"I'll come back I promise, and when I do we can be together."

"I'll wait for you, even if it means years. I'll wait for you to return."

We had one last kiss before he boarded the plane. He took one last look at me, gave a warm smile then disappeared. I held those words close to my heart, I know he'll be back. He wouldn't forget to come back for me right?

"Mavis!"

"Ah, What."

"You were spacing out again. What is on your mind that is more importation then your wedding."

Zera placed her hands on her hips waiting for my response. "It's nothing important anymore. sorry, what were we talking about?" She rolled her eyes then went back to fixing the plates on the table. In a few day I'll being getting married to Yuri, someone I've been friends with for a long time. About a year ago he asked me to marry him, I don't know why I said yes, but I did.

"Wow this place looks wonderful."

Zera and I both saw Yuri walk in and look at everything in the reception hall. "Good Job Mavis, and of course you too Zera." Zero just nodded her head and continued working, I felt his arms wrap around my waist and kiss the side of my head. "I can't wait, you'll be my wife and I'll be so happy. Wont you?" All I could do was nod, I didn't want to say what I was really thinking.

"Yuri, I gotta go check on something for the wedding. I'll see you later."

I got out of his grasp, kissed his cheek, then left him alone. Walking on the sidewalk, I went to my favorite spot a bench overlooking a little river. The sun was hitting it just right, making the water look like diamonds. This spot became my favorite after him and I sat here all night and talked, this is also the place where he told me he loved me.

"Where did you go Zeref? It's been years sense I've heard from you. Did you forget about me and move on to someone better?"

A lump formed in my throat, thinking about him with someone else hurts my heart. I left the area and ran home with my head lowered from others. I got to my place, but someone was at my door. I thought it was the drunk neighbors thinking that my place was their place, but something about this guy seemed different. "Hey, get away from my door!" He turned around to see who was talking to him and when he did my eyes grew wide. "Zeref..."

He to got wide eyes and ran over to me. He engulfed me in a tight hug and sobbed quietly on my shoulder. I buried my head into his chest and cried harder than ever. He cupped my checks into his hand. "Mavis I-I'm back."He leaned in close to my face, he was about to kiss me, but I turned my head out of his hands. "We need to talk, lets get inside." I moved pass him so I can unlock my front door. He followed right behind me then shut the door.

"This place hasn't changed much." He picked up the picture by the door of Yuri and I at the beach last summer. "Huh, look at Yuri and you. Nice to see you were not alone when I was gone." He set the picture down a little hard, while I went over and sat on the couch with my knees brought up to my chest. "Zeref..I need to tell you something." He looked a little panicked when I said those words. I have to say something. He came right over to me and crouched down so he can see me better. "What is it."

"I don't know how to tell you this, but- I'm getting married in a few days."

A shocked expression shadows his face, I didn't want to look at him directly, I knew if I did I'd see pain and sadness in his eyes. "Please say something..." Why didn't he say anything right away. Maybe he doesn't care about me anymore. "Congratulations. I wish you two the best." He keeps his head down and goes towards the door. That's it, no yelling or anything?!

"That's it? you're not upset?"

"Why would I be. If this is what you wanted, then I can't stand in your way."

"Are you serious..."

I look over to him, seeing a confused look on his face. I get to my feet and come right over to him. "Are you really standing here, telling me that you're okay with this?" He lowers his head a little, enough so his bangs cover his eyes. "Yes I am. There is nothing I can do but be happy for you." The way he said that sounded like he was gritting his teeth the whole time.

"Zeref.., H-how can you just do nothing. Say something, do something. Don't just stand there and let this get to you."

"You want me todo something?"

When he raised his head, I heard my heart beat in my ears. I saw that same look on his face when he was about to take charge, to make me succumb to him. He grabs my wrist and pulls me close to him, he hooks his arm around my waist and kisses me roughly on the lips. Feeling this old feeling again makes me start to tear up. It's been so long, I've almost forgot how crazy he can get when he's like this. "I'm so sorry mavis..."

He picks me up and I wrap my legs around his waist. "It's okay, you're here now. Let's just enjoy this night together." Zeref walks us into the bedroom and kicks the door close. All I can say that night was one of pure bliss and making up for lost time, to be back in the arms of the man I truly love, but after our fun was over and he was sleeping I looked over to the rind sitting on the dresser next to me. I'm so sorry.

