Freedom Means Famous: Ultimate Seventh Grade (Early "The One Series" #2)
Yes, we are still in this incarnation.
Hey, we must get through all the cringe and awkwardness to get to the good stuff!
Anyway, here is the second part of the whole Popstars:2004 series, Freedom Means Famous. I'm pretty sure I wrote a song with that title for Early!UTurn. I just have to find it in my files. Anyway, in this series, S Club 5 basically becomes S Club 8 2.0. Literally. That's what you all will be seeing for the next several uploads. At least you'll get an idea of what would eventually become the UTurn we all know, and maybe love(?).
Here's the current and final incarnation of UTurn (This is very spoilerly as I haven't even rewritten book 2 of The One Series yet. At least you'll get an early look!):
(I'm so proud of myself for making this! This is, literally, the only UTurn graphic where they all look like a coherent, legitimate pop group.)
So from right to left: Riley Brown (Normani), Bailey Richardson (Dove Cameron), Justin Harrison (Ross Lynch), Alyson Bauer (Sabrina Carpenter), Andrew Hawthorne (Logan Lerman), Amanda Hilles (Taylor Momson), Derreck Armstrong (Dylan O'Brien), and Stacie Morales (Becky G).
Now for the 2004/2005 incarnation of UTurn, known as S Club Juniors:
(And now back to my crappy photoshopping skills from when I was 15, and it was stuck like this until a few years ago. I honestly don't know what happened, but yeah.)
So based on this band banner, from right to left: Frankie (early!Alyson), Aaron (early!Andrew), Staci (early!Bailey/Libby), Calvin (early!Justin), Jay (in this lineup, early!Ethan), Rachel (early!Stacie), Hannah (early!Amanda), and Rochelle (early!Riley).
I honestly don't remember the new members' personalities very well, but I remember the three new girls were friends with Frankie and Staci. It's somewhat different from their current versions as Stacie was friends with Alyson, Bailey, and Libby; Amanda kept her distance from those girls; and Riley went to a public high school in Worcester!
Anyway, once again, the setting is in San Antonio, and I used a real school as the setting. I will block out the name of these real schools. Also, when I wrote this story, I was going through some mean girls shit at the time. So parts of it were based on my experiences with those girls at the time. Don't worry, I've been over those girls for a long-ass time.
This might be a two-part post as the chapters in this story are a little longer. Also, these chapters are slightly better written, but still just as cringey as ever. Plus you'll see that I was trying to be diverse with the cast at the age of 15, so don't get too offended. And this story is unfinished, but maybe I'll write a quick conclusion to this one. If I do that, then I'll add a third part to this story. I'll make an announcement chapter concerning that soon.
Here is Freedom Means Famous: Ultimate Seventh Grade.
(Pretty sure the girls that were not named were: Frankie, Rochelle, Staci, Rochelle, and Hannah. The other four girls above them were loosely named after the real mean girls I was dealing with at the time, which was in 2004. Yeah, I was a petty emo at the time.)

Chapter 1:S Club Juniors
It's the last weekend of Summer Vacation. The new teen-pop group S Club 5 released their new CD. The members were Frankie Frensky, Aaron Barnes, Staci Evans, Calvin Reid, and Jay Baxter.
Frankie and Staci were shopping with their friends, Rachel Gonzalez and Hannah Smitch. They were doing their last minute back-to-school shopping.
"I love this outfit!" said Staci
"You gonna need it," said eleven-year-old Tina Lee. Tina is Chinese and best school gossip ever.
"Hey Tina!" said Rachel.
"Hey, Rach! Anyway, the reason why you need it because Emma is gonna out-dress you."
"Damn," said Staci to herself.
Emma Bruton was Staci former friend. Emma was jealous of Staci because she was popstar.
"Hey, I'm Rochelle," said a black girl.
"R-rochelle W-wiseman?!" said Rachel.
"You wish! I'm Rochelle Smith."
"I'm Susannah Armstrong, but call me Suzie," said Susannah.
"You look like that red-head girl from Standing Still," said Frankie.
"I know, I get that a LOT!"
Anna James and Emma Bruton were just across from them. They were S Club 5's enemy.
"We need a clique, fast," said Emma.
