Carnivals Are More Fun With Friends

Note: This is a long one-shot. I hope you enjoy it though!

Pairing: H2OVanogla

Normally, Daithi would go to the carnival by himself. Mainly because nobody else really wanted to go with him, but that was okay, since he was happy that he was even there.

He loved the carnival. The smells, the sights, the tastes - it was all wonderful to him.

He was going again this time, but with some differences. Those differences were Jonathan and Evan, who were staying over and insisted on going with him. Of course Daithi had said yes, and the two instantly got ready. "Jesus Christ you two, have you never been to a carnival before?" He asked.

"I've never been to one, but it sounds fun," Evan admitted.

Jonathan and Daithi both gasped.

"What the hell is wrong with you, you-you damn heathen!" Jonathan declared. "How have you never been to a damn carnival?"

"It was never near us! Plus we already were using most of our money for hockey."

"Well, get ready for the best day of your life then!" Daithi promised.

When they got there, Jonathan and Evan were practically bouncing in their spots. Daithi couldn't believe how excited they were for a carnival - he loved them to death, but he wasn't that excited. "Jesus, are you two like, fucking five or something?" He asked.

"Yep!" Jonathan replied before him and Evan began giggling.

Daithi rolled his eyes, "I swear I'm gonna have to get a child leash for the both of ya."

"Hey! We're adults, we'll behave," Evan protested.

"Then act like adults, and don't wander off."

Evan and Jonathan stuck their tongues out at him, and he just rolled his eyes again.

When they got in, Daithi pulled them off to the side to figure out where they wanted to go.

"Can we get cotton candy?" Jonathan asked.

"I wanna do the bottle toss first," Evan said.

"I said cotton candy first, so that's what we're going to do."

"Uh, no, we're gonna do the bottle toss first."

"We can do both, god, calm down you two. Now come on."

He gave Evan the money to go to the bottle toss and told Jonathan to stay with him while he went and got the cotton candy. He got the biggest thing he could manage to get and walked back to the booth Evan and Jonathan were at, which wasn't that far away.

Evan and Jonathan hadn't even gotten to pay yet, they were too busy arguing with each other on who got to go first.

"Nogla gave me the money, so I go first. Besides, you wanted cotton candy first!"

"Yeah, but that was in the past! He's getting the cotton candy for me and I wanna play. I'm the guest, and guests should go first."

"I'm the guest too, idiot."

"Oh yeah..."

"I didn't realize you two would bicker so much, god damn," Daithi commented, before taking the money out of Evan's hands and paying the man at the booth.

The two looked at Daithi with open mouths before they looked at each other and shut them.

He handed half of the rings to Evan and the other half to Jonathan. "Don't you wanna play?" Jonathan asked.

"Nah. I'm not that good at bottle toss. Plus you guys seem to want to play even more than I do."

"Are you sure? I can give you one of my rings."

"Yes, I'm sure-"

"Yes! I got one!" Evan cheered. He had already started, and the ring he threw was his second one.

"Oh, nice shot, Ev!" Daithi congratulated.

"Aw, you started without me, you bitch!" Jonathan said, laughing playfully afterwards and lightly pushing Evan. "Now lemme try."

"Go on, Delirious. You think you can make it?"

"Oh yeah, I can make it. I can make your ass, too, bitch."

"What?" Both Daithi and Evan started laughing. Jonathan ignored them and instead threw the ring. He got it on a bottle first try.

"Oh! Did you see that? I'm-I'm the damn champion of this game!

"You still have to get the rest of the rings."

"Oh, fuck."

They all began giggling.

"Evan, you still have the rest of your rings, throw some more," Daithi said.

Evan got only one more ring on it, the last one he had missing the bottle.

It was Jonathan's turn to get the rest of his rings onto the bottles. He got the next two on, and was hyping up for the last one.

"If you don't get this, you're not getting your cotton candy," Evan teased.

"What! You can't do that, I'll get my cotton candy whether you like it or not," he argued, and then threw. The ring missed. "Dammit!"

"Well, I guess you're not getting your cotton candy now..."

"Hey!"

"You're getting your cotton candy, Jonathan. Here." Daithi handed him the cotton candy, and Jonathan's eyes lit up.

"Fuck yeah!"

The guy behind the counter cleared his throat, "You guys got more than half of the rings on the bottles, you can pick a small prize."

The three looked at each other before grinning widely. "Okay, which one guys? There's Pokemon, there's a couple of stuffed bears, and some owl plushies-"

"I want the bear!"

"I want the owl!"

Jonathan and Evan looked at each other in surprise. Daithi sighed. "We can only get one, guys."

"Do a Pokemon then!"

"I've never played Pokemon..."

"Evan, you damn heathen, what's wrong with you?"

"Nothing, I just never really got into Pokemon! Jeez, leave me be."

"Canada is messed up, man, I swear."

"We're so much better than America."

"No you ain't!"

