s wrong. Blue, we have to.”
“I’M AFRAID SHE HATES ME.” He admitted as much as he hated to.
“No, she doesn’t! She loves you! She loves you more than you could possibly imagine. I think she’s doing it all for a reason, which unfortunately, we don’t know.” She sighed in irritation before perking up, “She went out to the woods to freshen out, ‘cause I kinda upset her earlier for being too nosy. We’ve got to find her to settle things out.” She suggested, standing up to prepare her leave.
“I’M WITH YOU, HUMAN!” he cheered, excitedly springing up beside her, “ARE YOU COMING, BROTHER?”
“nah. don’t wanna get chilled to the bone just by looking for that ungrateful brat.” Papyrus shrugged, winking at the now giggling Chara, who seemed to get his pun. Blue, on the other hand, practically screamed in annoyance.
“BROTHER, I’LL DISOWN YOU!”
________________________________
“Where is she? She could be anywhere in this forest!” exclaimed Chara, her worry for her sister growing heavier with ever crunching step they took on the cold snow beneath their boots.
“FEAR NOT, HUMAN! FOR WE, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE GLAMOROUS ME, WILL FIND HER!”
“There!” she yelled, pointing towards the hint of brown and blue that was seen from a distance afar. Sure enough, there was Frisk, her chocolate brown shoulder-length hair flowing with the soft breezing wind as she seemed to look at her own reflection.
They hid behind one of the tall dark pine trees, watching her every move, not in a creepy way, of course, but in a concerned manner.
Soon enough, their worry grew even more as soon as she spoke things about herself, bad things. Blueberry couldn’t help but feel uneasy when she mockingly laughed at her own reflection all of a sudden, as if she was abusing herself. She halted to silence, deep in thought.
I WONDER WHAT SHE’S THINKING…
Moments later, he heard the most genuinely angelic laughter softly echoing through the woods. He looked back at his human, who was giggling, surprisingly, not in a maniacal way.
His soul beat faster at the sound of her jolly state. He yearned for her for so long, he wanted to join in with her, laughing alongside the human girl. Her laughter only made his soul ache to run and scoop her up to an embrace.
“She looked so happy…” smiled Chara, holding back a tear that threatened to come down, “I’ve never thought I’d see the day.”
That’s it.
“SHE’S HAPPY! I WANT TO JOIN HER!” he giddily beamed, standing up to make a run for it.
“Then go! Be with her.” Urged the human beside him, quickly shoving him to go. He ran swiftly, the sight of her giggling figure coming near into view.
SHE’S HAPPY, OH LOOK SHE IS! SHE DOESN’T HATE ME… ANYMORE…?
He stopped on his tracks, as he was only a meter away from her. He gazed at his human with emotions of pure happiness, and sadness. He thought of how happy she was this time. Without him by her side. She was all alone.
GIVE HER SPACE.
And he did. He smiled proudly at Frisk, who of course couldn’t see since her back was facing towards him. He let out the brightest smile he could ever muster up, before quietly walking back to Chara, her face with pure shock and confusion to his sudden arrival.
“Why did you stop? Don’t you want to be around her?” she asked, disappointed.
His reply, however, shocked and made her feel proud all at the same time for the skeleton, “SHE LOOKS VERY HAPPY. EVEN HAPPIER WITHOUT ME. I WOULD DO ANYTHING JUST TO MAKE SURE THAT SMILE OF HERS STAY, EVEN IF IT MEANT NOT BEING BY HER SIDE ANYMORE. I CAN UNDERSTAND THAT.”
“Looks like Blueberry’s growing up so fast. I’m proud!” she said, pretending to wipe off a tear, “Now, let’s give her some space and head home, shall we?”
He nodded in approval, but as they were about to walk back to the skelebrothers’ house, a loud and pained cry was heard, followed by a sudden thud, which made the two worriedly whip around to look at the other direction. Frisk was laid flat on the snow, seeming to tremble uncontrollably.
“HUMAN!” he yelled in concern, as he and Chara ran for her. As soon as Frisk looked up to see them darting towards her, her heart raced in an unbelievable speed of terror. Her red eyes showed great fear for the two.
“S-stay away!” she barked, hoping they’d stop their tracks. They halted for a moment, but only for a moment before deciding to continue helping as fast as they can.
“Frisk, what happened?!” Chara exclaimed, holding on to her sister. She felt the rise of her soul’s beating as soon as she realized the state this brunette was in.
There were smudges of black liquid smeared around her fairly pale complexion, just as the same substance was seen blotted on her sweater. HATE, the mahogany-haired human thought in horror.
“Go away, before—“, but as Frisk was about to finish, she let out a tight wheeze, indicating a stinging pain surging through her body. They could only watch in fright as the Hate substance slowly consumed her well-being, some of it slowly oozing from her pale pink lips, and black-stained eyes.
“Frisk… Who do you hate? Who did you hate that caused you this much pain?” frowned Chara, still hugging her sister in concern.
