The fire in my heart grows darker with each day,

It doesn't matter how much fuel I add to nurture the flame,

They say perseverance is key,

It will get better,

Think positive,

Eat healthily,

Take your medication,

Meditate,

Try harder,

Don't be a quitter,

So I keep going,

Suffering through the pain,

Unable to shake off the despair,

Let go of the hate,

Hoping it will get easier,

What a waste,

Trying to make it better,

But it doesn't change,

So I wonder,

How long until I go under?

Let the waves wash me away.
