The night was supposed to end smoothly. The grand announcement had been made, the guests had been entertained, and Jungkook had played his role perfectly.
But of course, nothing ever went as planned.
The grand hall was alive with laughter and the clinking of glasses when the music suddenly shifted. The soft classical tunes faded out, replaced by something... unexpected.
A sultry, intoxicating beat pulsed through the speakers. The kind that made heads turn and conversations pause.
Jungkook, who had been standing by the drinks table, froze. He recognized that song.
"Oh no" he muttered.
Yoongi, standing beside him, smirked "Oh yes."
And then the chaos unfolded!!!!
Jimin. ☠️
In the center of the hall, Park Jimin dressed in elegance but with the aura of a troublemaker grinned as he pulled Taehyung onto the dance floor.
The guests gasped.
Taehyung raised a brow, clearly caught off guard. "Jimin, what are you-"
But before he could protest, Jimin spun him, pressing close with a smirk.
"Since everyone is so serious tonight" Jimin purred "let's liven things up a little, hmm?"
And just like that, the heir to a business empire and the deadliest dancer in the room were moving smooth, sensual and oh so confident.
The hall erupted in whispers.
Jungkook? He nearly choked on his champagne.
"What. The. Hell?"
Yoongi casually sipped his drink. "Now this is entertainment."
Jungkook's fists clenched. Not because he was jealous (he wasn't, okay?), but because Jimin knew exactly what he was doing.
And he was doing it well.
Taehyung wasn't resisting, he was smirking playing along as his hands settled on Jimin's waist.
Jungkook felt something snap.
"Oh, screw this" he muttered, slamming his glass down.
Then, before he could stop himself, he stormed onto the dance floor.
Taehyung barely had time to react before Jungkook cut in, smoothly pulling him away from Jimin and into his arms.
(They looks like a literal fairytale couple?! My heart isn't ready for this level of adorableness!! Someone call 911 I'm going to die!!:))
Anyways... after completely losing my mind over Taekook being the most adorable duo to ever exist....let's get back to the story before I combust again.😅

The crowd gasped.
Jimin blinked. "Oh?"
Taehyung, amused let Jungkook take the lead. "Jealous, are we?"
Jungkook scowled. "Shut up and dance."
And so they did.
It wasn't just a dance anymore it was a battle.
Jimin, watching from the side, smirked in victory. Mission successful.
Yoongi? He just laughed, sipping his whiskey. "I love family reunions.
------
The grand party had finally come to an end. Guests had left, the golden chandeliers dimmed, and the Jeon Mansion stood quiet once more except for the presence of a few lingering figures.
Jungkook exhaled as he leaned against the grand staircase, loosening his tie. "Finally," he muttered.
Yoongi, standing beside him, scoffed. "You survived. Barely."
Jungkook shot him a look. "Not all of us enjoy public events, Hyung."
Yoongi chuckled. "And yet, you stole the spotlight like a natural."
Jungkook groaned. "I swear, if one more person calls me 'CEO Jeon' tonight-"
Before he could finish, his phone buzzed. A familiar name flashed across the screen: "uncle Min💗
Yoongi, peeking at the screen, smirked. "Ah, look at that. Your favorite actual parents are calling."
Jungkook shot him a glare but quickly answered, his tone instantly softening. "Hello?"
A warm, deep voice came through. "Jungkookie! My boy, we saw everything. You looked magnificent up there."
A small smile tugged at Jungkook's lips. "Uncle..."
Another voice joined in softer, yet equally affectionate. "Baby, you should've told us it was happening tonight! We would've come to support you!"
Jungkook melted. "Aunty..."
Yoongi rolled his eyes. "You do realize you've adopted my parents, right?"
Jungkook ignored him.
"Uncle, Aunty, I swear I didn't know about this announcement either. If I did, I would've begged you to come."
"Aigoo, my poor baby," Mrs. Min cooed. "Forced into a role he didn't even want. Are you eating well, sweetheart?"
Jungkook huffed, but his heart warmed. "Yes, I'm eating well."
Mr. Min chuckled. "Lies. I know stress makes you forget to eat. When are you coming over? Your Aunty wants to make your favorite dishes."
Jungkook actually pouted. "I'll visit soon, I promise."
Yoongi crossed his arms, smirking. "Should I leave you to your actual family?"
Jungkook nudged him. "Shut up, Hyung."
Mrs. Min laughed. "Yoongi, bring Jungkook home soon. I swear, we love him more than you."
Yoongi gasped dramatically. "I knew it!"
Jungkook laughed, the weight of the evening finally lifting from his chest. No matter what happened, no matter how exhausting his responsibilities became, he would always have the Mins his true safe place after his mom.

