Politicians, entrepreneurs, foreign investors, and media representatives all had gathered under the shimmering golden chandeliers, waiting for the momentous announcement.

At the podium, Mr. Jeon stood tall, his presence commanding the room as he tapped the microphone. Silence fell instantly.

"Ladies and gentlemen" his deep voice echoed, "tonight is not just a celebration it is the dawn of a new era for Jeon Enterprises."

Pride was evident in his expression as his gaze flickered toward his son.

"For decades, Jeon Enterprises has stood as a pillar of strength, wealth, and success. And today, I stand before you to pass this legacy forward to my son, the next emperor Jeon Jungkook.'

A wave of applause rippled through the hall, murmurs of approval spreading. The young heir was already a formidable name, even without officially taking the throne.

Jungkook inhaled deeply. This was it. The moment he had dreaded, the responsibility he never asked for. But humiliating his father in front of the world wasn't an option.

Taking slow, measured steps, he approached the podium. Mr. Jeon placed a firm hand on his shoulder a silent declaration of trust.

Jungkook turned to face the sea of eyes, the weight of expectations pressing on his chest.

He gripped the microphone, voice steady despite the storm within.

"I stand here today, not just as the son of Jeon Enterprises but as the man entrusted with its future." His doe eyes scanned the crowd, the air thick with anticipation.

"It is an honor, a great responsibility to take on the legacy built by my father and those before him. Jeon Enterprises has always been a symbol of strength, and I intend to uphold that standard, ensuring our continued success"

A sharp exhale.

"I look forward to leading this empire into a future of limitless possibilities. Thank you."

The hall erupted in applause, murmurs of approval sweeping through the elite guests. Jungkook had played his role perfectly.

Yoongi stood at the side, arms crossed, a rare, proud smirk on his lips.

The brat had done well.

Four years away had made him miss a lot, but standing here now, watching his younger cousin command the room even when he didn't want to was proof that Jungkook was more than just a reckless fighter or a rebellious heir.

Beside him, Namjoon and Jin shared a look one of admiration.

Jin, ever the emotional one, sniffled, clutching Namjoon's arm. "My baby bunny looks so mature up there" he whispered, teary-eyed.

Namjoon chuckled. "He did good."

Jimin, however, was the only one not buying the act.

He leaned closer to Taehyung, whispering "You do know he absolutely hates this, right?"

Taehyung didn't respond. His eyes were locked on Jungkook, a complicated mix of emotions brewing within him.

Jealousy? Possessiveness? Admiration?

Jungkook looked breathtaking standing up there powerful, refined, untouchable.

A part of him burned at the sight of so many people admiring his fiancé. But another part the deeper, more honest part was just proud.

Even if Jungkook didn't want this throne, he had still taken it. And Taehyung knew if Jungkook ever decided to fully embrace his power, the world wouldn't be ready for him.

The grand hall remained lively even after Jungkook's speech, the weight of his new title still settling in. Guests approached him one by one, offering congratulations with smiles and firm handshakes.

"Congratulations, Mr. Jeon. A well-deserved position."

"You've truly stepped into your father's shoes."

"Looking forward to your leadership, CEO Jeon."

Jungkook responded with polite nods and brief smiles. He hated this being at the center of business talk. But he had played his part well, as expected.

His father stood proudly beside him, exchanging pleasantries with influential figures. Even his mother was glowing, clearly pleased with the praise Jungkook was receiving.

Among the crowd, Yoongi stepped forward, his presence commanding yet casual. Jungkook's eyes immediately lit up at the sight of him.

"Hyung!"

Without hesitation, Jungkook launched himself at Yoongi, wrapping his arms around his older cousin.

"Hyung, you should've told me when you were coming back!" Jungkook whined, still clinging onto Yoongi's arm.

Yoongi chuckled, ruffling his hair. "And miss the chance to see your sulky face? No way."

Jungkook pouted, about to retort, but before he could, a new voice cut in.

"Min Yoongi."

Jungkook turned to see his parents approaching.

His father, Mr. Jeon, stood tall and imposing, his sharp gaze locking onto Yoongi. By his side, Mrs. Jeon, ever the radiant and warm presence, smiled brightly.

"Mrs. Jeon, Mr. Jeon," Yoongi greeted casually, offering a respectful nod but maintaining his usual nonchalant air.

"Oh my, Yoongi! It's been so long!" Mrs. Jeon gushed, taking his hands in hers. "Look at you! So handsome and successful now!"

Yoongi blinked at her enthusiasm before letting out a small chuckle. "You haven't changed, Mrs. Jeon. Still as sweet as ever."

She laughed, patting his arm. "Of course! Unlike someone here who's always so stiff and grumpy." She side-eyed Mr. Jeon.

