Chapter – 5 Destiny writing their story
At Maheshwari Mansion
"Ragini please push this kalash with your right feet and step inside the house." Annapurna instructed Ragini. 

Ragini was standing besides Laksh as Mrs. Ragini Laksh Maheshwari, choti bahu of Maheshawri Family. This is what Ragini's dream from the day she first saw Laksh. And then Laksh rejected her which she could not bear. But rejecting her and accepting Swara, falling in love with her, this change of events Ragini was not able to digest. She decided now she will start the game of betrayal with her sister Swara by acting as loving sister.

Ragini never accepted Swara and always maintained distance with her. Even though Swara was daughter of Shekhar and Sharmistha, born without marriage, to save Swara & Sharmishtha from Parvati Gadodia'a wrath and society's taunting. Shobha Bose took them to Massoori. Shekhar got married with Janaki as per his mother's wish and they had a daughter whom they named Ragini. When Ragini was 5 years, Janaki died due to cancer. Sharmishtha came back to Kolkata after 10 years due their house rent in Kalibadi, where she again met Shekhar. Shekhar and Sharmishtha again get along with each other and secretly gets married. When Parvati got to know about the marriage first, she did not accept it but looking at the tender age of Ragini and she needs mother care, she accepts the marriage, but she puts a condition infront of Sharmishtha that Swara will stay with her Dida only. She will not be a part of Gadodia family. Sharmishtha accepts this condition thinking she will convince her mother in law via Shekhar to bring Swara back to Kolkata and have a happy family, but she failed to do that. When Swara shifted to Kolkata with her Dida after lot of battles Sharmishtha faced, Swara consider Ragini as her sister cum friend.

When Laksh choses Swara over Ragini, she started plotting her tricks to prove Swara will not be a perfect bahu for Maheshwari's and life partner for Laksh. All those nasty things such as giving drugs to Swara and sending her to club just before engagement or making her dance in front of all on Sangeet has been plotted by Ragini. Nobody could believe that Ragini could do all these things looking at her innocent face and timid nature. But still today was Swara and Laksh 's marriage if this happens then Laksh will be out of reach for Ragini. That time she decided to play very smartly she added some drugs on Swara's toothbrush and recorded her fake confession on the video. Then when Swara went to temple for ritual where she needs to do some puja on ghat as per her dadi's instructions. She pushed Swara from back in the flowing water when Swara was giving water to Sun while closing her eyes. Ragini covered herself with shawl in such a way that nobody would recognise her not even Swara. She thought Swara named chapter is closed from her life when Shekhar and Sharmishtha both blamed Swara for her irresponsible behaviour. Ragini perfectly played victim role supported by her Dadi of the sister whose elder sister eloped from marriage, that 'now who will marry her?' She was completely aware about impulse nature of Laksh.

Laksh married Ragini just to prove Swara that he is not bother about her existence. He was frustrated with Swara's behaviour from past three weeks, she was avoiding him, whenever he used to go near her, she used to make some lame excuse. He remembered their talks when Swara used to ask him to postpone the marriage date. She was not involved in the relation the way he was. Her hesitant, reserved approach towards him always put questions in his mind for their upcoming life. On the other side Ragini was trying her best to get them involved in the relation, she was acting as a perfect cupid. Ragini became best friend for Laksh, who was providing him emotional support when Swara used to make distance with him. They used to share every little thing and planning together on how to make Swara fall for Laksh.

In spite of warnings from DP and Annapurna he sat on the mandap and completed the ritual. Annapurna was angry at Swara, she did not expect such behaviour from Swara. She understands a girl's nervousness before marriage but she would have appreciated if Swara would have talk to her. Swara has done mistake. But right now, her son is doing another grave mistake for which he might repent his entire life. "Swara ne galti ki hai lekin Ragini se Shadi karana uska solution nahi hai" that was her stand. Along with Annapurna, other family members such as Ram, Pari and Uttara were also astonished with sudden turn of events whereas Shekhar and Dadi were extreamly happy that finally their Laddoo will be happy now, according to them she got what she deserved, Sharmishtha was silent spectator. Dida went out to look for Swara in the nearby locality. Laksh completed all rituals with Ragini along with saath fere, mangalsutra, sindoor. Pandit announce that both as husband and wife. Ragini closed her eyes to feel her victory. 

City Care Hospital
"What? Is he insane?" Adarsh shouted on the phone when Pari informed him about the events happened at badi. 

"Yes, Adi, Laksh got married with Ragini, I will tell you all details once you come back home. By the way did you find anything about Swara?" Pari said over call, she was also frustrated with Laksh behaviour. She could not understand how Ragini can accept this sudden marriage proposal on the name of saving the reputation of both families, after all Swara is her sister, it's her wedding day how can she get married to the boy who was supposed to marry her sister damn it!!

"Pari, Swara is at hospital" Adrash informed her and provided necessary information about he found her, and he is coming to take dida and Sharmishtha aunty while Sanskar will be reaching to hospital soon. 

"We are heading towards home. Do you want me to come over there?" Pari asked. 

"No, you stay with ma and chachi they might need your support. I am worried about dida and aunty's reaction" Adarsh mentioned.

When Sanskar reached hospital, after meeting with Swara who was there at ICU under doctor's observation, he was informed by Adarsh about the proceedings at badi. "he claimed he loved her" Sanskar mumbled to Adarsh. "was this his love? I thought he would love her and keep her happy" Sanskar said to Adarsh with disappointed look.

Kalibadi
"Swara is dead for me" Adarsh was stunned to hear this reply from Sharmishtha. How can a mother say something about her own daughter? 

The moment words were slipped from Sharmishtha's mouth she felt a burning sensation on her cheek. Dida had slapped her hardly and Sharmishtha stumbled back. 

