{The Formula Of Love}

Sciencetale

To those who do not know; Scientale is an AU, where the timeline takes place either before the war or the war never happened at all in the first place (I don't have the most specific info about Sciencetale, sorry.), therefore, the characters were on the Surface at this time. It mainly portrays the life of the royal scientists of monsterkind; Dr. WingDing Gaster, Dr. Alphys, and Dr. Sans.

Since it was unclear that the war was not present, Frisk does not exist in this AU.

However, since this is obviously a fricking Frans book, and to Frans shippers out there, people sometimes includes Frisk. And as obvious as it sounds, of course, I'll include Frisk (as a female) in this oneshot, obviously. (*Adding the word 'obvious' to my list of flip words)

I really love this AU, the problem with it, however, is that from all oneshots and stories alike that I have red about it, is starting to sound cliche from all the redundantly repetitive use of theme. So in short, this one gave me a lot of trouble as to how am I supposed to write a unique, non-cliche story?

That's the reason why it took me long enough to publish this. This got me all stumped like how physics should be! XD

I mean, I love Sciencetale, not because of Frans, no, but because of my dear darling Gaster.💕

Anyways, sadly, like all other Sciencetale stories, Gaster will be a big goof-off here, so stay calm, and stay patient, pinksterz!💕

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

It was just another day in the laboratory. Through the white-coated metallic walls of the corridors of a familiar three-story orange building, entering through specific glass doors, and into an area filled with various flasks, beakers, screens, paper, and contraptions, we witness a rather unusual occurence that may twist our thoughts of this day as 'just another'.

Inside, it was dimmer than usual, and a short skeleton sat timidly on one of the tables, as he was being interrogated by the head scientist of their department, his yellow reptile lab assistant, though trembling for her nature of being awkward and modest, managed to give him a look of suspicion and curiosity, her suspecting eyes hidden behind flashing round-brimmed spectacles, like what we usually watch in anime does. He nervously tugged the sleeve of his white lab coat, eyeing the taller skeleton in terror.

And what was he accused of, you ask?

What made him so goosey all of a sudden, that practically sent him sweating up a storm, and grew goosebumps all over, though he did not have the skin to plant it with?

We'll soon find out as we listen to the current conversation they are having.

"You say, the symptoms seemed alarmingly questioning, is that right, Dr. Sans?" The taller skeleton asked in clarification, his beady crystal white pinpricks piercing through Dr. Sans' own, as the reptile beside him jolted down notes in unidentifiable speed.

"yes."

"And that you seem to clearly feel, and at the same time, hear the sudden rapid pulse of your heart beat?" He once again, asked, leaning closer to the trembling skeleton, his round-holed phalanges placed on either side of the table Sans sat on as he did.

"y-yeah."

"And you have this fever that you kept withstanding all day and night, is that true?"

"a really high fever!" He corrected.

"Right."

"Y-you also s-stated to have an e-eventual allergic response that d-d-did not have before?" The petite scientist suddenly spoke up, slightly surprising the two for her break of silence.

"yes."

"And all th-this response, th-that included all m-mentioned symptoms, including d-dramatic increase of t-t-temperature only occurs w-when you're with..."

"Dr. Mercy?" The two scientists chorused at the same time, each raising an accusing eyebrow. The poor skeleton shrank further on the table, startled.

"y-yes?" He managed to squeak out.

The slender scientist hummed in retort, backing away with the palm of his hand placed under his chin in thought. His assistant couldn't help but cross her arms, her eyes scanning anywhere but him, seeming to look uncomfortably tense.

"This looks severe." He finally announced.

"i-it's is?" Asked Dr. Sans, fear swelling up from every bone in his foundation.

"Well, by the sound of your symptoms, it's no doubt it could be bad... or worse, if not attended immediately."

"like how worse?"

"Like 'I'm-gonna-have-a-soul-attack' worse."

"was it because of my unhealthy ketchup diet, or oversleeping?"

"It could be that... but your symptoms concludes something else."

"just tell me i'm dying..."

"Abnormal rapid pulse of heartbeat. Fever. Allergic reactions. All of these, because of one person..." he paused dramatically, before continuing, his eye sockets devoid of light and emotion, "This is the overall recipe for an extreme chemistry. This is the formula of... love." He smirked teasingly, just as his shorter apprentice tried to muffle a small hint of laughter as well.

"love? but that's impossible. the formula of love is created genetically by enraged substance of hate, strong forces of magic, and deter--" he halted, interrupted by the giggle the yellow reptile gave out.

"O-oh, Sans! Y-you're just so d-dense and naïve. Th-that's cute!" She cried, unable to hold her chortles any longer.

"what? what did i say?"

"It's called love, not LOVE, you dunderhead!" The head scientist groaned, flicking his finger on the other skeleton's forehead.

"i can't catch where ya're getting me at." He said, rubbing his forehead as he did.

"S-sans, you're in l-love!" The stuttering scientist exclaimed, sighing.

"what?!"