The Next Morning - Jeon Enterprises
Morning came too soon.
Jungkook, dressed in a perfectly tailored suit, stood before the massive glass building of Jeon Enterprises. His new reality.
Yoongi, standing beside him, adjusted his own tie lazily. "Ready?"
Jungkook inhaled sharply. "Not really."
Yoongi patted his back. "Too bad. You're the boss now."
Jungkook sighed. "God help me."
With that, they stepped inside, the employees bowing respectfully. The halls felt different now. This wasn't just his father's empire anymore. It was his.
The weight of it settled in but so did the determination in his chest.
No matter what, he wouldn't fail.

Kim Mansion - Kim Entertainment
Meanwhile, across the city, the Kim Mansion was bustling with its own morning chaos.
Taehyung adjusted the cuffs of his dark blue blazer as he sipped his morning coffee. Beside him, Jimin scrolled through his schedule.
"We have a meeting at 10 AM with the directors," Jimin murmured, "and after that, your father wants a private discussion about-"
"Let me guess," Taehyung cut in, voice dry. "My engagement?"
Jimin smirked. "Bingo."
Taehyung sighed, setting his coffee down. He wasn't opposed to marrying Jungkook. If anything, the idea of officially having him was... thrilling.
But the fact that their parents were deciding without them?
Yeah, that was annoying.
Jimin, watching his expression, grinned. "You're so whipped."
Taehyung shot him a look. "Shut up, Chimmie."
Jimin laughed. "Better get used to it, Fiancé."

Later that evening, the Jeon Mansion was once again filled with the presence of powerful figures.
Mr. Jeon & Mrs. Jeon.
Namjoon & Jin
And of course... Taehyung & Jungkook.
Seated around a grand dining table, the atmosphere was both formal and affectionate.
"We've decided," Mr. Jeon began, voice calm yet firm, "that the engagement should be official within the next month."
Jungkook, who had been sipping water, choked.
Taehyung, completely unfazed, merely raised a brow. "That soon?"
Mrs. Jeon smiled warmly. "We believe it's time to make things public. You're both already engaged in spirit, aren't you?"
Jungkook gaped. "I-what? Who said-?"
Jin chuckled. "baby bunny , darling, the whole world already sees you as Taehyung's."
Jungkook flushed. "I... I never agreed to-"
Taehyung smirked. "So, you don't want to marry me?"
Jungkook's mouth opened then closed.
Silence.
Mrs. Jeon giggled. "That's what I thought."
Namjoon cleared his throat. "The engagement will be grand. We will announce it properly, with an official ceremony if that's okay with you two."
Taehyung leaned back, looking at Jungkook. "Well, Kookie? Ready to be mine officially?"
Jungkook glared. "You're so annoying."
Taehyung's smirk deepened. "You love it."
Jungkook huffed, but his reddening ears betrayed him.
Mrs. Min's voice suddenly rang in Jungkook's mind: "Baby, you should've told us! We would've come to support you!"
Jungkook exhaled deeply. This was really happening.
He glanced at Taehyung, who, despite his teasing, had nothing but warmth in his eyes.
Maybe... this wasn't so bad.
Maybe being his wouldn't be bad at all but i still hate him. (Really...?)