Daithi sighed and turned the the guy behind the counter, "Just give me an owl plushie before they start trying to kill each other." The guy laughed and handed him the plushie.

"What?! Oh, come on!"

"Hell yeah! Good choice, Daithi."

Daithi rolled his eyes, "I only got it cause you got cotton candy, Jon. Here ya go, Ev."

"Fuck yeah! Oh my god, this is the fluffiest plushie I've ever held," Evan stated once he had it in his hands.

"Lemme see," Jonathan said, reaching over. Evan pulled it away from him with a grin.

"Nope, you don't get to touch it cause you didn't want it."

"Wh- Hey! I'm the main reason we one that thing, and I all wanna do is touch it! Come on, man," Jonathan whined as he tried to reach for it.

"Can you two at least walk while you argue? I don't wanna be stuck here all night because of you two," Daithi said, pulling them along.

Eventually Evan did let Jonathan touch the owl as they wandered the park playing the different games, and Jonathan gasped loudly when he did. "This is the softest damn thing I've ever felt, what the hell?"

"I know, right? Now give it back, it's mine." Jonathan handed it back, and gasped again. "Oh my god, can we ride the ferris wheel?"

Evan's eyes lit up, "Oh, yeah! We gotta ride the ferris wheel, come on, please?"

And that's how Daithi had the two looking up at him with puppy eyes and begging to ride the ferris wheel. Daithi found himself unable to say no; they had the best puppy eyes he'd ever seen.

"Alright, alright, we can go on the ferris wheel-"

"HELL YEAH!" They both screamed in unison, high fiving each other.

"Jesus Christ, the one thing you two agree on and you decide to blow out everyone's eardrums," Daithi groaned.

"Sorry," they apologized before dragging him towards the ferris wheel.

The line was extremely long, and Daithi couldn't understand how they still wanted to ride it.

It was probably an hour or so before they were finally close enough. "We're finally there!" Jonathan said excitedly.

"Hell yeah," Evan grinned. Daithi just groaned.

"Can this line be any longer?"

"Dude, we're almost there, relax!"

"We've been waiting for an hour, Evan, don't give me that shit."

"I think you're over-exaggerating," Evan said, and Jonathan began to giggle.

"Over-exaggerating my ass," Daithi grumbled. Evan and Jonathan were both giggling at this point.

They were the next ones in line, and they got in, Jonathan going first, then Daithi, and then Evan. He didn't know what would happen if he let Evan and Jonathan sit next to each other, which is why he chose the middle spot. Plus he was skinny enough to fit.

While they made their way to the top, Jonathan and Evan couldn't stop talking about how excited they were to get to the top.

"What's with you two and the top of the ferris wheel? I mean, yeah, you'll get a great view and everything, but you guys are talking about it like it's the best thing in the world."

"That's cause it is," Jonathan said, and Evan agreed.

"Alright, whatever you say, weirdo."

"Hey! I'm not a weirdo! You're the weirdo," Jonathan pouted, and Evan laughed.

"You're probably the weirdest one out of us all, Jon."

"Am not!"

"Are too."

"I am not-"

"-And we're at the top, boys! Look at that view!"

The two gasped and shut up instantly.

The view was pretty, really. They had been there for a couple of hours and the sun was starting to go down.

Daithi wasn't paying attention to either of them, too busy looking out at the view, when he felt two pairs of lips, one each on one of his cheeks. His eyes widened, and then Evan and Jonathan pulled back, giggling at Daithi's now flushed face.

"Wh-wha?"

The two giggled even harder, "Surprise! We like you," Jonathan said, grinning at him.

Daithi stared at him, and then turned to Evan, who was also grinning at him. "The whole thing was our plan to ask you out. So, will you?"

Daithi covered his face with his hands to hide his growing blush, "Y-yeah..."

Jonathan and Evan grinned even more and kissed him again. Daithi wasn't sure how he hadn't passed out yet from being so flustered.

Once they got down, they decided to go home.

"Well, that was fun!" Jonatalhan chirped.

"Yeah! You should invite us again next time you go, Daithi."

"I think he has too since we're all together now."

"Oh yeah, you're right. We're coming with you whether you like it or not, then!"

Daithi sighed, but smiled. "You guys are such dorks."

"Yeah, but we're your dorks."

Daithi couldn't help but to blush at the cheesy line, and Evan and Jonathan laughed. "That's the cheesiest damn thing you've ever said, where'd you learn that?"

"I learned it from Brock, who else?"

"Of course Brock gave you shitty pick up lines," Daithi muttered.

"I wouldn't say "shitty" because, you know, they worked, but whatever."

Jonathan giggled and Daithi rolled his eyes again. "Just shut up and look pretty back there, okay?"

"I thought he already was doing that?" Jonathan said, and Evan smacked his arm playfully.

"Oh, shut up."

Jonathan laughed again, and Daithi rolled his eyes once more. He smiled as they continued to have their playful banter as they went home, glad he had found these two losers.
