"Why are you moving forward? What are you plotting now?" Irie murmured while trembling in fear while standing at the extreme edge of the terrace. He was consistently peeking behind to see the height difference from the terrace. The more he glanced, the more he was panicked.

Hirotaka was amused to see him trembling. "Why are you so terrified? What are you glancing at the back? Are you going to jump?" He was asked while walking towards him calmly with a dark expression in his eyes...

"Irie?" "Hiro-san?" A sudden loud scream interrupted them. They turned back and saw Yurika was huffing rapidly while standing at the door of the terrace. Maybe she came up there by running.

Irie started sobbing bitterly after watching Yurika. Hirotaka was standing there all frigid while gasping at Yurika.

"What are you two doing here? Irie, why are you standing at the edge? What's happening here?" Yurika asked both of them loudly.

Irie almost rushed towards her and hugged her tightly while sobbing hard. Yurika was very surprised to see Irie's condition. She was continuously glancing at Hirotaka with intense eyes.

"Mom! Where the hell were you? I- I th-thought, I am going to disappear too! I thought I lost you too! I was so scared!" He clutched Yurika while mourning.

"Ahh, why did you think all of these? I was on just a floor down! And why will you disappear? Why will you lose me you, foolish kid? What were both of you doing here?" Yurika was consoling him while asking these questions.

"I called your son to meet me here! I didn't want to wake you up from the sleep! So, to avoid disturbances, I thought of chatting a while here but I guess your son is too afraid of me! He was constantly moving towards the edge of the terrace! I was approaching so that I can pull him off from the edge! But maybe he mistook my intentions!" Hirotaka spoke very firmly with a deep voice after a long silence.

Yurika was still puzzled with the atmosphere. Irie slowly released Yurika from his clasp and looked at Hirotaka agitatedly.

"Are you okay kid? I guess you are really a kid no matter how you act to be strong enough!" He had a vicious smile while looking at Irie.

"Hiro-san? Why did you call him here? Irie is scared of heights, why was he trembling while standing on the edge? What did you say to him?" Yurika asked him in a sharp voice.

Hirotaka looked at Irie once again. He was still scared while standing there holding Yurika's hand. "I told you, I just wanted to have a chitchat with your son! But I guess, he was startled with my intentions." He replied very politely.

"Mom, let's leave now, please! I don't want to stay here! Please let's leave now!" Irie appealed to her with a fearful gaze.

Yurika understood his mental condition and nodded her head. "Okay! You go downstairs I will be coming in a moment. I have something to ask Hiro-san! Go now, Irie!" She answered him gently while staring at Hirotaka.

Irie looked back at Hirotaka with a panic-stricken face before leaving. Hirotaka smiled devilishly while staring at him.

After he left, Yurika slowly walked towards him. "Hiro-san? I am still not satisfied with your answer! You could have chatted with him in your room. Why did you call him here in so dark? He was standing at the edge! If he fell down do you know what would have happened? Why he was so scared?" She was very restless.

Hirotaka silently stared at her for some time. "Do you think I would have let him fall down? Don't you trust me? Are you suspicious of me too like the detective?" He asked her.

"I trust you but your behaviors are making me suspicious Hiro-san! I am overprotective of Irie! I can't imagine my life now without him! Today, I saw him in a very strange state! He was never afraid of anything! I am just--"

"I am sorry! I shouldn't have called him here in the dark! I won't do it again!" Hirotaka interrupted her with a very deep voice. Yurika couldn't say anything further and sighed.

"I have something more to ask you Hiro-san!" Her voice sounded very curious.

"You can ask me anything Yurika!"

"Hiro-san, I saw an empty benzocaine spray bottle in your room! As per I know that is a powerful anesthetic spray used in medical clinics for treating bone fracture pain by making the body portions numb. But it's a very dangerous spray! Why you are having that? Did you get a fracture somewhere? And it's prohibited outside medical clinics, how do you have that?" She compressed her eyebrows in curiosity while asking him.

Hirotaka was listening to everything very attentively with a mysterious smile. Suddenly, he laughed out.

"Ha Ha! How did you find that Yurika? And how did you find us here on the terrace?" He had a wicked expression on his face.

Yurika was still troubled with the situation. "Well after I woke up I saw you were gone somewhere. I was searching for my bag and then I saw that bottle near the window fence of your bedroom. Then I took my phone to call you and saw Irie had already called me and messaged that he arrived at the terrace! I was very shocked to see that text and just came here running! I don't know but I felt that something bad will happen to him! I am very scared of everything now!" Her eyes looked very poignant while speaking.

"Actually, after that fatal accident, I had with my dad that night, my right leg always troubles me! Sometimes the pain is so unbearable that I feel the urge to die. That's why I managed to have this spray from my pharmacist friend to treat that pain." Hirotaka replied in a low voice.

Yurika gazed at him for some time. She still looked suspicious with the answer.

"Hiro-san, you are not lying to me, right? You won't ever hide anything from me ever again, right? You won't hurt me again right?" She asked him in a sharp voice.

