Sunghoon

"Ya! Sunghoon!" I heard someone say behind me. I could tell who it was by his voice.

"Hey, why aren't you responding??"

Turning at him who was now beside me, "What do you mean?" I grinned as he rolls his eyes.

"So Mr. class president, you guys got any new student? Why did our section get so many new students ughh."

I look at him then softly chuckled, "I doubt we get a new student—most new students are put in Corvina Class." I simply stated.

"But don't worry Jake. I'm sure you'll get along with the new students somehow!" I patted his back and walk away.

A teacher was calling me awhile back so I needed to be there for now. I look back to see Jake already talking with a few new faces.

The corners of my lips slightly curved. Tskk he was seriously worried for nothing. I shake my head at the thought.

I arrive at our room where a teacher was there sitting down. It was still early so I was the first student there pretty much.

"Ah Sunghoon! Its nice seeing you again." I briefly bowed before asking, "What do you need sir?"

"Oh I just wanted to give you the class list for Class Eclipse, it seems like the students in this class are very disciplined!" He says handing me a class masterlist.

I simply scanned the list when my eyes caught something. Han Yuri.

That name doesn't ring a bell in Roseclair. We have a new student?

"Sir, do we have a new student assigned in Class Eclipse?"

"Oh right! We do have one! I almost forgot to tell you. Please welcome them well!" He says standing up, pats my shoulder and walked towards the door.

It's been awhile since a new student was place in our class.

I thought. That's interesting.

"Also— Sunghoon." I heard Sir. Nam by the door. "Have Jungwon tour her around the campus." Then he shuts the door.

I just stand there for awhile before turning to the door, "Ahh Jungwon won't be too fond of this." I mumbled, smiling to myself.

While students enter the room, I watch each and every class officer stood in front to introduce themselves, until it was my turn.

The door then came open revealing Maya and a student.

Must be the new one.

Maya guided her seat which was the seat beside me. I was reserving that for someone else but oh well.

I stood up and made my way to the front. I scan the room, everyone was looking at me.

Just then Maya raised her hand to speak which I immediately allowed her.

"Sorry to interrupt but fortunately, a new student is here in our room, would it be okay if they introduce themselves?"

Hearing this, I look at the new student then back to her. "Ofcourse."

All eyes moved their focus towards her. I could feel the nervous feeling she was getting. Everyone felt that during their first days here in Roseclair.

As she introduce herself, a sudden feeling came to me. Something is wrong.

No— actually it felt both wrong and right at the same time.

Hearing her last words, I grab the attention of the class to finish off my introduction because I'm slightly getting sick standing up here in front.

After I finished, I was about to walk back towards my seat when I remembered what Mr. Nam said earlier. Looking at Jungwon, I sigh.

"Hey, Mr. Vice President!"

As if he knew, his eyes immediately darted on to me. Pfft.

I smirk, "Would you be so kind as to escort the new student around the campus today?"

I contain my laughter as I can almost hear him groaning inside. Then as if he was testing me— "Why do I have to?"

Everyone was clearly amused, shocked and confused. Whispers were everywhere.

This is seriously not a good first impression Jungwon-ah. I thought, trying to keep a poker face. I raise my brow at him.

"It appears that Maya has already acquainted herself with the new student—she’s even gone so far as to extend a welcome. Wouldn't it be more appropriate for her to conduct the tour, considering it's within her designated responsibilities?"

I couldn't help but smile knowing this was about to happen, in one breath, I said— "I see what you mean, but aren't you the Student Council Vice President? Surely, if anyone is expected to set the standard for hospitality, it would be you."

You cannot mess with someone who is a member of the debate club.

"Your presence carries weight—much more than a casual introduction from Maya. Besides, wouldn't a guided tour from someone of your standing leave a far more lasting impression? Someone who embodies the ideals of Roseclair?"

I saw how his face flickered to curiosity—amusement then to admiration.

Feeling the weigh of defeat, "Ah you got me there Mr. Park. I'll tour the new student. Don't ya worry." He softly chuckles as I simply nod my head.

Being Class President is hard sometimes. You end up fighting mentally from things made of pure evil purpose. Or atleast here in Roseclair.

I sat back down, preparing myself for this first day, I'm usually really busy during the first few days here at Roseclair.

One class ended, led by Ms. Kim, she always attends her classes even in the first day and almost immediately starts the discussion too.

I felt the presence of the new student, named Yuri right beside me. I wasn't in the mood to talk to her right now, maybe later I guess.

Then for the next few classes, no teacher really came in and most of the students were either sleeping, playing or going out.

I look at Yuri to see that she was simply writing down notes from Ms. Kim's discussion earlier.

"Hows your first day so far?" I, feeling like talking now, initiated to talk to her.

"Uhm not bad so far actually." She smiles. "Ah... you understand Ms. Kim's lecture awhile ago?" I asked because usually, nobody understands her lectures.

We usually self study or ask the top ranking students for help.

"Oh, yes.. I do." I heard her say.

Lie. I immediately knew.

I grinned, "That's great, most students don't really understand her lectures at first by the way."

I tried to ease her worries as she simply nods. Looking back at the room, almost everyone left. Must have gotten bored or something.

All the cheeky loud students are placed in Class Valmont so that's no surprise that this class could be quite boring.

Stretching my arms, I better get going, I need to arrange some things in my club. I stood up, looked at Jungwon who was still sitted on his seat.

He nod his head at me, understanding my message then I left the room.