"Mavis you look so beautiful in your dress."

Juvia was practically gushing over my dress and how she wished she could get a dress like what when her Gray steps up and asks her to be his wife. Zera was fixing the bottom of my dress and Lucy was making sure the veil was centered. "Mavis?"

I looked up at Lucy in the mirror, she looked so worried and sad. "What's wrong? Aren't you happy?" I had to force my fake smile once again today, but on the inside I was crying, nervous and guilty."Yeah, I'm just feeling a little nauseous." Lucy just smiles, and finishes up her job. "I get that, you have butterflies. Don't worry, it will go away when you guys say I do."

I do one look over in the mirror for myself before I turn so everyone else can see it. I heard a collective gasp fill the room. "Thank you guys, but can I be alone for just a few minutes?" They nod and quickly leave the room. I sit on the floor and hold my stomach, I feel so sick. I was fine a few weeks ago. I sigh quietly, but then I hear a knock at the door. "I said I wanted to be alone."

"It's me, can I come in?"

I go over to the door and see Zeref in all black, it took my breath away. "You look beautiful." I had my voice caught in my throat, but then I remembered he's just standing in the hallway and anyone could see him. I yanked him into the room and locked the door. "What are you doing here? Did anyone see you?"

"Don't worry, I made sure no one saw me, I just had to see you again."

He kisses my lips lightly, and my heart flutters. "Mavis, I need to ask you something?"

"What is it?"

He takes my hand into his and cups my cheek. He does circle on my skin and the sick feeling leave me. "Leave him and come with me." Leave? Just leave Yuri at the alter. Can I do that?

"Zeref I- everyone is here and put a lot of work into this wedding."

"Are you even happy with him or are you staying cause of guilt. Do you even love him?"

He words were hurting my head, he was saying thing I was thinking that night Yuri asked me to marry him. I pull away from him and turn my back to him. "I can learn to love him. I can't leave him, he asked me to marry him and I accepted. I'm sorry, I have to go."

I grab my flowers and walk out the door, leaving him alone in my room. I silently cried all the way to the alter. When Zera saw me she asked what was wrong but I don't give her an answer. The doors open up and I hear the familiar music for the bride. I saw Yuri, looking so happy to see me and once again I force my smile. Half way down the alter, the doors open once again, I turn around along with everyone else to see Zeref standing there.

I heard my friends gasp and whisper, by now Yuri is by my side. "Zeref...you're back." He sounded so shocked. What is he doing?  Zeref came right over to the both of us and slapped Yuri's hand off of me, he takes the flowers and throws them on the ground.

"You didn't give me an answer. Look, I'm so so sorry I didn't stay in contact with you, but that doesn't mean I stopped thinking about you or stopped loving you. At times I hoped you found someone that will make you happy and not hurt you, but I can see you really don't want todo this, so please Mavis. Just come with me and we can have out forever like we talked about."

If a pen fell everyone would hear it. Only my breathing was heard, along with Zeref's. "Zeref I told you, he asked me and I said yes."

"Go with him."

We both look over to Yuri, who is smiling away. "Wh-What are you saying, that would be wrong."

"Mavis, I love you, but you love me only as a friend, it would be a great honor to have you as my wife, but I can't. Zeref is your true love and honesty I knew that the moment you two met. If you say with me, you won't be happy, not like how you are with him. I won't be mad at you, just go and live your life with him."

For the first time today I smiled without force. I hugged Yuri tightly and kissed his cheek. "Thank you." I gave him back his ring and looked to Zeref, who looked pleased. "Should we go, it looks like were crashing a wedding."

I laugh at his statement and take his hand. "Shut up silly, lets get out of here." He smirks and leads me out of the building. "Where should we go?" He squeezes my hand and looks to the area around us. "I don't know, but as long as you're by my side I don't care where we go."

"Aww, but have this crazy idea."

"Lets hear it."

"Well, I'm in a wedding dress and it looks like you're in a tux, and a tiny chapel is down the street."

He gets the point and we walk hand in had down to the speedy chapel. "You and your crazy ideas. It's one of the things I love about you."

"Zeref, I love you."

"I love you too, Forever and always."

😭so long, but I needed to make this perfect. It might be my favorite story that I wrote in this whole book and what a great way to end this book. Now don't worry, I'll explain the Season Final thing on its own, but for now. I wanna say thanks once again for making this almost 3K 😊.
