Stupid charms aside, The Horse is strangely motivated for someone who's just committed the unthinkable. Nobody else would help The Snake to this extent. 

The Snake tries to not get false hopes. Expectations are a cause for disappointment. 

Silently, and rather awkwardly, they're united once more as they pursue the rest of The Yellow River's trail. It must have another path with promise. If not to victory, then at least to safety. 

Bleeding out tends to make one defeated. At least The Horse's arms are comfortable, albeit very embarrassing, to lean on. 

And then they stumble into The Rabbit.
