Plants
Hi everyone, welcome to another chapter of world building advice! I'm sorry this hasn't been updated in a while, my upload schedule is hectic at the moment. Today, we're going to be looking at plants, and using some points from an article from the blog Ink Blots and Coffee Stains.
▶Plants are important for descriptions, especially for medicines and diet, as well as your terrain.
▶It doesn't matter whether the plants play a big role or not, you should plan a few plants.
▶They can be cool, and help the characters survive. For example, berries of some sort.
▶This could actually help advance a plot, for example, a weed that grows in a remote place could be the only cure for a family member's illness.
This is actually part of a series of blog posts by this person on world building, you could check it out and find more resources as well to help you on your way.