"Don't you dare to say a word against my Shoru. You were never her mother, when she needed you the most at that tender age you decided to go and enjoy your married life, abandoning your daughter. I have seen her loneliness and she used to cry miserably at nights for your one touch. You did not even have any time to talk to her you were busy with your husband and his daughter, but my shoru was all alone. When we used to come to badi during her vacations that time also you were pampering your husbands's daughter saying Ragu has lost her mother, then what about my Shoru, she also lost her mother. Dida was angrily looking at Sharmishtha. " How many times, I told you she is not ready for the marriage give her some time but still you did not listen me... nobody listen me. Now I get it was just a plan my Shoru was just a pawn for you Gadodia's. Your husband and mother in was was showing Maheshawri's that my Shoru is getting married to Laksh but actually it was always Ragini who would be getting married to Laksh at the end". Dida said angrily. 

"Where is my Shoru? Will you take me to her is she fine?" Dida asked Adarsh with worried lines. 

"Ma what are you saying?" Dida did not even listen her daughters' word but took Adarsh hand and bring him out of Gadodia house.

City Care Hospital
After Dida and Adarsh left Sanskar entered the private room, which was allotted to Swara. There she was sleeping under the effects of medications. Sanskar just walked towards her he caressed her face so delicately like his touch may also cause her any pain. He sat down beside her but did not remove his gaze from her face. He was looking at her pale face there was a bandage on her forehead. He slowly held her hand in his, "I am sorry Swara, this is all happening because of me. I am your culprit. You can give me whatever punishment you want but please get well soon first."

'Sanskar' his name written on her hand in the mid of the mehendi design. He remembered the Mehendi function how the mehendi designer wrote his name on her hands. It was a mehendi function two days before marriage, Maheshwari Mansion was glowing with its all charm, lights, flower decorations, music all were loudly mentioning the happiness of each and every family member. Sanskar was getting ready in his room for the function, actually he wanted to avoid it, he wanted to be all alone but his mom and Badi ma are not ready to leave him, they both are showering all love on him which he missed for all these three years. 

"My son is looking so handsome" Sujata mentioned while entering his room. Sanskar was wearing light green colour kurta Pajama. 

"So, my mom" he replied with small smile. 

"Come let's go all guest are coming" Sujata said while holding his hand. 

"Mom can I please skip this function, I have an important meeting to join." Sanskar tried to explain his mom. 

"Why, meetings are only important for you not your badi ma?" Annapurna mentioned while entering Sanskar's room along with Pari.

"I will come badi ma you guys go ahead" Sanskar said. 

"Ok come soon." Sujata said and left with Annapurna from his room. 

"Bhabhi" Sanskar called Pari when he saw her leaving with his mothers. 

"Haan Sanskar?" Pari said while turning towards him. 

Sanskar pressed his lips thinking how to put it in words about what is going on in his mind. He was looking down and he had clenched his fist. 

"Sanskar what happened?" Pari asked him. "I am sorry Bhabhi" Sanskar sounded guilty.

Pari looked at him with confused expressions then next moment she realised where their conversation is going on. 

"I am sorry to you, your sister and mom dad". Pari smiled she holds his hand and make him sit on the bed and continued. 

"Why you are sorry Sanskar? Infact we should be the one who needs to say sorry" Pari said looking at Sanskar who was shocked. "You know when you came for our marriage that time only my parents liked you, and when Papa said about you coming back for forever after completing your studies, he mentioned that he wanted you to marry a girl of his choice, then my dad said why not two sisters should become daughter in laws of the same house. Payal had seen you during my wedding, she had feelings for you. My parents were aware about that, she was really happy with the proposed alliance. There was our fault as well we thought since you are very close to Papa, and as per him there is no one in your life we thought you would accept. We took you for granted. But when you said you are in love with someone that broke Payal's heart, she cried so much. And then all the things happen. But today she has been moved on she is happily married to Avinash and expecting her first baby soon. But you are still there, will you not move on?" Pari asked holding Sanskar's hand. She was like his elder sister who was guiding him to lead his life with happiness.

"I loved her Bhabhi with all my being, I married her just to safeguard our relation from any prejudice. But still I lost her, I could not protect her and our love. Today she is not with me. But still Bhabhi I cannot stop loving her, infact the day I stop loving her will be my last day. I still can hear her laughing, her talking to me, all her antics, her face expressions which she used to make when I used to irritate her. I can still feel her Bhabhi. I cannot give her place to anyone" Sanskar said while looking at far, stream of tears is rolling down his cheeks.

"Sorry, I mistakenly came to this room" Swara said, while it was clear from her face that she had heard Pari and Sanskar's conversation. She immediately left from there. She was feeling heartbroken looking at Sanskar's pain. Tear were rolling down her cheeks, how can someone love this deeply, will Laksh love me like the way his brother loved his girlfriend? Will I be able to love him the same way? Why god you took away his love from him? He should be with his love, he should be happy. This was the only thought going on in Swara's mind. While descending the stairs she wiped her tears. 

Annapurna asked her to sit for Mehendi Ceremony. But Swara's mind was revolving around Sanskar only he was taking control over her all senses. 

"What's your would-be husband's name?" designer asked her, at the same time Sanskar was descending the stairs along with Adarsh. He looked at Swara and they shared a long eye lock. "Sanskar" that's the word Swara spoke. And Mehendi designer wrote Sanskar's name on her palm. Was destiny writing their story?

Sanskar slightly raised her palm and kissed on back of her hand. He was looking at her like his life is depending upon her. If he blinks, then she would disappear, he will not allow any power in this world to harm her, her will protect her by all his means, he will be her shield.