He smiled widely while looking at her. "No... I am not lying. Even if I need to hide anything someday, I will make sure to tell you everything when the time comes." He sounded very gentle.

Yurika smiled a bit with his assurance. "Okay, I must leave now! Irie is waiting downstairs! And don't ever use that spray! That is very dangerous!" She prepared to leave...

"Okay! Then I should walk you home!"

"Ahh, no need! Irie will panic again! I guess he is really afraid of you I don't know why! I am going now. Bye," She waved her hand towards him and started walking slowly downstairs.

"Yurika?" Hirotaka suddenly called her from behind.

She flinched with the call and turned back. "Yes?" She asked him slowly.

"If I disappear someday, will you accompany me?" He asked her gently.

Yurika didn't expect such a question from him. She was standing there all confused. 

"Pardon?"

"You told me today while drinking, that you will go with me! I was very glad to know that!             
Yurika... Let's wither away together someday!" He had a dark expression on his face while speaking.

"Ahh, Hiro-san I have a kid now! I can't just leave him like his dad! After he gets a good life, then we can wither away!" She replied with a smile. Her expression indicated that she didn't take his words seriously. 

Hirotaka didn't say anything and gently nodded his head.

It's been half an hour after she left. Hirotaka was still standing on the terrace with a cigarette. He took out his phone and dialed someone.

(Phone ringing)

"Hello?" Someone answered.

"Hello, brother Baek? Hirotaka's speaking!" He replied with a deep voice.

"Huh, Hirotaka? Man, where did you have been for 10 years? You just took the spray and disappeared in thin air after we met last time in Osaka! It was so risky to arrange for you! And you were so persistent about it! If anyone had complained, I could have lost my pharmacist's license! You said you will have surgery, did you do it?" The person was quite restlessly speaking. He was listening to everything quietly.

"I had some circumstances... I even thought I would never need the spray again but I guess my consequences are always twisted!" Hirotaka had a small smile on his face while answering.

"What? That means you didn't have your surgery?" The person sounded very agitated over the phone.

"Brother Baek, I think I can't explain to you everything now but I need your one last help!" He pleaded very gently.

"Last time? What do you mean by that? Are you moving somewhere far?"

Hirotaka was silent for some time. "Yes. Maybe I need to move somewhere very far this time! But I won't leave without finishing all my tasks here! Brother, I need one spray again!" This time he spoke in a very dense voice.

"Again? But you told me you won't need it ever again? Do you know how much it's risky to arrange for you!" Do you ever understand--"

"I will pay you three times higher the price this time! But I need that very urgently. So I will text you my address and deliver it here." He interrupted him while speaking very calmly.

"Hirotaka it's illegal to use it outside the clinics! If someone knows about it--"

"I just have one person in this world and she won't know about it! I promise you brother Baek I won't ask for your help again! This will be the last..."

The person sighed over the phone. "Fine! But don't ever ask me again for it! And if possible delete my number too! I don't want to be involved in any chaos!" He replied very agitatedly.

"Sure brother! I will always be grateful for your help! I hope you have a good life!" Hirotaka sounded very serious and disconnected the phone. He looked at the sky with a blank gaze. His facial expression was very darkened.

"Some people can easily provoke the beast inside you! No matter how much you escape those animal instincts but it will definitely come out when it's the time... I guess I can never lead a normal life with my Yurika!" He slowly mumbled while staring at the sky.

It was around 12 am. Yurika was sleeping soundly but Irie was very restless after hearing about his real truth. He quietly stood up and slowly went to the wardrobe where Yurika basically keeps all the important documents.

"If I am adopted, there will be definitely an adoption certificate! But I know that bastard lied to me! He just wants to break my mental strength! There will be nothing here!" He thought while slowly opening the wardrobe.

He started searching every file within it. There were 2 rows fully piled up with different files. He patiently started searching everything within those files. There was no such certificate in the first file. He felt a bit relieved.

But soon his happiness faded away. After opening the second file he found the adoption certificate inside a blue envelope.

"Kanazawa St. Mary Orphanage:
Certificate issued for a small boy child.
Adopted parents- Mr. Myobi Onodera and Mrs. Yurika Onodera"

It was written in the certificate. Irie's throat choked in pain and tears rolled down from his eyes in extreme pain. He stood frozen holding the certificate and wanted to cry very badly. He put his hand over his mouth so that he won't make any noise to wake up Yurika.

After sobbing silently for a moment he put that certificate inside the file exactly like before.
"I will pretend as if I never saw it!" He mumbled with teary eyes.

While closing the wardrobe he felt extremely frustrated and annoyed towards Hirotaka.

"That creepy bastard! I don't know how he manipulated my innocent mom but I will bring out his evil face before everyone!" He clenched his wrist in anger while speaking.

After coming back to his room from the terrace, Hirotaka slowly went towards the window fence of his bedroom. The spray bottle was still there. The room was completely dark. He slowly grabbed it and smiled a bit while looking at it. "I thought I will never need you again, but I guess you need to help me this time too... 

I will never forget how and where I used you that day... 10 years ago...!" He uttered slowly.
