General p.o.v

Nick and Judy had just arrived at the park and decided that they would take a jog through a scenic trail it had. There was exhibits on each side of the trail made naturally from the environment.
"Nick, you ready?" Judy had already hopped out the car window and was stretching basically bouncing in place. "Hehe.. Why are you so excited to run carrots? We do it all the time on duty." "Well yea but we aren't chasing a criminal this time are we?" She smirked at him. She had a point. "You got me there, let's get going ... Cottontail" "nick had to use a nickname like that in public, didn't he" Judy thought. "Nick, no nicknames like that in public haha" nick was smiling down at her as they began to walk towards the beginning of the jogging trail. Judy had begun to blush and smiled at him in return jumping up and giving his cheek a peck. "Hehe why not in public, I thought you liked being my cottontail" nick reached around when she shifted her sight to something else and gently slapped her butt. "WHOA now Nicholas.. Haha... No no. Bad Mr. Wilde. I do live being your cottontail, just.. Keep that on a minimum haha.. Its embarrassing for people to hear it" Judy gave nick a quick wink, a dark blush showing through her gray fur. Nick chuckled a second. "Alright juds. I'll take it back a notch on the grab ass, even though you know you like it" they stared at each other for a moment and just blushed at the words nick had said. "You're damn right" Judy said and hugged him smirking a little. What they weren't noticing though were the odd looks from the other animals. A few were stuck staring. Nick had noticed one of the animals gazes, a porcupine "What's wrong, did we do something?" Nick asked as nice as he could, hiding his annoyance. "Oh no, its just that your a sick abomination to society. Interspecies sicko" the porcupine stalked off out of the park leaving nick and Judy in shock. They hadn't thought things through when they became mates, they just wanted to be with each other atlast... But in zootopia, interspecies was frowned upon. Judy's ears were flat on her back, tears welling up already. "J..Judy . don't listen to that asshole. He doesn't know what love is when he sees it... Come here" Judy held her head low and walked closer to nick, where nick gripped her into a hug. "No one. And I mean no one, could be possibly right to say were wrong by doing this. We love each other right?" Judy looked into his concerned emerald eyes and nodded. "I love you with all my heart" she said a crack in her small voice. "Don't let them see that they get to you carrots... It gives them a way to hurt you. I'm here for you now. Your my bunny, my mate for life. And I'd give it all to keep you safe and happy" nicks words hit Judy like a brick wall. He cared enough to say this aloud in a public park, holding her, a bunny. And wasn't afraid. If nick wasn't scared or hurt, she wouldn't be either. "OK nick, I want to be your bunny6 forever, and I would love to keep you.. My fox forever." "Then fuck what others think." Nick had forgotten all the others viewing the whole scene. At first they were mumbling bad things to each other like. "Ewww, interspecies. I feel sorry for that bunny" or "that fox is just using her" but what happened next silenced them. Nick had closed the gap between him and Judy while they were talking and was kissing her passionately. In front of a crowd. And when he and Judy broke, not one of the crowd that had built up had anything to say. They were in shock. "Anyone have anything to say to me and my mate?" Nick asked aloud. "Yea, .. I do." A wolf a little bigger and more muscular than nick walked up to them. "I wanted to say that I think you are a sick, sadistic, meniacle, creep. And your bunny isn't much different either" he sounded gruff, and the tone he used was threatening. "And you gonna do something to try and fix that, sir. Nick said sir with sarcasm. The wolf smiled, " ya got moxy. Too bad I'm gonna have to beat it out of you if you don't leave" at this point nick and Judy thought the same thing. *in unison* were part of the zootopia police department, would you please put your hands behind your back." "Not unless ya got a badge, fox" "well... Its not your day is it. I left it at home" nick threw a hard right hook, the wolf off guard and smashing his jaw out of alignment. He crouched next to the limp barely conscious wolf. "Don't speak to me.. Or.. My cottontail like that again, or next time were on duty we will arrest you for harassment and threatening." Nick got up and looked back at the crowd. Almost every one was awe struck. They had finally realized this fox wasn't in it for self gain.. He cared. Judy jumped and gripped nicks neck in a hug, tears of happiness in her eyes" oh thank you nick...you're the best" "no problem Hopps... Now, would you like to jog that trail?" "Yes, yes I would" Judy was smiling so big ears perked high. Nick took her hand and started jogging at a steady in sync pace with Judy down the scenic path. The day was soon to get a lot better for this unlikely couple, and they knew they could fave any problem as long as they were together.
