{Please... Heal Her! II}

A/n: Marhaban, pinksterz!💕

Mine, and Only Mine is the most awaited oneshot requested heavily by the Key Masters. Ranking beside it in equal comparison, they also chose to request... Using their key to unlock the part two of Please... Heal Her!

Yes. This oneshot wasn't supposed to be here, as to there were already oneshots in line before this one, but because one of the Key Masters added this option, and that it reminded me that I have already finished writing part two ever since finish writing the part one of this sequel, I decided... hehe, why not?

Friends...

Such a nice word to both of them. Although a slight hit was felt inside those glowing souls of theirs, it was nice to hear that things are going pretty well between our two protagonists.

A lot of things have changed ever since the day they got along with each other... too well.

Instantly, the two became the best of friends. Frisk doesn't feel so lonely anymore. Although he'd only come during the afternoon, she was still glad he became her companion. Changing him was way too easy.

Easy to be true, that is.

The patient thought her doctor fully changed to a whole new person, but no. Blinded by how bright his smile could get whenever she's around him, in the eyes of the outside world, however, he did not. To them, he was still the cruel, arrogant, and stone-hearted surgeon they all once and will ever know.

He didn't care of how they'd think of him. Whatever she sees in him is all that matters to him. As long as he sees that bright smile of hers that could melt his soul all day, everything would reverse, turning his world upside down.

He couldn't help but smile at all the times they had spent together in the hospital. There are times when only he and she can be seen sitting side by side, laughing, chatting, eating... Those were the times he was happiest.

"Sans! You're spilling them!" she scolded in horror, seeing him trying to break an egg while failing to land the goop in the mixing bowl. He chuckled, hearing her angelic voice say his name. Only she had the right to call him that way, he thought.

They were both at the Isolation Area's deserted cafeteria. Despite the gloomy ambience the abandoned kitchen gave, the sounds of their laughter echoing through the walls helped lighten it up. They were baking pies. Well, tried to, without destroying the kitchen.

"Geez, sorry Ms. Mercy. Didn't know cracking an egg could be this eggs-hausting." He laughed, as Frisk only shrugged, huffing, "You're making things eggs-acerbate!"

"Well you should've warned me that this will be eggs-treme. I should've been eggs-tra careful then."

"Then stop being an egg-head and start cracking those eggs!"

"Eggs-actly!"

He chuckled, reminiscing a memory. She was the only one who got to his humerus side, heh. All because of having a funny bone herself. And now, look at him. Sure he'd dash into the operation area for his emergency surgical missions, but not as fast as he'd zoom towards Patient #25's ward just to see her greeting him happily again.

But time flies by, and as the ticking of the clock gets louder every second, he eventually grew tired of this 'friend' game. He didn't want to be friends with her, no, it was far worse.

He wanted better.

He wanted her, oh how he couldn't get over with it. Back then, a slight playful punch in the arm, a stare, or even just laugh was nothing, but now? He'd flinch, he'd cringe, he'd fluster. Yes, you hear me, fluster. Turned to a blueberry sitting on top of a vanilla ice cream sundae.

A tingling feeling was always present whenever she's around.

"Sans." a voice called out, but unfortunately, he was too busy daydreaming about life and stuff that you know.

"Sans?" it went on.

"Dr. Sans!" it barked, catching his attention to the tall skeleton at the other end of the long conference table. The said skeleton adjusted his own white lab coat, his white pinpricks held inside the dark eye sockets of his black-marked skull sternly gazing at him. Our surgeon here, only hummed in response.

"I see you came back to us, now I'd be repeating with my statement. The board is counting on you to be in charge of this week's medical mission in the Middle East (Can't really think of a specific place!). Can you do it?" he asked out of annoyance.

"I can." He replied rather hesitantly. I mean, come on! A week out of country without seeing Frisk (Le gasp! Can you handle such torture, Sans?)? But in the end, there's nothing he can do. It's his job after all.

The time has come to do the usual visit to Patient #25's ward. He ordered Nurse Sheena to handle more paperwork, as the sly nurse only gave him a teasing smirk, immediately understanding this little game of his. He only shrugged, grabbing the small shopping bag found right at the side of the doorway, before dashing out to his last appointment of the day.

Walking in, he stood there, secretly smiling at the busily reading patient who sat on top of her hospital bed. He gave the table beside him a little knock, alerting the girl to look up to see the grinning doctor.

She instantly beamed, "Sans!" she'd always greet every day, which on his response, a wide smile plastered in his face.

"Hey there, bud." He replied, walking towards her, "Got something for you." He stated, handing her the small white bag. She excitedly rummaged through it to find a small simply designed white book entitled, The Great Gatsby. Her eyes widened in pure delight, running her fingers through the book.

"The Great Gatsby? I've been wanting to read this since back in high school! But these days, it's pretty difficult to find one. How did you manage to get it?"

"I have my own ways." He winked.

She quickly embraced the unsuspecting skeleton, his cheekbones forming a light blue hue in surprise.

"Thank you!" she squealed, pulling away from the hug.

"Don't mind it." He shrugged before hesitating to give her news, "I got you that book so you won't get bored in these days."

"Why would I? You're always here anyways." She smiled, but suddenly grew worried. What does he mean by that?

"Oh nothing. Just the board sending me to the Middle East for our emergency medical mission." He sighed.

"Oh." She realized understandingly, "So you won't be here for the next week?" she asked, as he nodded in response.

"I understand. You should go. I mean, it's your job after all. It's more important."

"You're more important!" he bluntly corrected. After a couple of seconds of realization, they both blushed at his sudden strange retort. "I mean, I---"

"No it's okay. I'll be fine, so don't worry." She reassured, trying to hide her flustered face.

"You... you won't mind?"

"I won't. Now go, hurry up and pack!" she ushered, playfully nudging him.

"Nah. I'm too lazy to the bone."

"Come on you, bonehead! Get up." She said, standing up in an attempt to pull him.

"Try me."

"You dare?" she laughed, pulling him up. But as she was about to pull further, a strange surge of pain was felt pounding through her chest. Her soul... it hurts. Not again! She winced a little, trying to hide the pain, accidentally dropping him back on the bed.

"Hey! What gives?" he laughed, but stopped after noticing her flinch a bit, her hand balled to a fist, trembling. He frowned worriedly.

"Does something hurt?"

"N-no!" she slightly gasped, standing upright, "I'm fine, see?" she beamed, holding her hands sideward as she twirled around to assure him.

"Oh, right. I forgot to do a check-up on you! This will be quick."

"Okay."

"Is there any change? Difficulties? Pain? Bruises? Anything?" he asked.

My soul hurts, at times it gets difficult to breath, my daily routine suddenly changed to just staying on bed? As much as she wanted to tell him the truth, worrying him was the last thing she wanted. So instead, nodding her head no, which only hurt her soul even more to lie about such important facts.

"That's great! Well now that it's done, best be going right?" he pointed, while she only smiled cheerfully in agreement. But as he was about to stand up, he felt something soft peck his cheekbone, which turned to a dark shade of blue as he looked back to see a tomato-faced Frisk. She softly squeaked, hiding under the blankets.

He chuckled nervously at the sudden action, "W-well. I b-better go!" he stammered, a bit quicker in his walking pace.
