【 EDITED 】 Epilogue

[Edited: November 11, 2018]

***

Thank you for all the comments on the mess I uploaded last week and to those friends who listened to me rant. I also really can't thank you all enough for the support on this book. I hope this Epilogue could return the favour even just a little bit.

J

imin never thought he'd come this far.

Almost all his life, he wanted to die. After everything that's happened and all that he's been through, he no longer saw importance to life.

But people change people.

Sometimes, even the one who hurts you the most could end up to be the one saving you in the end.

"Jungkook, get this off of me already." The younger had blindfolded his husband to surprise him though it was already late at night.

Although they hadn't reached their destination yet, Jungkook was already satisfied by Jimin's reaction. After all, he's always found him cute even when they were still kids. Annoying Jimin is probably one of Jungkook's hobbies. It's not really that bad when he gets to see him pout and hear his whine. It's not like he's actually getting mad.

"Papa's so cute!" Minkook giggled in the middle of the backseat of the car. On his opposite sides sat Jikook and Angel.

"Mom keeps on telling Dad to remove it like he's actually going to do it." Jikook scoffed and shook his head.

"Hey, I'm not your mom," Jimin retorted. "I'm your dad."

"But then who's our mommy?" Angel asked, crestfallen.

"For Jikook, it's Yoongi." Jungkook laughed harder and Jimin tried to shoot him a glare, but remembered he was wearing a blindfold so it would be of no use to do such thing.

"What?!" Minkook almost screamed in horror. "That hyung is Jikookie-hyung's mom?! Does that mean Jikookie's just my step-brother?!"

"Don't say things like that, Jungkook," Jimin said, finally stepping in. "They're kids and they won't always understand what you're saying."

They adopted the kids only a year after they got married. Angel, the only girl, is the youngest; eight years-old. Minkook is her male twin. These two do not remember a thing about their biological parents for they were both abandoned in front of a brothel before they even celebrated their first birthday. For what reason, no one really knows. Jimin decided to take care of them for he saw himself in both of them.

If there is anyone who knows how it's like to be left by the two people who should've been the ones who taught you how cruel this world is, it is Jimin. His parents may not have left him in front of a brothel when he was an infant, but his mom did leave him for herself. His dad immediately left him the day he changed his heart and completely ruined their family. He might've been there in Jimin's life, but he sure wasn't acting like his father.

"You cheated on Aunty Jimin, dad?!" Jikook added, trying to control his own laughter when Jimin turned his head to him.

"How many times to do I have to say I am a guy?!" Jimin chided his son, only to receive a thunderous laugh in return.

"Seriously, you are Yoongi's son."

"I told you so," Jungkook said in triumph.

"Shut up!"

"Hey! No cursing in front of the kids!"

"You're in no position to say that."

Jikook, on the other hand, was found by the orphanage when he was five years-old. As much as Jimin and Jungkook have heard, the boy saw his father murder his own mother. He fled and called the police, causing his father to be admitted to an asylum for criminals.

He was eight when Jungkook found him, sitting on a bay window on the second floor of the orphanage, watching all the other kids play in the fountain at the garden. While Jimin was busy playing and getting to know Minkook and Angel with the nuns, Jungkook approached the child.

"Hey, do you mind if I sit here?" Jungkook asked, but the kid did not even glance at him, simply shaking his head.

"Thanks."

"You don't have to thank me. I don't own this place." Jungkook was taken aback by the child's voice rather than what he had said. It was so soothing and calm. He had not expected that for he was wearing all black and his hair was dyed a bright red. One look and you wouldn't think he'd have that voice.

"Well, I don't either," Jungkook said, chuckling a little. The child still did not look at him.

"I'm only"

"Are you going to take me?" The child turned to look at him, his face showing no expression at all. But there was no need. For in his eyes, Jungkook could very well see.

"Please take me."

He didn't want to stay inside the walls anymore. And Jungkook understood. Having most of his life controlled by his parents, he knew damn well how sickening it is to be stuck in the four walls of other's dreams.

"I won't."

The child's face didn't fall, but he immediately turned to look back at the kids in the garden as if they were the most interesting species on earth.

"I won't just take you. I'll take care of you and treat you as my own son. I'll play all the sports you love with you. I'll take you to places you want to go. I'll teach you how to talk to girlsor guyswhatever it is your liking. I won't marry you off to someone just for my own good. I will make sure to spend as much time with you, not letting my work get in the way of us, kid. I'll love you like I never was."

And just like a miracle, the kid who looked as if he was capable of destroying anyone at such a young age, teared up.

"D-Don't say that. I don't even know you, sir. How am I supposed to trust that promise?"

"Because it is a promise I wish my father had kept."

***

"Are we there yet?" Jimin asked, only to receive an amused chuckle from his husband. The car had come to a halt, but none of them were talking aside from him.

