I'M BACK BABY YEET! (Sorry for the wait T-T)
Review #13 for an OC by the user @CreepySmileOfLies! Let's go!
DISCLAIMER: THIS IS ALL MY OPINION, SO TAKE THE ADVICE HOWEVER YOU LIKE. MY ADVICE IS NOT A PERFECT DEPICTION OF WHAT OCS SHOULD BE LIKE, THIS IS ALL IN MY POV.
SPOILER WARNING FOR DANGANRONPA 1: TRIGGER HAPPY HAVOC!
I am going to assume that this is in the Danganronpa Universe, since the oc is mentioned later on to be the Ultimate Doll Maker. Also, Alice literally towers my dad in height holy moly--
I like the idea of unrequited love with Toko, and it makes sense that she views Byakuya as an enemy. Not only because Toko is infatuated with him, but also because Byakuya treats Toko and everyone else like trash and a half (I personally hate Byakuya as a person, but love him as a character in Danganronpa. If not for him, the looming sense of danger between the students would have never been prevalent.)
I can see you based her looks off of the typical depiction of Alice from Alice in Wonderland, with the blue dress and apron, her Caucasian features, etc... It's a nice detail that makes her seem fake, like a doll.
I do like her personality a lot. She almost reminds me of the concept of "Cute yet questionable intent". it's an odd mishmash of Alice and Aya Drevis from Mad Father, with both of these characters seeing and believing that inanimate objects can come to life. (Fun fact, Mad Father was my first Horror JRPG and the first JRPG I enjoyed on my own.) But anyways, the odd mix has an appeal to it! Idk if it makes sense, but that's how I see her and what vibes I get from Alice.
1- Judging by what I can see, I headcannon that Alice has read "Doll Bones" at least once by sneaking it into the house at some point in her life(If you don't know it, look it up, it's a really good book :3).
2- The fact that she doesn't know if the summoning worked kind of makes me think that at least one of the dolls is alive or something, taken over by some demon of sorts. Just a thought of mine that could be interesting.
3- I love the idea of the mother being exposed and Alice getting recognition is amazing to me uwu.
4- The execution is perfect and brutal! It really hits home for Alice and shows the struggles she didn't even know were there.
I have an idea... I think Alice should not have strong reactions to human death. I think Alice values her dolls so much that when she sees a body, the only thing you might see her do is gasp and that's it. She might have a moment where someone rips her doll in anger, and THAT'S when the students see her strong reactions( I also think she recreates the scenes to feel remorse, in some twisted way.)
I think Alice should be close friends with Celestia Ludenberg. I am positive that Alice will like Celestia because she resembles a doll herself. She will also try to defend her in the 3rd trial because she thinks "A doll like Celestia would never hurt a fly." Hell, Celestia might even take advantage of Alice because of her love for her! It would almost be an unhealthy obsession, and when she is executed, she feels remorse for a human for the first time.
In conclusion, I love Alice a lot! I gave a few story ideas that would add depth to her overall nature, and I really think this character could go places :3
