We finally arrived to the capital, apparently it's named Silver after a legend. Neige and Ada told me a bit about it, but I didn't really pay much attention. We had to leave the Choma behind, despite the sadness it brings to Neige and I. 
There's really a lot of people here, and also those people dressed in the same way as the people we saw in the ranch. They're guards from the queen, so they shouldn't cause us trouble, but I still can't feel comfortable near them. I look at Ada, hoping she knows where I could find my sister.

"So, where are we going now?"

"Well, if you want to search for your sister, you should go to the army's base. It's near here. But I do feel some worry for what the queen is doing. She was never really trustworthy, but even for her, it's going far. I would want to investigate a bit on it, maybe Neige can go with you, he knows the city pretty well."

I am also curious about why they confiscated the ranch and the Chomas, but also want to find my sister and she's my first priority.

"It's almost night, I'm tired. Come on Luciaa, let's go."

Before I could even say anything, Neige took my arm and brought me with him. I'm sure Ada will be fine, but I feel a bit bad leaving her alone.

I don't know what is this place exactly, but Neige said it's where the army prepare themselves. Apparently, they used to exist to fight other countries, but now it's mostly to protect people from dangerous animals and monster or to make everyone obey the rules.
It's pretty intimidating to be near them, but I have to do it.

"Hey, where have you been all day?"

One of the soldiers approach me, he takes a good look at me before shaking his head.

"My bad, I thought you were someone else."

Someone else? Maybe it's about my sister, he must know her after all.

"Excuse-me, but I search my sister Iya. Do you know her?"

He looks surprised, but he seems to understand now.

"Oh, you're her sister! I never knew she had one, she barely talks usually. You search her? It's pretty weird, if she's not here or at home, I don't know where she might be. You should come back tomorrow, she was supposed to be here today, but maybe something happened on the road."

Something happened? I try to calm myself before thinking about something grim, but it's hard to stay calm.

"Don't worry, your sister is a tough girl. I don't know her much, but I know nothing bad could happen to her."

"Yes, thanks. I'll come back tomorrow then."

Neige and I leave this place, we didn't find anything about Iya, but at least I have something to look forward to.

We left after getting the information. It's worrying that she isn't here or at home. I have no idea where she could be. 

"We should find a place to sleep for the night, Ada will join us when she'll finish what she has to do."

"How will Ada know where we are?"

"Don't worry about her, I tried hiding from her, and she always manages to find me somehow."

I'm not sure if she'll really be able to know where we are, but I trust him. We go toward the outskirt of the city, Neige sits down in the middle of a calm place.

"That's a nice place to sleep, right?"

Here? Outside? But there's no roof or anything, what if it rains? And I'm not sure that I want to sleep with grass and insects touching me.

"Come on, don't look so scared. It's nice to sleep outside, you'll see."

"If you say so."

I'm not really convinced, but I sit next to him. He prepares a fire, but I don't really think it's really safe.

"What did you light up a fire? And what if it goes out of control?"

"We'll need to cook the food somehow, and if it goes out of control I'll just use my magic."

I forgot he could use magic. I managed to do it too, but I can't feel it now. Can I only use magic when I'm in danger, or is there something that I'm missing?

"You worry because you can't use your magic when you want?"

It's like he can read my thoughts? Am I that easy to understand?

"Well, kinda. I can't feel what I felt when I could use it."

"It's like that in the beginning, maybe you never had a use for magic. Ada told me you could use Ice magic, since I can too, maybe I can teach you some things or two."

"Everyone use different kind of magic?"

"Yes, Ada can use Holy magic, so she can mostly heal people, while I use frost magic. But I can't really control ice or anything, it's more like I can slow down the flow of time. Everyone express their power in a different way."

So that's what he did against the soldier back then, Neige looked like he was faster than him. Can I do something like that too? And what was that story about Fubuki choosing someone?

"When you talked with Ada, you said that only one person could be chosen by Fubuki, what does that mean?"

"Oh, you heard that. It's nothing, Ada could probably tell you more about it. But just so you can understand, some says that the Gods give their powers to someone so they won't need to do anything. Ada said that Fubuki gave me her powers so I can help her, but I don't plan on helping her in any way. And since you have ice magic too, I think it's just a myth."

Fubuki give her powers to someone? Before I could use magic, I saw Fubuki inside me. Is it the way she gives her power? I wanted to ask more about it, but Ada managed to find us somehow.

"Hey, is everything alright for you two? Have you found your sister?"

We take the time to explain what happened. She was really feeling bad for me, but I'm sure I'll find my sister soon enough.

"And you, have you found what you were searching?"

She takes some time to think, she's looking at me with some worry in her eyes, maybe she doesn't want to get me involved. But I want to know what the queen going to do too.

"Don't worry about me, I want to know what is happening."

"I'm sorry, I didn't want to talk about it to you. After all, everything that happens doesn't really concern you, you will return to live in the forest with your sister I suppose."

"It's true, but I don't want to ignore what is happening in this world. I'm a part of it too after all."

Ada takes a deep breath before smiling at me softly.

"You're right, it's not really fair for me to hide what is happening to you. And it might be related to your sister after all."

To my sister, has something happened to her? The soldier hasn't seen her all day long, is it because of the queen somehow?

"The queen gave an order to her army, she wants to find the Gods back."

"She wants to find them? But why?"

"I'd like to know too, my child. But I do not have the answer."

"And where are the Gods?"

"They left these lands 10 years ago, some say they returned to the realm of the Gods, some say they still roam among us. But no one has the answer."

If my sister is in the army, has the queen asked her to search for the Gods? It doesn't really seem like a realistic task, there's no way she could do it.

"But what does it have to do with what happened in the ranch?"

"That's what I wanted to know too."

In the middle of our conversation, Neige stands up and starts doing some stretching out of nowhere.

"Come on, it's getting boring. Can't we do something more fun? There's nothing we can do about it anyway!"

"What? But there are things I wanted to ask."

Ada gets closer and puts gently her hand on my shoulder.

"He's right, worrying too much about it won't solve anything. Sometimes, we just need to rest and have fun for a bit."

I should stop worrying? But how can I be calm when my sister may be in dangerous, and when there are so many things I ignore.

"Come on, I can see your worry on your face. Ada just told you to stop worrying. Why don't we try to make you use your powers again instead?"

I guess it's better than doing nothing, and I want to show my sister what I can do now.

We tried to make me use my powers, but sadly I couldn't do anything. They said that it's because I'm tired and it's late, but I don't feel any magic anymore. 
We decided to go to sleep and wait for tomorrow, but I feel a bit worried. Is my sister okay? And can I really use magic? I guess it's no use thinking too much, I close my eyes and try to sleep after that long day.
