"OH! HERE COMES OUR FIRST YEARS!" Present Mic calls as you recall your training which mostly consisted of you and Tetsutetsu sparring and you and Eijiro going for runs together (although you trained with Momo and Ochako too but hey your bro and future boyfriend are more important)
"IT'S THE U.A. SPORTS FESTIVAL! THE ONE TIME IN THE YEAR WHERE OUR FLEDGLING HEROES COMPETE IN A RUTHLESS GRAND BATTLE!" Present Mic announces as you assess strategies in your head over known quirks but that would lead to you betraying... no stop thinking like that it won't do you good
"First up... you know who I'm talking about! The miraculous rising stars who brushed off a hero attack with their steely willpower! The first years of the hero course!! CLASS A!!" Mic yells in pure excitement as you and your classmates walk out of your waiting area, deafening cheers boom in the arena and you catch a glimpse of your parents cheering all too excitedly
"That's my girl!!" Hagane yells as he jumps up making you sweat drop in embarrassment
'Parents are so embarrassing' you think with a small wave to them
"Why are people cheering so loudly!" You shout looking around in pure astonishment
"I'm not quite sure, it surprises me too ribbit" Tsuyu comments although not expressing the excitement in the way you do
"NOW FOR THE ATHLETE'S OATH!!" Midnight announces with a crack of her whip as your class gets in their spot and people instantly go crazy
"Oh! The first years' ref this year is the R rated hero Midnight!" Someone shouts as you wonder why Midnight in  simple terms is so... well extra
"You nervous (y/n)?" Eijiro questions with concern as a chill runs down your spine, nerves are getting to you because there are so many other quirks and you can't even wear your hero costume
"Slightly." You answer with your fist clenched so Eijiro lays his hand on your shoulder and you look over to see his smile
"You're tough, I know this and I believe in you so show the world of our oncoming number one hero!" Eijiro reassures you making your eyes widen
"Number one hero?" You whisper in surprise
"Yes and even if you don't make it you'll be my hero." Eijiro responds with a calmer smile and a blush so you smile and have to close your eyes tight to combat the tears
"I'll be your hero. Continue having faith in me" you respond with a new found strength
"Good, now just believe in the me that believes in you" Eijiro reminds you before looking up to watch the end of midnight's presentation
"Class 1-A's class representive is Katsuki Bakugo" Midnight announces earning murmurs of shock and growls of annoyance in 1-B
"The athlete's oath... MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT I'LL GET FIRST PLACE!!" Bakugo screams making Eijiro's jaw drop open
"What the hell is going through his mind" you growl in annoyance of the ticking time bomb
"D-did that just happen?" Eijiro gasps from the action his friend just took
"You'll all make great stepping stones I'd say." Bakugo tells you all making 1-B go off in a rage, well you are included
"TRY IT BAKUGO!!" You scream, ready to pulverize the asshole
"Overconfident jerk!! I'll be the one to crush him!" Tetsutetsu growls from 1-B so you yell
"He's mine!"
"Not if I get him first!!" Tetsutetsu yells back
"Whoa whoa (y/n) don't role up 1-B!" Eijiro yells as he grabs your arm so you scoff and look away
"he's disowned" you grumble earning a blank face from Eijiro
"Huh?" He responds in confusion
"The fateful first event of this year is!!," Midnight yells as you and Eijiro return your attention to the R rated hero "the obstacle course race!!"
"This is a race between every member of the eleven classes and the course is a four kilometer run around the stadium itself" Midnight announces as everyone gets in their position but you and Eijiro don't leave each other's sides just yet
"But also remember as we support having freedom anything goes as long as you don't go off course heh heh. Racers to your positions!" Midnight announces making the air grow tense
'It's time for me'
"GO!"
'To show who can be the boss!'
You dash through the crowd of people without Eijiro by your side and instantly realize that the gate is the first challenge
'Torodoki is going to use his ice so if I can catch up!' You think as you squeeze through until you see Torodoki trigger his quirk so you throw off your shirt to use your quirk to the best of its ability and wrap some chains around his torso as he begins to skate away
"What the hell!?-" Torodoki curses as he looks behind himself just to see you there, embarrassingly to him and you he notices your lack of a shirt and instantly looks away before zigzagging his skating pattern so you could be thrown off course
'Hold on!' Your internal voice grunts as you tighten your grip to your chains in hopes that they won't be broken off without your will
"Don't you think you can get away so easily Half and half, Kusuri!!" Bakugo screams as he blasts himself through the air, you instantly decide that your chains have had enough and allow them to fall and run with your own running ability now
"I'm so close now it's time for my technique" The voice of Mineta rings so you look behind you and realize that the peeve is behind you
'Shit' you curse as you try to layer your back with your chains so if he tries to stick to you it won't work
"Killer grape-" Mineta yells before getting knocked out of the way by a robot
"Mineta!!" Midoriya screams out of worry
"Thank goodness!" You sigh before running faster and eventually stopping by Torodoki's side at the sight of a barrier of zero pointers from the entrance exam
"So these are the faux villains they used for the test? Torodoki comments so you nod
"Too bad they didn't give us anything more threatening" Torodoki sighs as he activates his right side for his ice quirk and you prepare for a sneak attack from him and also prepare to fight the robots
"There's a beam!" You gasp as your quirk wraps around it and Torodoki freezes your spot with the robots
"It appears you are smarter than I give you credit for" Torodoki sighs before running off and you give chase
"Careful the robots are unstable so they will fall" Torodoki warns so you look at the incoming contenders then your hands
"That's no problem"
You wrap your chains around Torodoki once more then release him after you've pulled yourself to his spot, you both are neck and neck now
"1-A's Torodoki and Tetsutetsu are neck and neck!! Torodoki is bursting through and sabotaging others while Tetsutetsu is using her quirk to the max of its strength and is using it to stay in the lead!"
'I'm going to try my damnest to defeat Bakugo and Torodoki, I WILL BE A PRO HERO!'

A/N: ok I have a small competition for you all cause why not!!! I have a quote hidden in this chapter from a anime that I watch and if you guess the quote (it's not entirely the quote cause I added a small bit to it) I'll write a oneshot for you but it will be the first guesser and I will leave a small hint, it is an anime on Netflix that isn't widely spoken of.