Mr. Jeon merely scoffed. "Flattery won't get you anywhere, Min."

Yoongi smirked. "I wasn't trying to impress you, sir."

Jungkook snickered, earning a glare from his father. But before the conversation could continue, Yoongi's eyes flickered back to him.

"By the way, Bunny, I saw something interesting in the news recently."

Jungkook frowned. "News?"

Yoongi crossed his arms. "Something about an engagement?"

Jungkook stiffened. His parents exchanged glances, while Jimin, who had been sipping on a cocktail nearby, perked up like a gossip-loving squirrel.

Before Jungkook could open his mouth, another voice interrupted.

"Ah, hyung. You're asking quite a lot of questions."

Jungkook barely had time to react before a familiar warmth pressed against his side, an arm slipping around his waist.

Taehyung, The atmosphere changed instantly.

Jungkook tensed, already annoyed. Meanwhile, Yoongi turned his head slightly, his sharp eyes scanning Taehyung.

"And you must be the so-called fiancé," Yoongi drawled, unimpressed.

Taehyung tilted his head slightly, a slow smirk curving his lips. "And you must be the so-called favorite hyung," he replied, voice smooth but laced with something darker.

Yoongi hummed. "Interesting."

Jungkook groaned, pushing Taehyung's arm off him. "Hyungiee, don't believe everything you read. The engagement-"

"-is very much real," Taehyung interrupted smoothly.

Jungkook shot him a glare. "Excuse me?"

Taehyung simply smiled, but his grip on Jungkook's wrist tightened just slightly.

Yoongi's gaze flickered between them, and something in his expression shifted.

"Aha," he mused. "I see."

Jungkook frowned. "What do you see?"

Yoongi smirked. "Nothing much. Just that some people don't like sharing."

Taehyung's jaw ticked.

Jungkook let out a frustrated sigh. "For the love of-Hyung, stop provoking him. And you," he turned to Taehyung, "stop acting like you own me."

Taehyung merely smiled. "But I do, Jungkookie."

Jungkook's face burned. "No, you don't!"

Mrs. Jeon giggled at their interaction before clapping her hands. "Alright, alright, let's not tease Jungkook too much. Yoongi, come meet Namjoon and Jin!"

At that, Yoongi turned, eyes landing on the elegant couple standing nearby.

Namjoon extended a hand with a dimpled smile. "Namjoon. It's nice to finally meet you."

Yoongi shook his hand lazily. "Min Yoongi. Jungkook's actual favorite."

Jin gasped dramatically. "Excuse me?! I thought I was his favorite!"

A dramatic gasp filled the air.

All heads turned to see jimin standing there, eyes sparkling, hands clutching his chest like he'd been struck by lightning.

Jungkook groaned. "Oh no."

Jimin pointed at Yoongi. "The voice. The aura. The swag" He let out a breathy sigh. "Jungkook, you didn't tell me he was this fine!"

Yoongi raised a brow. "What?"

Jimin dramatically fanned himself. "I was so prepared, you know? I heard everything. The Japan trip, the business empire, the deep voice, the Min Yoongi. But nothing could prepare me for seeing you in person."

Yoongi blinked. "You were eavesdropping?"

Jimin waved him off. "Details. What matters is-" He stepped closer, looking at Yoongi like he was a limited-edition luxury item. "This is love at first sight."

Yoongi took a step back. "No, this is harassment."

Jimin pouted. "How can you say that? Look at my eyes. Do you see the spark?"

Yoongi deadpanned. "I see delusion."

Jungkook burst into laughter, while Jin was giggling behind his hand. Mrs. Jeon looked delighted, while Mr. Jeon looked like he wanted to leave.

Meanwhile, Taehyung, who had been silently observing everything, took a deep breath before speaking.

"Jungkook."

The way he said it low, firm, commanding made Jungkook pause.

Taehyung gave him a pointed look. "Come with me. We have something to discuss."

Jungkook frowned. "We do?"

"Yes."

Yoongi, watching from the side, smirked knowingly. "Someone's getting territorial."

Taehyung's eye twitched, but he said nothing. Instead, he reached for Jungkook's wrist.

Jungkook, however, had had enough. He snatched his hand away, eyes flashing.

"Okay, you" He pointed at Taehyung. "Stop being possessive."

Then, he turned to Yoongi. "You stop provoking him."

And finally, he turned to Jimin. "You go find someone else to harass.

Jimin pouted but quickly leaned closer to Yoongi again. "Hyungggg, Jungkook's being mean to me. Comfort me."

Yoongi sighed. "I swear to god, I'm moving back to Japan."

Jungkook groaned, dragging hand down his face.

This night was exhausting