"It's normal. We all get to experience this stage. Ah, I could still remember the time I felt the same way towards your mother." The taller skeleton smiled, remembering a certain scene, before gazing back at his dazed son, patting his shoulders in kudos, "I'm proud of you, son. You're a grown-up man now. Be happy for yourself!"

"eh?" Unable to process the given words, he turned back to the dinosaur, still holding a bewildered expression, "a-alphys?"

"Dr. G-gaster is right, S-sans. Don't worry, this i-is all just n-normal." She laughed, "I-I just can't believe, y-you actually h-h-have feelings for Frisk!" She squealed in delight right after.

"first of all, no! i don't have 'feelings' for her." Sans suddenly denied in defense, not noticing an unfamiliar blue hue escaping from both his cheekbones.

"Aww~" cooed Dr. Alphys, clasping her clawed hands together dreamily, "He's in d-denial!"

"That's what I also said to his mother when I first acted this way."

"stop it! second, how is this even considered severe?"

"Well... If you don't tell her your feelings now, you may die from desperation, or experience something worse; once if it's too late, rejection."

"that's it? ya said, it would be 'i'm-gonna-have-a-soul-attack' worse!"

"That's right. Once you get rejected of your affections, you'll definitely have a soul attack." Dr. Gaster pointed out 'as-a-matter-of-factly'.

"That's w-why you have t-to tell her n-n-now!" Suggested the petite apprentice in excitement.

"i told ya before, and i tell ya right now. it ain't happenin', i don't have affections for her, and i won't have a stupid soul attack! we're just friends, for goodness' sake!" Yelled the short scientist, holding everything back.

"For three years? Sans, it's not possible for you not having feelings for your own apprentice for that long time. Especially when you see each other twenty-four seven. There's nowhere to run now."

At a moment, he was silent at first, convincing himself that just like before, he did not have any sort of special expressions for anyone at all. But after considering the symptoms, and the way he placed Frisk on top of all, he couldn't help but agree, and believe his father.

Maybe he's right. Maybe I do have feelings for her.

"a'ight." He sighed in defeat, "ya win, ya caught me." His two colleagues' eyes widened to the fact that they have actually got this one right. It's as if they have found one of the Earth's most surprising discoveries.

"so, when do i begin?" He asked nervously, "to be honest, i'm quite scared of being rejected, ya know."

"I'm surprised you missed a punny oppurtunity on that line, son." Gaster smirked deviously, only for it to widen to a much more mischievous grin, one can find as evil, "But I think you may start now."

"w-what?" Before he could completely process what was going on, he felt a small gentle tap on his shoulder, making him shudder from its touch.

"Sorry I'm late, Dr. Sans." A soft melodic voice spoke up from behind him, his cheekbones bursting with cyan hues. He turned around to see his young chestnut brown-haired assisstant, her squinted shutted eyes gazing at his icy white ones. How he wished he could see through those fairly pale eyelids of hers to see how her orbs looked like.

Would they be as enchanting as her majestic self right now? Or not? Whatever it may be, he promised to accept her just the same.

"Dr. Sans? Sans, is something wrong?" She asked once more, her face now held a worried look of concern.

How he loved the way she says his na-- wait, was he staring there the whole time? Shit, shit, shit!

"i, uh... yeah, i'm perfect! i think." He stammered nervously, gazing anywhere but her, his cheekbones now beholding fifty shades of blue.

"Are you sure? Are you still having those fevers?" She asked, her hand reaching out to feel his forehead, only for his own phalange to hold it, stopping her from doing so. Releasing her, he sighed heavily.

"no, it's fine, really!"

"If you say so then. But if not, I'm here, or better with Dr. Gaster treating you, since he's your father after all."

Yeah, like he'd even care treating me...

Speaking of which, where's the two-- He turned his skull back to see Alphys already out the door, Dr. WindDing Gaster following right after. And just as he was about to close the door, he softly cackled, "Nowhere to run~" he sing-songed, as a 'click' was heard right after, signalling a lock.

Why that dirty shit frick!

Seeing there literally is nowhere to run, he shakily suggested, gesturing at the tables as he did.

"w-why don't we s-start on our project, eh?" He stammered, cursing under his breath for sounding like his father's lab assisstant.

"Oh, sure!" She gleamed, heading to the flask compartment.

"w-what are we workin' on again?"

"You forgot?" She asked, her hand reaching for a flask, "We were supposed to be furtherly analyzing the deeper substances of the mysteriously wrathful formula of LOVE."

"d-did ya just say formula of love?"

Really? From all projects they had done so far, it has to be this one. Great...

"Yeah, is there something wrong about it?" She asked once more, ignorantly innocent to the previous conversation she did not take part in.

"no! nothing's wrong. let's just continue." He breathed uneasily, sweat flowing fast down his skull as he wore his lab goggles and gloves.

The whole afternoon went totally silent, awkward atmosphere between the two is present, so to break the uncomfortable silence, Dr. Mercy explained an interesting statement.

