Aiyana was raised solely by her father, Standing Rock Indian Reservation. Though it was only until she was eight years old when they left because her father was enrolled in the military, they often moved base to base. She never met her mother. She never stayed in one place either. It wasn't until she was sixteen when she was forced to move to Montana after her father was KIA. She was forced to live with a woman that she did not know. It did not go over so well, as her mother had other children, and she was a well-known alcoholic. She often fought and argued with her mother, and her mother allowed it to escalate to physically abusing Aiyanna for misbehaving. Therefore, Aiyana started to run away a lot and do crazy shit.
