Jonathan was missing.

There was literally no other way around it- Jonathan was missing.

The last thing he remembers from Jon is that night they spent, running around downtown like a group of dumbasses. After the park, they had found a restaurant still open and stopped in at 3 a.m. for burgers and fries.

The three of them had talked, laughed, and left about a half hour later. They all said their goodbyes, gave hugs and playful little punches to each other, then parted ways.

The next morning, Jon's parents are calling up Ryan and Bryce, panicking over their missing son.

Now, three days later, there's still no sign of him. Ryan's been coming over to Jon's house, every day after school, just to try to comfort his parents.

Poor Bryce, though, has been here for the majority of the past few days, seeing as to how he was only in town for a few weeks.

Jonathan's parents were completely heartbroken over Jon's disappearance. They had been begging the police to do every little thing they could, and frankly, Ryan was starting to get sick of seeing cops come in and out of the house.

Ryan wasn't sure what the hell Jonathan did, but he pulled whatever magician shit Luke had, clearly, because it was as if he had vanished into thin air.

"Ryan? Are you okay?" A soft, worried voice comes from behind him, and Ryan jumps slightly, turning around to find Bryce standing in the doorway.

The doorway of Jon's bedroom, mind you.

"Yeah... I'm okay. Just shaken up, I suppose," Ryan whispers. He finds himself looking away from the wall, and turning to Bryce, who frowns at Ryan's response.

"Do you really think he's gone? I mean, he's bound to come back eventually, right?"

"I don't know," Ryan admits. "If Luke hasn't come back, after almost seven months, then..."

There was a moment of silence, and Ryan found himself turning towards Bryce, who was now standing besides him.

Bryce seemed to be deep in thought, a worried look on his face as he stared out the window. He looked upset, and maybe angry at whatever he was thinking.

What even goes on in his head?

"Well... There's no use sulking around about it, you know! Maybe he left some kind of clue as to where he went? We can- we can look for him, maybe.." Bryce fell silent, crossing his arms. "No, I take that back. That's stupid. We'll end up wherever the heck they did, and I don't think I want that."

Ryan says nothing, just continues to stare at Bryce, watching him ramble on.

Eventually, though, Bryce stops and turns to Ryan. He and Bryce looked at each other for a moment, before Bryce giggles and smiles.

"What's wrong, Ohmie? You know it's rude to stare, right?"

Ryan feels himself blushing as he turns away. He rolls his eyes, ignoring Bryce's giggles.

"It's okay, Ryan. I know I'm cute. I have to go home, though, so I'll see you tomorrow, okay?" Bryce smiles and waves at Ryan as he walks away.

And, honestly, Ryan would be lying if he said he felt upset at watching Bryce leave.