"You know... I think I can experience how you feel right now."

"what'd ya mean?"

"I mean, lately, I was experiencing fevers." This perked up the skeleton's interest. Wanting for her to go on, he asked her to continue, still not halting from his work.

"Not just that! I've got dramatic increase of body temperature, that did not seem to be involved with these fevers. I also notice allergies, or reddening of skin, only on my face."

(Gaster in the background: Seriously?! These two doesn't even know what a blush is?)

"is that so? what else do you experience?"

"Rapid pulse of the heart. And it seemed I could only feel this way towards one person."

Now this struck a nerve (If he has one) on the scientist, making him stop in his work, and irk. Inside, his soul was beating fast, not the usual when Frisk was around, but by some sort of rage. Sadness. Anger.

Jealousy.

Gathering courage, he gulped, "a-and who's this person ya speak of?"

A long pause followed, his hopes draining out of him like how we flush toilets with a single press (I know, that's... weird. XD Don't ask why I added this.). But just as he planned on excusing himself to leave the area in depression, he was fazed to hear what she announced next.

"You."

"..."

"Even until now, the symptoms seemed present."

He tremblingly turned to see her fairly pale complexion displaying an adorable rosy hue. And because of that, he couldn't handle this much feelings any longer.

Just as Frisk was about to ask what might be wrong, he was quicker than a fox, slamming the brunette to the wall, trapping her with his arms to either side. She gasped at this, bewildered by his unfamiliar actions, her eyelids shot open to reveal a pair of beautiful glistening honey-glazed golden irises.

"wow." He finally whispered, "why did ya hide these all along?" He muttered lowly, his phalange tucking a strand of her locks behind her ear.

"S-sans?" She asked in a panic.

"hush, sweetheart." He cooed, the name flustering the human even more, "i've been meaning to tell ya... that i think, this might be the formula of love."

"But that's not it! The formula of LOVE is composed of--"

"ya sound like me. now watch as i silence ya." He said, leaning closer towards her. And just as he was about to close the gap, someone bursted in, making the two back away further from each other.

"SANS!" A voice boomed, its owner, a taller skeleton fashioned with a grey trench coat, along with a beautifully knitted red scarf, "I BROUGHT LUNCH FOR EVERYONE!"

"th-that's great, paps! thanks." Sans sweatdropped, approaching his awaiting brother, who held a paper bag on either side of his gloved hands.

"AND WHY WAS THE DOOR LOCKED? I'VE HAD TO WASTE A GOOD AMOUNT OF STAMINA JUST TO OPEN THE DOOR! I'M STILL QUITE SURPRISED IT DIDN'T SHATTER, CONSIDERING IT TO BE A GLASS OF ITS KIND."

"ya could say it's last of its kind then." He winked, causing for the brunette beside him to stifle a giggle, and for his brother to, well, scream in annoyance.

"BROTHER, I DISOWN YOU!" he yelled, storming out of the window.

It was just the two of them in the room then once more.

"well?"

"You free this Saturday?"

"yeah, why?"

Leaning in to whisper with a sly smirk, she muttered sweetly, "Three at the park. Meet me there." She said, as she grabbed the brown envelope at the table before skipping out of the laboratory.

Unaware to the two, we find out that Gaster and Alphys are silently watching behind the cameras, giggling like the fangirl and fanboy they are.

"At last, I'm finally going to be a grandfather. Though he should've asked me for pointers to speed things up a bit for him to improve."

"D-did the same th-thing also h-happened to you and S-sans' mother?" She asked in wonder.

"Actually... It was quite far intense."

"Seven at my place. Be there."

"Yep. I love first nights."

"E-er... uh..."

A/n: Gaster! You really know how to make a person uncomfortable.

Anyways, that's The Formula Of Love!

Seriously, for some reason, this was the only chapter in Why Not that I did not took interest in writing at all, wishing I did not think of doing this at first, but then, for some unknown reason, I wrote the first part of the story, and then BAM! Colorful imaginational motivation is everywhere! And so, I was writing up a storm, telling myself that I. HAVE. TO. FINISH. THIS!

Ok, the next part, is quite interestingly... Not really that bloody, I mean, though I write Yanderetale, I made sure all my stories are family 9-year-old friendly.

Wait, did I just blurt out Yanderetale? You guessed it! The next chapter is...

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Description: Mine and Only Mine II

Level 1: Unlocked

First comes detention, there comes exclusion, and then goes death. Whatever you do, never touch what belongs to Sans…#Yanderetale

You: It's already unlocked??

Yes! Unexpectedly, thanks to numerous new Key Masters popping in. Thanku!💕

Edited: I have good news and bad news...

The good news is, I can still write oneshots, yahey?

The bad news? Because of unstable connection, I'll have to put a raincheck on that oneshot marathon. Maybe next time, but for now, I'll be taking everything in slow steps, okay? I truly deeply apologize for this. I hope you all understand; I only have a five-minute limit on the connection here, which sucks.