"I know," said Anna.
"I bet Staci is gonna be popular."
"We have to stop her."
"How?"
"I don't know, but I'll figure out."
S Club 5 and their new friends were having pizza before going to the movies. They were talking about adding new members to their group.
"If we add new members, we should be S Club Juniors," said Frankie.
"Who should we add?" asked eleven-year-old Calvin Reid.
"Who 'bout Rachel and Hannah?" asked eleven-year-old Staci Evans.
"Cool, they can sing AND dance," said Frankie.
"How 'bout me?" Rochelle asked.
"Hey, weren't you from Miami last Christmas?"
"Yeah."
"But you said your name was Faye."
"That's my middle name."
Rochelle was with S Club 5 and Rachel and Hannah while they were having their Winter break.
"We know you can sing and dance, so...you in?"
"Sure!"
"What about Suzie?" Hannah asked.
"I don't sing, but I can dance," said Suzie.
"I guess were S Club 8," said Rachel.
S Club 5 mumbled. They thought it was somehow impossible to be the "S Club 8" clone. Their voices, dance moves, their styles, and their personalities would make too much like S Club 8.
"How does S Club Juniors sound?" Staci asked quickly.
"Sure. We seem bit old for it, but it'll do. For now," they said.
They deal was done. They were officially S Club Juniors (8).
(A/N: Apparently Rochelle (early!Riley) was going by a different name, but it apparently life happens, so yeah.)

Chapter 2:New Girls
It was August 15th, 2005 and it was the first day of seventh grade. Newly-formed group S Club Juniors were getting ready for their math class.
Everyone knew how much they dread math class. They rather eat bugs than go through torture.
The S Club girls were in the girls' bathroom putting on last-minute make-up. While they were painting their fingernail, Tina came to tell them something.
"I heard there'll be eight new kids coming to the school."
"How many guys and girls are coming?" asked Staci.
"Eight girls and eight guys, plus Suzie and Rochelle."
"Cool."
The school bell rang signaling that is time to go to class. Calvin, Staci, Tina, and Frankie noticed two new girls.
"Seventh graders, these are our new students, Tina and Krista," said the math teacher.
"That Krista girl looks familiar," said Staci.
"What do you mean?" asked Calvin.
"I think I've seen her before."
"She's got no sense of style whatsoever," said Frankie.
"Look at the way she's dress and that hairstyle?!" said Tina Lee.
"That is SO last year."
"Yeah, I know."
During lunch, the girls decided to sit with the new girls. Hannah started to recognize the new girls. During the summer, Hannah worked at Starbucks, the coffee-shop.
"Hi, I'm Frankie," said Frankie.
"I'm Staci Evans," she said.
"I'm Rachel," said Rachel.
"I'm Hannah," she said.
"I'm Rochelle."
"I'm Suzie."
"I'm Krista and these are my friends, Tina, Daniela, and Kathy," said Krista.
"'Friends'? What do you mean?" asked Frankie.
"We've been friends since last summer," said Tina.
"Oh."
"That hairstyle is SO elementary," said Staci.
"Excuse me!" replied Krista.
"I used to wear that hairstyle, but I always have my hair loose," said Frankie.
"Do you straighten your hair with a flat iron?" asked Kathy.
"I do now."
"Do you speak Spanish?" asked Krista.
"I'm Jewish, not Hispanic."
"Oh."
"I'm Anglo-American," said Staci.
"I'm also Anglo-American," said Hannah.
"I'm Black," said Rochelle.
"I'm Russian," said Suzie.
"I'm the only Hispanic," said Rachel.
"Do you speak Spanish?" Krista asked again."
"You know, not EVERYONE speaks Spanish. Even I don't speak it."
"You know she's right," said Frankie.
"Do you miss speaking it?" asked Tina.
"Not really."
"We all really live in Boston," said Suzie.
"So you're new here," said Daniela.
"Suzie and Rochelle are. We lived here for a couple of years," said Frankie.
"Let's meet at the coffee-shop after-school," said Krista.
(A/N: Yeah, I really was trying to be diverse with the characters. I guess I was ahead of everyone else at the time? And as you can see Frankie was turning into what Alyson is now.)
