It was a nice day out, the sun was blazing, the air was warm so, what better way to kick the heat than by swimming. Grabbing my towel, I raced out to Lucy's car where all the other girls were waiting. Once I sat down, Lucy pressed on the gas sending me to fly back just a little in my seat. She must really want to get to the pool. Now safe in the car, we all talked about the plans for this summer. For me, I was mostly going to sit at home and go swimming with everyone. We listen to music, yelled out the windows to strangers, we were really having a great time. We pulled into the packed parking lot. We looked for some free spaces and managed to find one way in the back.

"Make sure you grab everything cause I don't want to come back."

We get everything, hats, sunblock, flip-flops, everything you could possibly imagine. We made our way to the big pool, little kids were there, teenagers, adults, everyone was here. We made it inside and paid for some lockers to put our stuff in, I shared my locker with Erza and Lucy since I didn't bring a lot of stuff. "Is everyone ready?" Erza looked to all of us and we nodded back to her, Lucy was on her phone, smiling like a creepier. "Lucy? who are you talking to?" She looked at me but never told who she was talking too.

Stepping out into the hot sun I could already feel the heat getting to my head. We found a nearby table and set our stuff down. Wendy didn't feel like swimming so she watched our stuff and was texting whoever Lucy was earlier. I put my foot into the water, it was so cold but it felt really good. Slowly it got to my knees, waist then the rest of body. I hummed, feeling the cold water really felt nice today. Levy was next to me and we watched Erza throw Juvia and Lucy into the water before herself jumped in. "This feels so nice, I could stay in this all day." Levy closed her eyes as she sank lower and lower into the water, I giggled at her, see her floating away from me.

I look over and see Wendy and Lucy talking at the edge, Lucy looked very happy for some reason. I swam over to her once I safely pass the splash fight Erza was having with Juvia, who was simply crying in the corner. "Lucy, what is going on. you're being very secretive.

"You'll see in about five minutes. You worry too much, just have fun today alright?"

Five more minutes. Someone has to be coming? I wonder who though? I sit in the water, to think over the people who could be coming. The only person I can think about the boys Natsu, Gray, Gajeel, and Jellal, but who else? I soon got my answer when I saw all the guy, I waved to all of them, but my waving stopped short when I saw Zeref. What is he doing here? I get over to Lucy and grab her by the arm, she sees just how red my face was and snickers close to my ear. "What's the matter Mavis, I thought you like seeing Zeref half naked."

I hid just a little behind her arm when I saw Zeref setting his stuff down next to mine. I've hung out with Zeref a lot but, I've never seen him with no shirt on. Everyone knows I have a crush on him, I always get teased for it. "Don't be shy, go talk to him." She pushes me to the edge of the pool right was Zeref was sitting. "Mavis, hi. The water feels great huh."

"Y-Yeah, it feels, really good."

He sits around on the edge still, while I, on the other hand, wants nothing more than to sink to the bottom of the pool. A small splash hits me, I wipe the water from my face only to be met by Zeref's wet messy hair along with his wet face. "That does feel really nice."  He leans his head back a little, some of his hair sticking to his forehead. I-I don't know what to say!

"Uh-I'm h-hungry!"

I pull myself out of the pool and run right over to the table, grab my towel and run off to the locker room. That's what you came up with. I'm hungry, are you kidding me, Mavis. I press my hands to my face, groaning at my idiotic comment. "Mavis you in here?" I hear Lucy calling out to me, she turns the corner to see me slumped on the floor. "Mavis, what happened. You just took off, you almost knocked Levy down."

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean too."

"Do you need to talk?"

I nod my head, she sits next to me and I tell her everything that just happened, hearing it once again make me feel really dumb, hearing it again made me want to cry. Lucy gave me a hug as I cried slightly on her shoulder. "He thinks I'm dumb Lucy." She coos me, patting my back. "He doesn't think that at all." By now all the other girls come in to see us on the floor. They ask what the problem is but, I don't want to repeat myself again. I take the towel around to wipe my eyes but before I could, I notice that the towel around me wasn't mine. "Mavis, where did that towel come from?" Where's my towel?  I think back to when I got out of the pool, then I remember that Zeref put his towel right next to mine. "Damnit. This is Zeref's towel.." I pull it off me and groan knowing now I have to return his towel to him.

I stand up and have the towel draped over my arm, I step out looking for him. Not in the pool, not in the food court. Where is he? I feel a tap on my shoulder, I turn around to see Zeref standing with my small towel. I was going to say sorry for taking his towel but, I couldn't help but look him over. His skin was pale, but the darkness of his hair brought out his eyes. His shoulders were broad, right now to his chest. His arms were toned but not as toned as his abs. V-line!!

I closed my eyes and held his towel out. "I'm so sorry I took this!" I felt the towel be swapped out for mine then a pat on the head. The blood rushed to my face, I looked up to see him smiling at me. "Why are you saying sorry, it was just an accident." I blush even harder when I notice I'm eye level with his abs. I spring up, clutching my towel even harder now. "O-Okay. Um, I'll see you later then." Before I could go, he catches my arm with his hand. "Wait, I want to get something to eat. You said you were hungry, I'll buy."

I'm to shy to eat. I look at the chips and cheese in front of me. I take one chip at a time and eat in small bites. "Thank you, for buying this for me. I'll pay you back." He stops midway to grab a napkin, "No this is on me, really." I smile and start to take bigger bites of my chips. This is nice, I never thought I'd go on a...date? Is this a date?  I was so caught up in my head I accidentally knocked his drink onto him thinking it was my own. "O-Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry." I grabbed a few napkins and helped cleaned himself up, got his chest, hands then his stomach, I didn't even notice what I was touching till about halfway through.

"I-I didn't mean to- I-mmm"

I was red once more, I could barely look him in the eyes. He took my hands into one of his hands then the other was placed under my chin. "Don't worry about it. I didn't mind it at all. In fact..." He leans his face closer to mine, the heat I was already feeling was not getting an even hotter cause of him. "I really liked it."

"H-Huh, you l-liked it."

"Mhm~"

He kissed the tip of my nose before breaking away from me. He grabbed his towel, then started to walk off. "Mavis, how about you and I go on a date tomorrow night. I'll pick you up around 7. Sound good?"

"YES!-I mean, yes that would be lovely."

"Alright, I'll see you then."

He winked at me, the walks off to meet everyone else. I, on the other hand, rush off to tell Lucy the good news, and of course to help me pick out an outfit for the date.