“IT’S ALL MY FAULT. IF ONLY I KNEW SOONER, THEN I WOULD’VE JUST STAYED AWAY. UGH! WHY AM I SO NAÏVE TO NOTICE THAT? I’M SUCH A FOOL, AND NOW… FRISK’S HATE TOWARDS ME ONLY PAINED HER!” Sans oh so suddenly exclaimed, putting his blue-gloved hands to his face, and throwing insults of how dumb he is towards himself.
“N-no…” her voice hoarse and weak due to her current state, it pained their souls to see her like this.
“P-please…” she said with begging eyes, as she handed them the knife she held, “Kill me, before it’s too late.”
“Why?” his voice ran dry to a surprised mutter.
“I don’t hate you, Sans.”
He gaped at her, bewildered. Never, did this human once admitted that she didn’t hate him, though he already knew what it meant for her to say ‘I hate you’. It kind of want him to take her in his arms for safe keeping in a loving way, and he did just that.
“I know that, human.” He retorted softly behind her ear.
“I’m sorry about dumping you. I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings. I just wanted to protect you, thinking it’s for the best… It’s not you or Chara that I hate. I just… Hate myself.” The brunette gave Blue a forced sad smile despite being consumed by Hate. It only, however, made things worse, actually, making tears fall down from his smooth ivory skull.
“You hate yourself?” he asked, seeming hurt by the fact that the woman he thought to be perfect than anyone would be able to feel disgusted of her own self.
“I didn’t want to hit you, kill you. I killed every single monster in about fifteen timelines in a row. But… Killing you hurts me worse than letting Chara suffer into my own bloody hands.” She whimpered, not bothering to gaze at the skeleton in front of her.
“You’ve always believed in me to be good back then. To change. I know you’re addressing Chara with that matter, thinking she was the one doing it herself, but it felt that it was directed towards me. But I didn’t listen, and then you end up without a skull, hurting that giant trashbag’s feelings. I couldn’t bear to live a single day being with you with the same memory replaying inside my mind every single second.
I don’t deserve this. I don’t deserve you. I don’t deserve aNyThInG!” she suddenly screamed in pure hatred, black substances oozing rapidly through her hallow eyes, dimly lit with a crimson glow.
“Frisk. Stop hating yourself. It’ll get worse.” Chara ushered quietly in worry.
“WhY WoUlD yOu EvEn CaRe?! CaN’t AnY oF yOu GeT iT aLrEaDy? I hAtE yOu!” Frisk growled, struggling wildly from their tight grip.
THIS ISN’T FRISK. IT’S THE HATE THAT IS CONSUMING HER. The hate she had for herself.
“WE CARE FOR YOU, FRISK. CHARA LOVES YOU. EVERYONE DOES. I LOVE YOU!” he exclaimed, braver than before to admit willingly, as the stars in his pupils sparkled in pure affection.
“HUMAN, YOU MAY HAVE DONE ANYTHING WRONG IN THE PAST, BUT LIKE I SAID. IT’S ALL IN THE PAST, IT DIDN’T MATTER! WHAT MATTERED IS THAT YOU BELIEVED IN ME, LIKE HOW I DID TO YOU, AND THUS, YOU BELIEVED IN YOURSELF TO CHANGE INTO THE ONE I KNEW TO BE THE STRONGEST AND NICEST… SECOND NICEST PERSON I HAVE EVER MET. YOU GAINED THE STRENGTH AND EVERYTHING THAT IT TAKES FOR YOU TURN INTO THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE—NO! THE REAL YOU.
THE INNOCENT HUMAN I ONCE KNEW THEN, AND TODAY.
I ADMIRE HOW YOU WERE CAPABLE AND HIGHLY DETERMINED TO GO BACK THE WAY YOU USED TO BE, EVEN IF YOU KNEW PEOPLE WON’T SEE YOU LIKE HOW THEY DID BEFORE, BUT YOU STILL DID.
FRISK, THERE IS A REASON WHY ONE LOVES ANOTHER, BUT I COULDN’T REALLY EXPLAIN WHY I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. I DON’T REALLY KNOW IF IT’S BECAUSE OF THE THINGS I HAVE SAID EARLIER, OR SOMETHING ELSE. ALL I KNOW IS THAT I LOVE YOU.
I LOVE YOU, HUMAN FRISK…” he sighed, caressing his phalanges on both sides of her cheeks. The girl couldn’t help but weep, her soul touched by his words of love, translucent liquid replacing all Hate-infested substance. She fluttered her crimson red orbs shut, and this worried the poor skeleton greatly.
IS SHE… He grimaced at the thought.
That was, until she let out a calming whisper, uttering three words he never expected for her to say.
“I love you."

Once again, I'm very sorry GalaxyLunaMoon for this coming out late and if it didn't reach up to your expectations.
I really feel that this one kinda looked rushed if I might say so, I mean, this was written two times in a row in a day already, so you could say it's rushed.