"Kookie?" He asked yet again as he heard the sound of the car door opening. He knew Jungkook was going out and his guess was confirmed when the said man opened his own door and removed his seatbelt for him, stealing a kiss on the lips.

Jimin felt his cheeks heat up, then heard his children laugh behind him.

"Mommy's so whipped for dad!" He heard Jikook say, yet he controlled himself from groaning loudly at the name his child just called him.

Jungkook helped him get out by supporting him and showing him the way.

"How about the kids?"

"They're being taken care of."

Jimin gave Jungkook an odd look, but remembered he was still wearing the blindfold. "What do you mean?" He asked, suspicion ripe like venom rolling out of his tongue.

"You'll thank me later."

When it felt like they'd already walked up the hill for a good five minutes at the very least, Jungkook stopped and so did Jimin.

"Are you ready, baby?" Jungkook rested his chin on Jimin's right shoulder, causing the elder to have goosebumps when he felt his breath so close to his.

"Y-Yeah." Jimin almost couldn't choke the words out. He already wanted time to stop though he still hasn't seen what Jungkook had laid before him.

Upon hearing the elder, Jungkook slowly removed the blindfold. Not even a second after Jimin opened his eyes, he was left astounded.

Before him were his tiny but committed group of friends with their own families. If it wasn't for the bonfire in the middle and the stars lighting up the night sky, he wouldn't have seen them in the dark.

Taehyung sat on a black and white checkered mattress with Yoongi lying down next to a little eight year-old girl. Jimin noticed Tae mouth something to the kid, causing her to giggle and grab something in her pink bag which Jimin assumed a certain someone gave to her. Yoongi's snore could be heard even with the noise the children were making.

Namjoon stood next to his husband, Jin, whom Jimin had only met a month ago. Jin seemed to be stressed watching their adopted sons do whatever they pleased, yet Namjoon tried to help him keep his cool.

They had named each of the children after their own friends.

The oldest one, Hoya, danced around to loud trap music. He also wouldn't stop screeching.

Bwi was chasing after butterflies (Jin was thoroughly against naming his child this, but Namjoon insisted since Tae seemed to like it very much).

Peachy ran after Wang who kept annoying Bwi by saying he doesn't have to catch butterflies because he's a "king" and everyone and everything just comes to him with a single snap of his fingers, unlike Bwi whom all the animals and insects run away from because he's just so weird.

Peachy didn't look like he was giving up though Wang just kept ignoring him.

Meanwhile, Syub sat in a corner, judging everyone else.

"Where's Hobi?" Jimin asked though he didn't really have to since right after he'd said it, he heard joyful laughters echoing behind him.

"Mal! We missed you so much!" Jikook squealed as Hoseok gave him a horseback ride. The other two kids circling around them, asking Hoseok to carry them too, resulting to Jikook sticking his tongue out at them.

"Hey! Don't call your godfather a horse!"

"Jimin, it's fine! One shouldn't be afraid of who they are!" Jimin almost face-palmed upon hearing this.

"Oh, shit! They're already here!" Namjoon cursed, getting himself tackled by his own husband.

"What. Did. I. Tell. You?! No swearing in front of the kids, Kim Namjoon!"

"Oh, fuckㅡI mean, sorry, I won't do it again!"

As the two continued to wrestle each other, Taehyung ran towards Jimin, almost chocking the life out of him by giving him a tight hug.

"I missed you so much, Jiminie!"

"T-Tae . . . I-I can't bㅡ"

"Okay, that's enough!" Jungkook pushed Taehyung away from Jimin without seriously hurting him.

"Hey, what gives?!"

"You literally just saw each other last week and talked to each other this morning on the phone!" Jungkook yelled back. "Why you being all touchy-feely?!"

"Who's yelling at my wife?!" All of them (except for the kids who didn't give a shit about anything else but their own world), flinched and horror painted their faces when they heard Yoongi growl, but when they saw what was on his face, they all cracked up.

"What?! Why are you all looking at me like that?! What the hell is so funny?! And is no one really gonna answer my goddamn question?! Who yelled at Taehyung?!" His reaction only caused the others to laugh even more.

"Why are you laughing too, you traitor?!" Yoongi glared at Taehyung who was already dying in pure bliss on the floor.

"I'm sorry!" Taehyung said in between his laughs. "It's just thatㅡyour face!"

"What?! What the fuck is wrong with my face?!" Yoongi hurried and scrambled inside Jin's huge pink bag.

"Yo, what the hell do you think you're doing with my shit?!"

"I thought, 'no swearing'?!" Namjoon placed a hand on his chest as if to emphasize the fact that he felt so attacked.

"Why is everyone yelling, my ears are starting to bleed!"

"No one gives a shit what you think, Jeon Jimin!" Yoongi said and took out a mirror from Jin's bag. His eyes widened as soon as he saw his reflection.

