Chapter 44: Je T'Aime
Me and Michael's first day in Paris.
It's 7:00pm. It's wonderful here, beautiful. I wanna live here forever! We've just unpacked our stuff and we're in the hotel room. It's so fancy and posh. It makes my home seem like a dump.
"Michael?" I call out.
Michael comes in the living room where I am, having just run from the bathroom.
He's shirtless, with a towel around his lower half.
Oh damn, how hot does he look..?
"Yeah, what's up?" he asks.
I can't help but look down at his chest. Ugh, his chest is so perfect.
"I love your chest.." I say.
Damn, that wasn't what I wanted to say!
I blush and Michael chuckles.
"Thank you, baby. Anyway, I have a feeling that you wanted to say something else?" he says. I nod my head.
"Yeah.. can we go for a walk once you're ready? I wanna go out and see Paris!" I explain, trying hard to reduce my embarrassment. Michael nods.
"Sure. Just let me get dressed," he says.
He could walk out in town like that if he wanted, my God, I wouldn't give a damn..
"Ok," I reply simply.
He leaves the room to dry off from his shower and get dressed. I'm sat on the bed, my hand over my stomach. I bought the first baby scan here with us, just to make me smile when I'm feeling down. It's beautiful. The most wonderful thing a soon-to-be mother could see.
I look at the picture intently, then down at my stomach. It's got a little bump, but nothing major.
"You're gonna be so beautiful, once you're born. I know you are. You'll get your looks from your father, I bet. And you'll get your personality from me. I know you'll be firm but fair when it comes to the real world. You're the son of an ex-Jax member. And a fake ex-member. Hmm.. I wish these five months would end, I want you here in the world, now. I've waited for four months already. I already love you, and I've never met you," I say, tracing a circle shape around my tummy button.
I sigh loudly and look back at the baby scan.
"Already ready.." I mutter as I exhale.
"Ready!" Michael calls, grabbing his leather jacket from the coat rack and placing it over his shoulder.
He notices my little mother-son bonding moment and smiles.
"He's gonna be beautiful. And he'll be here before we know it," he says. I smile.
"Yeah.. but five months. It's a long time," I say.
Michael comes to the bed and takes my hand.
"C'mon, let's go for a walk. Let's go see the City Of Romance. That's what we're here for," he says, lifting me from the bed.
We walk out into the city, walking down the vintage, old fashioned street. It's really beautiful, certainly the most wonderful place I've ever been to.
We soon come to the Eiffel Tower. We stand by it and look up.
"It's so tall," I say. Michael chuckles.
"I know. Should we go up there?" he asks. I widen my eyes.
"It's so tall," I say, trying to change the subject to avoid answering.
He hugs me from behind and leans his head on my shoulder.
"I know. Should we go up there?" he asks once again.
"It's so t--"
"I know it's tall, baby! You said! Now, do you wanna go up there?" Michael chuckles. I look into his eyes.
"But.. it's so tall," I say once more. Michael smirks.
"I know you're scared of heights. But if you do this, I might just reward you later," he says seductively.
I can't help but smile.
"Oh, really?" I challenge.
He stands opposite me and kisses my lips.
"Oh, really," he asserts.
He then lifts me up and looks up to me.
"Enchanté, Mademoiselle," he says in a slightly-French accent, before kissing my lips gently.
"So, you wanna go up there?" he asks again. I nod.
"Sure. Let's go up there," I say slightly nervously.
He sets me down and we walk hand in hand to the lift. We eventually get in and it takes us up higher, higher, higher..
"Michael, I'm scared!" I squeal quietly.
He hugs me from behind and squeezes me gently.
"I'm right here for you, baby," he tells me.
He laces his hand over the top of mine, and guides them both to my stomach.
"And so is little one," he says. I smile at his sweetness.
We eventually get to the top. It's only then I realise we're the only ones in the lift. And the only ones at the top of the tower.
"Michael, we're all alone," I say. He looks around and smiles.
"Yeah, I guess we are," he says with a light giggle.
"Hmm.. it's so romantic, even if it's a little scary," I admit.
Michael nuzzles my cheek with his nose. A gentle breeze hits our faces, making our hair float on the breeze.
"It's the most romantic place I've ever been to. And what makes it better is that I'm here with the most wonderful girl ever," he says.
The breeze is still light, and the Tower's illuminations start to turn on. We're all alone, at the top of the Eiffel Tower, it's night time, we're with the person we love most.
"I love you," Michael whispers in my ear as we look out at Paris.
"I love you more," I reply.
Michael kisses my neck, still standing behind me, his arms embracing me still.
"And I love you most," he replies with his husky voice.
That just made my night better.
"This is perfect," I say. Michael smiles.
"I'm pretty sure it'll be even more perfect soon, when we have our son, and our love gets stronger," he says quietly, still in the husky voice.
"You mean, it'll get stronger? I thought it was already strong," I say.
Michael strokes my blonde hair.
"How can I not love you more and more every second of the day? You're so loveable. And you're perfect," he says.
A few little fireflies flutter around us, and the tower's illuminations get brighter. Then, a slow song starts to play. It sounds like a violin playing.
Michael and I come away from the edge of the tower. We stand in the middle of the floor.
"Can I have this dance?" Michael asks softly.
I smile as I take his hand.
"Of course,"I reply.
As the music gets softer and louder, me and Michael dance slowly and romantically around the floor.
It's the most beautiful moment we have ever had, and I don't want it to ever end.
I love Paris. I love Michael. All of life's worries seem to have vanished right now.
This is the most perfect life ever.