"Who wants to die tonight?!"

His daughter immediately ran towards Taehyung who now sat on the floor with his arms opened out to her. She sat on his lap while they laughed as if Yoongi's doodled face was the funniest thing ever . . . or maybe it was just how much it ticked him off.

"Min Taehyung!"

And in that moment, Taehyung knew he fucked up. So he did what any human being afraid of the devil's wrath would do; run.

Of course, Yoongi ran after him. And Jimin found it ironic since he knew so well that Yoongi used to run away from Taehyung, not towards him. They were best friends and spent so much time together, but Yoongi often coated his feelings with rude remarks and insults. His own actions always betraying him in the end, though Jimin and Mark seemed to be the only ones who noticed.

While the two ran around chasing each other, Jin and Namjoon stood up and fixed their crumpled clothes before they walked towards Jimin, Jungkook and Hoseok.

Jikook told his godfather, Hobi, to put him down and when he did, he immediately ran towards his friends. Minkook and Angel following suit.

"Jikoooooook!" Hoya screeched even louder, making the others cover their ears except for Syub whose eye only twitched in irritation.

"Oh, look it's Hyung!" Wang, along with all the other kids, immediately ran towards Jikook. But of course, Hoya was already there, trying to hoard all his attention by hugging him.

Peachy and Syub were the only ones who didn't run towards Jikook. They looked at each other for a while, but didn't speak. It's as if they understood each other simply by doing that. Syub was the first one to look away.

Peachy ran towards Wang yet again, trapping him in his arms.

Then there was Minkook who tried to pull Hoya away from his brother, but the latter was stronger. Jikook gave Minkook an apologetic smile instead.

"Aren't they just cute?" Jungkook asked, hugging Jimin from the back yet again. His husband simply nodded, not taking his eyes off the children.

He could see himself and his friends in all of them. It felt amazingly beautiful.

"It's been awhile since we've all spent time together like this," Jin said as the five of them stood stuck, watching their family.

"This is a sight I'd never trade for anything else," added Namjoon.

"Yeah, I told you guys we should all live together," Hoseok added.

"What?" Jimin chuckled. "In like a castle or something? Aren't we too many to fit in one house?"

"Well, we're all rich anyway," Jungkook moved his chin away from Jimin's shoulder then shrugged. "We can buy a bigass house."

"Now, that's what I call swag." Yoongi came out of nowhere, causing Jungkook, Jimin and Hoseok to turn around.

"I heard 'castle'! Who's living in a castle?!"

"Ahh . . . Taehyung . . ." Jimin sighed, shaking his head. "Why do you gotta be so cute all the time?"

"Excuse me?" Yoongi and Jungkook spoke in unison, causing Hoseok, Jin and Namjoon to laugh.

Taehyung simply shot Jimin's chest with his index finger and winked. "Bang!" He said and giggled like the child he is.

Yoongi put the palm of his hand on his husband's face and shoved him away from Jimin.

"Y'all are so cute, I swear," said Hoseok who looked at the four in admiration.

"Why don't you just give Mark a call, Hobi?" Namjoon smirked and wiggled his eyebrows, causing Jin to elbow him. Hoseok simply narrowed his eyes at this.

"Ah, you guys are such losers," Jimin commented, causing the six to look at him in surprise, more amused and proud than offended. In fact, they took no offence at all for they saw how Jimin smiled with his eyes turning to moon crescents and his teeth showing.

They knew he was enjoying himself. He had everything he ever wanted. He's got all the love and people to love that he needed.

"But that's just exactly why I love you."

He was finally happy.

Ok but who else ships Jikook and Minkook? 'Cause I do.

I actually think of child Jimin as Minkook and child Jungkook as Jikook.

And my eyes are sweating. What do you mean I'm crying? Bad bitches don't cry. *sobs in korean*

This shit took so long because I was absolutely procrastinating. As I said, I really didn't want to end this book yet.
ㅠㅡㅠ But it was best to end it.

"Finifugal – hating endings; of someone who tries to avoid or prolong the final moments of a story, relationships or some other journey."
(Yes, that's me, alright.)

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed it! Don't forget to ask me anything  on this Epilogue for the Q&A! I'll also post trivia about this story, explain some things and other kinds of shit, SO PLEASE DON'T ARCHIVE THIS STORY YET.

I'll publish the Q&A in a week to be sure I get as much questions as possible. Until then, let's see each other on Polarize!

Again, thank you very much, guys! I hadn't expected people to give this book as much love as it has received. I only wrote this to be able to escape what I was feeling, to run from reality even for a little while.

A year and a half was sure a long journey. I might have not gotten my happy ending yet and you might be the same as me, but don't you worry. There's always gonna be tomorrow and each life has its meaning. You'll soon find your Jungkook or your Jimin.

Fuck, I'm preaching again. Bye.
